Ideal laptop for my daughter

When my daughter needed a new computer to replace her old Dell mini-tower, she wanted a laptop. After comparing several models we agreed on this Lenovo. She decided the size and weight were right, while I approved the hardware features; the processor, graphics and RAM were more than adequate for her needs, and I doubt she will ever fill up the hard drive since she uses a cloud-storage service.
In fact, her new Lenovo outperforms my two-year-old HP Pavilion laptop in almost every way, even though I spent nearly twice as much at the time. Of course, neither compares to my primary computer, a Haswell Core i5-powered tower I built -- but for everyday use, the Lenovo is more than enough for most users.

So far so good. At this price it offers more than I needed and some extra. Plus at this price, it came with 6gb or ram compared to your average 4gb. And it had a 1tb hard drive, which was plenty enough

6GB Ram, 1TB hard drive for under $300, yes please! Awesome little AMD quad core laptop packing 6GB of Ram and a 1TB hard drive. Nice size screen, responsive touchpad, Windows 10. I am very impressed and that's not easy to do since I have over 20 years in Fortune 50 Enterprise IT organizations.

For the price, this is the best laptop money can buy. The processor is decent enough to do your everyday tasks. Enough memory and hard drive space for normal use. And it comes with Bluetooth, a 3.0 usb as an added bonus at this price range.

I didn't want to spend a large amount of money for another laptop that I really only needed to download photos from my Iphone or just back it up! This ended up being the exact thing I needed because it had a large hard drive and priced lower than other with less space. I read some reviews on it and it said something about the keys being hard to press. I have had no problems with any thing on this computer! Others were saying it ran slow but mine seemed to open fast and when I went to download apps or open several pages at a time I had no problems! So I am happy with my computer and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to save money and get a bunch of storage! You just can't go wrong for the price!

I went to get a last minute implies purchase for a graduation gift for a friend. I knew a wanted a laptop, and was looking at quite a few low end models before I found this computer as an open box return. It had higher specs than the new models in my price range, and it even rang up for a lower price than the sticker showed (under $200 after tax).
For a gift it serves it's purpose, but the build quality is NOTHING to write home about. The whole thing flexes when you type on the keyboard, and even though after a month there haven't been any issues I definitely would not recommend spending more than I did for this model.

4 gb ram enough for doing your daily thing, but will probably upgrade to 8gb because more is better :)
For the processor... Really good for that tier of laptop. Quad core 2ghz, good GPU because it's a A8.
Surprisingly quiet and cool since it's an AMD. They tend to be on the noisy and hot side but it's really nice in my opinion. The processor seem to be placed right on the right of the trackpad, cuz that's where I feel a bit of heat coming out from. The CPU fan is really quiet (surprisingly again). I'm not really greedy when it comes to keybards and trackpads. As long as it works and does what I'm telling it to do it's fine. Yes the shift key on the right side is small, but it's only a matter of time before I don't notice it anymore.
Glossy display, it might not be a pro but colors seem to be more vivid, I like the fact that they went with click buttons for right and left trackpad because it is easier to use I guess and it's less of a hassle. The dvd drive bay is not necessary, but it's a plus and the slim design is really nice. I kinda wish there were usb ports on the back of the laptop but other than that it's ok.

Bought the Lenovo A8 w/6GB Ram & 1TBB HD, pretty good laptop for 300+ bucks. The Key to the Webroot AV provided w/my Laptop purchase did not work, the Webroot Tech support & Geeksquad were not helpful!! I had to figure it out myself... also just 10 days later the laptop shut off/rebooted in the middle of my work, I don't know why? I will take it to BB store this week ad see if the "Geeksquad" can give an answer...

This laptop is OK. The finish feels flimsy and I'm sure the screen is going to break off soon. I was hoping for better speed from this with the A8 and 6gb of ram but it is a little sluggish. That all being said it was one of the cheapest full windows laptop. It's OK for the price.

I bought this to replace a homemade five-year-old AMD dekstop, which offered far-superior performance. Can't wait until I can build a new one. If you're someone who wants or needs to keep multiple windows open, you won't be too pleased with this computer--it's very slow--but it does a good job, otherwise. I'm also less than thrilled with the keyboard, which is quite a bit smaller than my desktop and not lighted. For a basic laptop, though, it's pretty good and easy to service should you ever need to.

I actually wasn't sure what type of computer I would need and when I told the salesman what I needed, he showed me this computer! It has a 1TB hard drive and that allowed me to download my photos from my iPhone 6! It connected to it fast and downloaded all 1,600 photos and videos I had on my phone! It also allows you to have several programs opened at once without slowing down! I felt I got a lot of computer for the $299 price tag!

Much slower than anticipated for an AMD A8. Quirky touchpad. WI FI receiver really limits this device. Regret this purchase.

I really like the 10-key on the side of the key board. The battery doesn't last long though. I just use it for social media and creating a few spreadsheets. I have only had it a short time but no problems so far. I have not even used the cooling pad I bought since it has not gotten even warm while working on it (maybe 2 hours at a time).

Easy to setup out of the box. Connected to the home network without any issues. Screen display is not that sharp, but reasonable. However, for the price you get 6G, 1TB and a DVD, you cannot get that off of the more expensive laptops. Would recommend to anyone looking for a complete laptop experience.

This was purchases for my wife who is a PC user. I use a Mac. I found setting it up with the installed Windows 10 tedious. I was a PC user for years but Win 10 confuses me at every turn. I attribute this to the operations system, not Lenovo. Once set up, it appears to operate just fine.

My husband and I were looking for a reliable computer to help start our new business, and this Lenovo laptop has done just that- and more! It has all the programs we need, is light weight and has a large screen. Plus, it was a great price! We couldn't be happier with our purchase.

My Lenovo G50-45 laptop was a great buy. It has 6GB memory and 1TB hard drive. It come with a one year warranty and extra protection plan for $60. The only problem it has is a cheaply made mouse but for the price, processer, memory and hard drive it is well worth it.
