Love this all in one PC

We needed a new PC and this is a powerful system. Lots of storage space. I love the portability of the all in one. You can pick it up like an iPad and move it to a different location. Watch a movie or work on the large screen in somewhere other than the office. The Lenovo also comes with game pucks to play air hockey and other games. The apps are easy to obtain and the transition was really smog. Love it!

Fantastic hardware needs some addons for my use

I bought this 27 inch all in one for my office. I needed dual monitors. I had planned to use the HDMI port for the second monitor but it turns out that is for HDMI in only a fact unknown to my Best buy sales person or Leveno!. This seems to have been corrected in the specs. There is no Ethernet port either, BB documentation is not correct. To make the unit usable for business purposes you need to upgrade the Windows 8 home to Windows 8 or 8.1 professional this allows you to join a domain. You can use built in wireless AC or purchase a USB 3.0 gigabit adapter, I bought a hub that included the Gb ethernet. For a second monitor you must purchase a USB to VGA,DVI or HDMI adapter. I bought a USB 3.0 to VGA adapter for this. There is some sort of software pack from Intel but I have yet to get any info how to get it or when it will be avalible. I wish Leveno had a business pack that included all of the above. With all that said this is a fantastic computer, fast quiet, great high resolution multi touch monitor. As it is sold it is a great computer for home and family gaming. The Aura interface is ahead of anything else I have seen. I can not get the NFC function to work with my Samsung note 2. I would like to be able to have the function keys, alt and Ctrl in a on screen bar to make my business programs more keyboard free the windows virtual keyboard takes up too much screen space his to get these. I am planning to buy 3 more even with the needed addons. I love this computer!

    excellent home pc

The whole family loves it. We use it for browsing, video editing, you tube etc. Kids use it for gaming and online videos. Best part is for family time we lay it flat and all 4 of us can play games. Tons of hard disk space to store videos and photos and music. Only draw backs are 1. Some times you need to have the keyboard handy as the onscreen keyboard doesn't show up, 2. some times the wifi connection gets choppy and you have to reset it. 3. It doesn't have a built in card reader to transfer photos and videos. I use my USB card reader. 4. I never got to make the nfc connection to work with my phone. Not sure if it actually works.

Word of advice, if you want to make this your primary computer and then hook it up to a spare monitor- you will need to do so with a usb cable from this computer to your spare monitor which might require a usb to your monitor cable adapter. Other than that hiccup it works great. I use this for work and have multiple programs going on at once which require a powerful computer and this does it all. Very impressed. Love the portability. Love the touchscreen. I had to download a windows 7 converter (windows 7 shell) so I didnt have to mess with the windows 8 but it made it look like the easy to use Windows 7. Love the sound and display as well. Oh you will want to turn of the "light sensor" in the display settings or else it will randomly dim on you. Would buy again.

Great Idea, Reality Not Quite As Good

First let me say that this idea, a 27-inch touchscreen monitor with both a computer and a battery built in is awesome. Since I'm not a gamer, I doubt that this will ever be laid flat, but even that is a terrific idea. Most of all, my wife is visually impaired (retina disease) to the extent that even a screen magnifier like ZoomText isn't always enough. This also meant a 23" monitor was usable, but limited, since you can only see so much of a web page when you're using 3x to 4x magnification. Now she can use a lower magnification and see more on the monitor with this 27" device. Unfortunately, this device really needs just a couple of tweaks, and certainly Lenovo could provide a more succinct and easy-to-follow path to Windows 10. Even with the original Windows 8.1, this device has difficulty recognizing a keyboard or mouse plugged directly into a USB port (like my wife's large-print-keys keyboard). It will wake from sleep and not respond to any USB keyboard or USB mouse events until you go into Device Manager, Uninstall the two devices it can't recognize (even though it labels them as keyboard and mouse with !'s), then Scan for hardware changes, after first unplugging and replugging the USB connections. Even so, this was a good buy!

    Innovative "Cool" New Gadget

Was looking to get a somewhat permanent desktop-like computer that didn't take up much space. Although the screen on this is massive, its footprint is very minimal. Purchased a USB Blu-Ray Reader/Writer from LG for around 80 bucks at the store to go with it because I'm old school like that. The combination of working like a desktop with the ability to also work as a tablet finally bridges the gap as this is essentially the first of the fully functional tablets that can do anything a desktop can do. Only gripe on this particular model is the 5400RPM HD. Could have gotten the next model up with SSD but with the price this was on sale for, I can swap out for an SSD and upgrade the memory while I'm in there. ***Some issues that may be important to people. There is no internet jack on this, so wireless or use a USB port and buy the adapter. Also, there is no memory card reader. Cheap to get one (About 10), but something else to look at***

Top of the line all in one

Big, beautiful display. Set up was pretty simple and straight forward. One of the selling points for a device is it's portability. It's able to be used as a large make shift tablet. The issue: battery life not all that strong. The truth is that most people would buy a smaller machine for that purpose. I'd say if you're looking for the best of the best, this is your choice.

Like Best Buy this Portable AIO has it all!

This was a perfect match for me! I'm a speaking deaf student and with the voice recognition software (Cortana) and the large touch screen pair perfectly for my interactive presentations! The HD screen is perfect for video presentations or watching HD movies at home or on the go. The battery life is exceptional for a 27" HD monitor where I have been getting 4+ hours of life. It is fast and responsive. There are plenty of USB and HDMI ports which I seldom use since my 3D Blue-Ray player is wireless and so are all my portable wireless flash drives which I also picked up at Best Buy. The streaming is seamless without any hiccups or buffering. For the price, this large portable. AIO is a great deal! I take mine out onto the deck in the evening and watch the sunset while streaming and watching my favorite shows and news! What are you waiting for? Go get yours before they are gone!

This thing is awesome! It is an over-sized tablet basically. The screen is huge and the wireless keyboard and mouse are quiet and handy. It takes a little getting used to because it combines your traditional computer familiarity and throws in apps and stuff from your tablet. Took me a minute to figure out that that is what was happening Lol. Comes with a carry-bag and joysticks, too. LOVE IT! Just wish the price wasn't so high! (It does not come with a dvd drive, just fyi.)

I was super excited to get this home. However, the installation process was long and complicated. Long story short the drivers were not installed correctly and we had to go into the operating system and turn them back on. A general computer person (like myself) would not be able to figure all this out. Luckily, my boyfriend is a computer whiz. But even then he spent hours on it. Overall, I like it, but the set up process was horrible! But from what Lenovo said this was unheard of, so maybe we were the only ones.

I came to the store with my mind made up to get a 27" iMac !! After the Intel guy told us about this all in one I fell in love with it but didn't buy it that day!! Came home did my research and sure enough the review were great! First of all the computer is very quit! Second, it's touch screen feature is very responsive Third, it protect your eyes because of the anti glare system And last , it is movable in and out of the room I went back to get one and there was a different guy telling me how horrible it is and trying to tell me I should get an IMac !!!! I went with my intuition and trusted my research but thin one ( they had a certified open box for $300 cheaper ) and I LOVE it hands down !!!!!!

    So far so good

    Posted .

I have had it for about a week and so far I am very pleased with the performance. Photoshop CC and Office 2013 installed easily and seem to be running without issue. I was a bit disappointed when I set it up and noticed that several Items that I thought were included were not: - No 3-in-1 media reader - No Built-in 10/100/1000 Ethernet LAN - No E-Dice The screen size and resolution are great and appears to be very responsive. All in all this is a pricey machine but it I am quite happy with it so far. Hopefully it stays that way

    Needs higher resolution screen

This would be a great device if it had screen resolution of 2560x1440 or better so it can be used to view and manage documents. As is, the tablet is fine for games and video applications. Hopefully, Lenovo plans to introduce better capabilities in future versions of this otherwise great concept.

Needs a much faster hard drive

    Posted .

A 5400 RPM hard drive is completely inadequate for a modern Windows 8 system. Doesn't even make sense given the price for 7200rpm drives is almost the same. Better yet, a 512gb SSD is only about $150 more. Lenovo needs to get on the ball. Out of the box this desktop is way too slow to boot. And this is their updated model for fall 2014! Very disappointing! Thankfully, I grabbed a Crucial MX100 SSD on Amazon, cloned the hard drive, and replaced it in about 2 hours. The screen pry's apart from the body which is a hair raising experience to do on a new PC. Thankfully, Lenovo has videos online for how to do this at (http://www.lenovoservicetraining.com/#. Needless to say, be very careful if you choose to do this. Overall, it's a very nice device. My wife prefers the dull fingerprint proof screen, although I think it does look a little fuzzy #not as bright). That's a matter of choice. The Aura interface is very cool although we haven't used it that much yet. I prefer the 1080 HD resolution over QHD -- it's plenty sharp and battery life will be much better. The SSD will also improve battery life.

It's like using a tablet but with the biggest screen, faster and huge memory. It even has its own graphic card for games and apps. you should try the Aura feature a great innovation by Lenovo. I can take this anywhere and it greatly help on my client presentations they are awed once I take it out from the carrying bag that looks like a reusable grocery bag!

This thing rocks - I've actually converted to this for my primary pc usage, and haven't missed a beat. It took a bit to grasp all the functions, but overall, this thing is a beast. If you want to have a high-functioning, sleek and show-offy all-in-one, grab it!

After researching various products online, as well as checking Best Buy's considerable inventory, I purchased the Lenovo Horizon All-in-One. I have found that the Lenovo far exceeds both my expectations and requirements. Technically advanced, the touch screen feature enankes the user to easily navigate the many programs. Fully recommend this product.

I can't say a good thing about this machine. It did not come with Windows 10 installed and since I much prefer W/10 over W/8 I immediately installed 10. Tuned out, that was a terrible decision. For one thing Aura (a big reason I bought the machine) does not work under 10 on this machine. Lenovo knows, says they're working on it, but 10's been our for many months... I have no idea when solutions will be available. Most of the problems I had seemed to stem from the 10 install but there was also a hardware problem whereby about every 2d or 3d boot, the touch sensitivity on the monitor was wacky and a particular spot on the screen acted like it was being touched constantly thereby always directing the response to that spot. Of course, this made the machine completely unusable. If that had been the only problem I would probably have contacted Lenovo or Best Buy for a replacement but combine this with all the other issues related to W/10 (I've only mentioned Aura incompatibility but it was one of several including a frustrating issue with power/sleep modes and inability to work bluetooth compatibility) and I took it back for return. This was a very hard decision because I spent hours and hours trying to get things right. This was my first time working with a Lenovo product and I will never buy one again. If some some reason you buy this machine, my main advice would be: (1) DO NOT install windows 10 and keep track of the Lenovo support site to see when it might be safe or be prepared to stick with W/8 for as long as you own this machine; (2) buy an extended warranty and (3) be prepared for frustration.

Bought this as an open box - buy floor model. There has been a handful of times over the past two months where the mouse icon starts to blink and the mouse becomes useless. Restarting the computer is the only way to get it working again. It hasn't happened again for a couple of weeks. I am wondering it it is because the computer was originally installed with Windows 8, however, at some point it updated to Windows 10. I had read that there may be issues when updating. If it happens again, I will uninstall Windows 10. Overall, I am happy with the computer. The screen is awesome.

great tablet , but problem with the Win 8 software

the tablet, the fact that you can use it as PC and as tablet, plus the very innovative Lenovo 27 '' game and media software makes it really a great piece of computer. What I don't like is that the Win 8 software loaded is still full of bugs, example: at the beginning the touch screen feature and functions did not work, had to load a win 8 patch to make it work. hope the quality of the OS software will match the quality of the HW
