I thought it would be a great buy. The first 2 months went along and it worked very well. It was they speed they needed and exactly what they needed to get the job done.. until one day they went to turn it on and it was literally a brick!! I wouldn't waste your money on this lenovo piece of junk!

Posted .The Lenovo IdeaCentre 510A Desktop, model number 90HV0003US is a fast configuration, with the powerful Six-Core Intel Core i5-8400 processor, with a base speed of 2.8GHz and a Turbo Boost speed of up to 4.0GHz. This processor is supported by 8GB DDR4-2666MHz RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. We recommend you contact your printer manufacturer for pairing instructions for a new Windows 10 computer. Be sure your model printer is compatible with Windows 10 and you have the right drivers installed. These should be available from the printer manufacturer's website.
Worked for One Day

It worked for one day. Power would not turn on the second time. I was told to try to hold power button for 30 seconds, reset it, unplug, try again. Nothing worked. Could not chat online, could not talk to a person over the phone, and the stores will not accept in store support at this time. Unfortunately, I think BestBuy gave me a cheap power cord or defective computer and this product will no longer run. Last time I purchase from here.

Posted .Did you plug your external speakers into the 3.5mm audio port on the front of the computer, behind the door on the right side? If your external computer speakers use an RCA Audio plug, then plug those speakers into the one RCA audio-In port on the back top of the computer. First, be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10 on the computer then update all of the BIOS files and drivers up to that latest version of Windows 10. You can easily accomplish this by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software available on this computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.

Went out after 50 days

I took it back to best buy and no returns after 15 days. They are sending it back to the manufacturer for repair or replacement but I am out 3 weeks without my computer during finals at college. I have never had a computer go out less than two months old.

They were a mixed of good and bad. This computer is slow like a 90s pc and doesn't want to boot up at times or come out of sleep mode reliably. I should have listened to the other negative reviews! This pc is complete crap! Stay away from Lenovo! I'd give it negative 10 if possible!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just picked this up as an upgrade from my current 7 year old Lenovo desktop which is still running strong but has slowed down quit a bit and getting old. I wanted to stick with Lenovo since my PC (pentium dual core2.5 5200 4gig ram) has been rock solid and I read good things about the i5 8400 and this seemed like a great deal at 500 with these specs. I hooked up, ran updates, installed a Samsung evo 560 500 gig SSD and this thing flies big league :). Totally impressed and is a huge upgrade so far from my current desktop. I havent tried to video edit yet but from what I read about the i5 8400 I should have no issues. I only console game so can't comment on that. So far I am very satisfied with this and hopefully it has the reliabiity of my 7 yo lenovo.

Optical drive went down two months in; constantly requires driver updates; doesn't recognize apps, etc. etc. etc. Would have returned a long time ago, but I kept thinking I could make it work better. Actually, with a lot of constant workarounds, I have made it livable.And don't get me started about non-existent Lenovo customer service
