The price was $379.99 and I bought it. After 2 weeks, I received an email from BB and said it was selling for $329.99. I thought about returning and buying again, so BB had to make a profit. I’m the field and wanted to give my review. Price paid : $349 The good: 1. I researched for quite some time in 8gb memory and 256ssd drive with 1900x 1600 resolution . Most prices were $700 or above . 2. Processor is well established you don’t need to be concerned about it 3. Speed: this machine is fast and quiet you will not be disappointed apps and boot time Launch is near immediate 4. Heat: a little warm after 3-4 hours of use but nothing extraordinary 5. Graphics/monitor: not the best thought I would get better clarity with 1080p but you don’t . It’s not that big a deal but don’t expect Retina display 6. Battery life: ok about 4-5 hours 7. Case: slightly cheap looking but not bad the touchpad is miserable but if you have usb mouse which I prefer machine performs just fine 8. Camera : reviews are correct not worth even having . My kids stated to laugh because they have never seen something so pixelated. Not an issue for me as the purpose is internet and school work. Overall: you can’t beat the price, I haven’t gamed on this , don’t think it was meant for that . If you can use mouse and don’t care about camera you won’t be dissatisfied

I would just recommend to look for a computer with a greater battery capacity as this is a brand new computer and I can get, for most at a battery saver mode, 4 hours full-charge. The camera isn't great as well, I personally have no issues with it, but these are the only negatives I can see by now. Other than that, fast processor and programs work fine.

The low battery life wasn't too much of an issue since I kept it plugged in most of the time. But now it's a big inconvenience. The web cam is passable but not good by any means though it pairs well with the awful screen that has the worst viewing angles and contrast. By now it's also slowed down by a lot as well

I used the camera on a Zoom interview and it worked just fine. The person on the other end didn't say anything so guess it' works if you don't need to use it often...just make sure you have plenty of lighting - appears dark. I don't use the camera much so other than that, I love the computer. Larger than I thought and as mentioned, great speed with the processor. 4 stars, could have been 5 if the camera was better. Definitely a good buy. No regrets.

It is a little big, but when you get past that one hiccup, it's the perfect laptop. This is NOT an Ultrabook. It is not slim and I am okay with that. What this is however, is a fast responsive laptop, that is able to handle my basic commands with ease. My previous laptop was an ASUS Ultrabook that I paid almost 1000 for and it ended up being a piece of garbage right out the box. Constantly freezing, computer crashing, blue screen of "death". After 6 years of incompetence, it finally died, just when my husband and I made the switch from android phones, to iPhones and we needed a reliable laptop to transfer our vast music collection to iTunes. I didn't want to make the same mistake and spend a, in my opinion, exorbitant amount of money, for an underperforming laptop, that is just going to sit in my drawer for most of the year, until the rare occasion where I'll need to boot it up and use it. So, I did some research, compared specs, and I chose this laptop. The speed of which this laptop was able to transfer my music collection, and my husbands as well, is what convinced me to write this review. My music collection is paltry compared to my husbands. He has THOUSANDS of songs stored on his micro-sd card, and this laptop was able to get everything transferred, from the micro sd to iTunes, then to his iPhone in under 20 minutes. This request would have taken my previous laptop hours, and that's if it actually was able to complete the request without crashing. iTunes is not a small program, and it takes quite a bit of processing power and memory just to use it properly. This laptop does have HD capability (1920X1080) graphics, however, what the screen is made out of does not allow for true accurate HD, I don't use webcam, so the subpar web cam is not important to me, and the laptop has 10 key, which is amazing. This laptop may not be the prettiest compared to an Ultrabook, but it works, and has not once froze on me or crashed, even when I had multiple programs running at once. I do not regret this purchase. For the price, it can't be beat. This laptop definitely will not be sitting in a drawer for most of the year since it actually works, I'll be using it more often, than not. I'm even thinking of making my own little computer station by buying a desk, connecting this laptop to a docking station, and using this as my base for a 4K monitor and wireless mouse and keyboard combo. After continuous use for the past four days, I think this power horse will do just fine.

Initial problems with fan

After 2 days, the fan kicked in and ran constantly. Fortunately, my computer science major, college junior son was able to fix it. (Not sure what he did, but problem was solved.) Otherwise, I like that the computer boots up right away. Good size screen.
