You cannot play WoW without have the fan on the heaviest level and the graphics for the game at it's lowest. If you did nothing other than use this for normal internet searching it would be fine. Gaming is next to impossible if you want anything better than mediocre graphics otherwise the comp overheats and shuts down.

To start, while system fans may activate and ramp to help keep the system cool, to help ensure efficient performance, we recommend ensuring you have the latest software by checking for updates, as this could correct the issue. To do so, first, open the Settings app > Select the Windows update tab > Select the Check for updates button, apply all available updates. Next, open the Lenovo Vantage app > on the homepage, select the Check for updates button, following on-screen prompts to apply all available updates here as well.
Also, after updates system performance should improve, but you may run into in-game graphic setting limitations, as based on the system requirements for WoW (https://us.support.blizzard.com/en/article/353553) this LOQ 15 fall short of what's recommended for optimal performance in-game.

Great laptop

So far no issues and runs as expected. She's into low level gaming and this laptop handles it with ease. Only negative is the 512gb of storage but ill upgrade that at a later time.

Even though it has a "gamer" configuration, it doesn't have lots of LEDs and colors, which I really appreciated. The performance is good, but honestly, I expected a bit more. My son has been trying to change the settings and update the drivers. I suggest doing the same.

One major issue is they sell it with a 170w charger that can't keep up with the battery when gaming. Lonovo will not give me a 230w replacement so i have to purchase one.

This model does feature a shutter switch on the right side of the laptop that cuts power to the camera as an alternative to the physical shutter slider.
