I already own a desktop but was missing the mobility of a laptop. I also own a tablet, but the tablet does not have the power of a laptop. I bought it refurbished because for my purposes I did not want to pay the price of a new one. So far the unit is doing all that I require of it, so I am happy with it.

This refurbished Thinkpad T440p is a great laptop!

I have never owned a refurbished laptop but I decided to go ahead and take a chance and order this refurbished Thinkpad T440p. All of my past experience with Thinkpad Laptops have been great. Both when they were manufactured by IBM years ago and since Lenovo bought their PC business. What a great decision it tuned out to be. This thing is awesome. It came well packaged and shrink wrapped in the box. When I opened it up I could not see any difference from a new one. This thing looks brand new. You can't tell the keys or trackpad have ever been used. It is fast and works as good as any PC I have ever owned. The description says that the resolution is 1366 x 768 so you can imagine my surprise and pleasure at discovering the screen resolution is actually 1920 x 1080. The battery lasts about 3 to 4 hours which is not as good as a new battery but not bad at all. The 14" screen is about as small as is acceptable for me. It's not as pleasant to look at as the 15" + screens but it is more portable. It is a good compromise between viewability and portability. I read some reviews on the internet where people complained about the fact that the T440 series does not have the three buttons with the Trackpad that most Thinkpads before and since the 440 Series have had, but I have had no issues with it whatsoever. I am very pleased with this purchase. I have a Lenovo Edge that I purchased new in 2015 that I really like but I think I like this Thinkpad T440p the best.
