Sturdy computer, completely SLOW!

Within the first week (and ONLY using it for school work), it was so slow that I took it back to BestBuy. They kept it overnight-I had Geek Squad-and checked everything. They even uninstalled and re-installed my Webroot, but that didn't help. I went to look at the display model, which worked just fine-really fast, no lag. But my laptop is STILL super slow! It takes many seconds to change a webpage or even to click on the 'internet' button and have a page pull up (+15 seconds). I will never buy a Lenovo again. So unhappy! And BestBuy said they can't do anything to make it faster! I only use this laptop for school-writing papers and taking proctored tests. Nothing has been downloaded-I only save my coursework. Absolutely frustrating!!! Also, when you rest your wrists on the laptop, there is a small lip that digs into your wrist. Makes typing very uncomfortable, especially with those long papers I need to write. On the plus side, laptop is quite sturdy. I enjoy that it's compact and easy to use.

Posted .Please keep in mind, this system is an entry level, light use system, with its AMD A6 processor. With regard to the issues you mention with your device, there may be driver updates for your specific system. Follow the link below to look for new driver updates for your specific system. Use the "Update Your System" feature to be sure you get all of the BIOS and drive updates for your specific device. As always, be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make any changes. You can do this by just typing "restore point" in the search window within Cortana and follow the link to create a restore point. Infuriatingly, insanity-inducingly SLOW!!!

This device has the latest WiFi capability, with 802.11AC connectivity. If your requirements fit this profile, this device is a good choice. Be sure any programs you install on this device are compatible with Windows 10 and this specific model's configuration.

Posted .Thank you for choosing the Lenovo ThinkPad E575 laptop. The normal battery life on this model is 5 to 6 hours, depending on the work that the system is performing. Be sure you have no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Additionally, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.
