After using a MacBook Air 11" for 4 years, I wasn't sure if I'd like going back to Windows. I've been pleasantly surprised and I really like this machine...and even more for the value/price. I bought this computer with the assumption that I would have to do a clean install to remove bloatware. I even had the Windows 10 install media ready to go! I did not have to use it. The out of box experience here was GREAT! I just wish it came with Windows 10 Pro so I could encrypt the hard drive. $100 upgrade from Microsoft to Windows 10 Pro is a very steep price. Now with "Ubuntu on Windows" (beta in Windows 10), the primary selling point for me using a Mac is moot. I love it more than the Mac terminal and this one even mimics my production environment more closely without having to virtualize. I was able to connect my PS4 controller using bluetooth. The range is around 6 ft. A ThinkPad I used to have from work could do 20 ft without a problem. This means I have to keep the laptop close by. That said Portal 2 runs great with the graphics card. I output to a TV + surround sound system. On my network with gigabit internet service using speedtest...on 5ghz wifi I get around 400 mbps...with a USB gigabit adapter I get around 700mbps. For reference, my other quad core computer maxes out at around 900mbps (using its own gigabit adapter). I did not try a onelink adapter, but maybe it would perform better than the USB adapter. Things I wish it had options for: ethernet, memory upgrades, windows 10 pro, 4k screen. If you're still reading, here's a tip: Coming from a Mac, the two finger scrolling here is subtly jumpy. It's perfect after I changed the default line scroll value to 1. Now very comparable to a Mac touchpad. Go to Settings > Devices > Mouse In the option: "Choose how many lines to scroll each time" The default is 3. After setting it to 1, the two finger scrolling is perfect If you are using Chrome, turn off smooth scrolling.

I really like this computer. It's fast; I can run multiple programs (VPN, youtube video, word, powerpoint, etc) at a time with no lag in performance. I love the solid state hard drive--the computer boots in 8-10 seconds. The touch screen gets dirty quickly but the computer screen is very bright so they aren't that noticeable. I have to clean the screen about once a week. Battery life is excellent. If I really want to conserve battery by not streaming video and turning brightness down, I can get 8-10 hours. With video streaming constantly and brightness down, I get 4-6 hours which is still really good. The only complaint I have is the hinge broke after two weeks. I went in to Best Buy and they had it replaced in week. Hopefully that doesn't happen again. Also the touch and fold-over tablet features are pretty cool.

First of all, you get a lot for the money with this system--specs wise--with the big plus being discrete graphics with 2GB RAM. That combined with an SSD and RAM that can be upgraded to 16GB (I have yet to upgrade), makes a decent gaming laptop (not great, but decent). For regular, home-office type usage, it's just plain fast and responsive. You never get bogged down with anything. The other standout is the keyboard--it's fantastic! The travel of the keys is just right, not too shallow, not too deep. The keys have a just enough resistance so that it encourages the taps to more intentional, but as soon as a key is pressed, the pressure gives so that it feels easy to press which encourages the completion of the tap. When the keys bottom out, they has a soft landing so that it does not feel like you are hitting a concrete slap. But they are also very responsive so it's easy to tap a key and have it register--you get fewer missed keystrokes because you didn't press the key enough. All of amounts to a typing experience that is very comfortable and, at the same time, precise. I don't care about the whole "yoga" functionality except that it means the screen can recline a lot. I've used laptops over the years that I wished the screen would a little further back. Some low points to keep in mind -The pointing stick tends to wander a bit. for example, if your using it to scroll and release to stop scrolling, it keeps scrolling in the opposite direction a little. -Screen does not get very bright. It's ok/good, but only ok/good. -No setting to turn on keyboard backlight automatically when turning on the system. You always have to manually turn it on. Wake up from sleep, manually turn it on. -Keyboard has a dedicated, prominantly placed PrintScreen button. This should absolutely be the right-click/menu button (like on so many laptops). This is one of those small but super annoying issues. Why on earth would Lenovo do this? -Battery life is not stellar. Maybe a solid 5 hours when using light applications and with integrated graphics. Good, but not great. -Kind of heavy. But this is the tradeoff for its solid build (without paying $500 more dollars)

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 2-14. With regard to the battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. lenovo

I got this laptop because my old one had just officially had its days. I've always stuck to HP but with the new laptops Lenovo seemed more durable. I choose the Think pad for its size and durability. So far I have no complaints. Cortona works great and the processor is pretty fast. As a travel laptop it does not weigh a lot either.

This computer has just about everything you want in a laptop. Fast, solid performance, an SSD, a long lasting (and fast charging) battery, a good trackpad and an awesome keyboard. The keyboard was a selling point for me. I'm rough with my equipment and having a keyboard that's designed to pass liquid through it and out the bottom of the laptop is amazing! When you flip the screen around, the keyboard recesses into the laptop to protect it. It has an Nvidia and Intel graphics chip. The GPU can power the laptop's screen and two external screens (via HDMI and Mini-Display Port) at the same time. The colors on the screen are great. The Screen is a 10 point touch screen AND it has a Wacom tablet built in! Now onto the negatives (don't worry, there are only a few). First, there is a gigabit NIC card and VGA output built into laptop, but you can't use them unless you buy a proprietary adapters that costs an additional $50. This seems a bit ridiculous and seems like something that should be included in a $1,000 computer designed for the the business minded. Second, I wish this machine had a second memory slot so I could upgrade the RAM (something I usually do with my laptops). Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend this laptop. I love it and hope Lenovo keeps up with this kind of quality.

I don't really have any complaints whatsoever. This laptop seems like an outlier at Best Buy because it is so high quality. The materials are excellent. Display is very good. Keyboard is, well, a Thinkpad keyboard! The active stylus is better than older, passive versions. It's much more accurate at the edges (if you've used an older X-series tablet, you'll know what I mean). Battery life is solid, probably 6-7 hours under regular use. Plenty of ports. Plenty of power. Dedicated graphics. Easily expandable. Absolutely fantastic laptop.

Pros: Very good screen and resolution, speakers are great and loud enough, battery lasts about 8 hours doing word processing and music playing in background, good build quality, amazing keyboard and trackpad, thinkpad pen is awesome! I take notes on this laptop everyday and write my homeworks on it too. Decent gaming performance as well. Great laptop for a college student! Cons: Its not really a con but it shipped with drivers that weren't working properly with windows 10 but installing new drivers from Lenovo fixed all issues.

There aren't a whole lot of options for someone who wants a "penenabled" laptop, which is why I was excited when I heard of this model. Your options are pretty much "get a big tablet with a keyboard", get a Surface Book, or this. Compared to the Surface Book, this doesn't have the higher res screen, battery life, or better aspect ratio- but it everything else is right up there with it, including- -Skylake processor -8gb ram(user upgradable to 16gb) -256gb SSD (you can put another one in with the m.2. drive) -Dedicated GPU The pen is a bit small, but otherwise I have no complaints about the drawing experience. It seems to be very accurate and the pressure sensitivity curve seems about right. A similar setup for a Surface Book would cost almost twice as much. This laptop may not be the best of it's kind, but it is the best of it's price range.

Me and my girlfriend were browsing laptops when my eyes aligned with a familiar sight. I've always known ThinkPad as a product that lasts and held to a high performance and production standard. I couldn't believe I was looking at the newest edition, it could even bend backwards to become a tablet! It didn't take long for me and the girlfriend to decide we would purchase it. We couldn't be happier with it all across the board! My girlfriend especially loves the pen because she has a huge passion for art. Through this laptop she has transitioned to making digital art for the first time and having a blast with it.

I bought this laptop for my boyfriend and so far he loves it. Personally, the only thing I don't like is the weight of it. It feels heavy but the sice is perfect. It's portable and not too bulky which is plus for any college student. I also like the fact that it feels durable and not just like a cheap plastic. Quality of the laptop is also a plus if you consider the price.

Long waiting for good laptop with touch screen, 2-in-1, pen, good graphics card, slim ultra book, is completed. Now I got Thinkpad Yoga 14. Which comes with wonderful features for the price I got. And I see no compromise with build quality as Thinkpad do always. As of now I dont face any issue. Everything working good.. I fell so comfortable and felt worthy for the money i spent. I got it as open box, but looks brand new.. This is awesome..

I've had this laptop for a month now and I'm quite happy with it. I got it on sale for $700 so my review is based on the value for money I got for the sales price. It is fast (6th gen i-5 and SSD), light (though not ultra-light) and has very good screen resolution and decent battery life. The viewing angle is a little too narrow for this price range. The tablet mode seems to be unstable and Microsoft Edge crashes occasionally, which is likely because of the OS. No other complaints so far. Pros: * Fast performance for video streaming, web browsing and basic productivity with multiple apps running simultaneously * SSD storage * Good screen resolution * Touch screen * Backlit keyboard * Flexible hinge: Tent/tablet mode * Decent battery life: 3-4 hours video streaming, 6-7 hours web browsing and basic productivity * It has a stylus, which I haven't used much yet but seems like a good bonus feature. Cons: * Unstable in tablet mode (apps crash) * Narrow viewing angle * Although lighter than other 14" laptops, still heavy for an ultrabook * Microsoft Edge crashes occasionally * The storage capacity (256GB) is not great but adequate for the price

I'll get right to the point. Pros: -For the price, you get ALOT -pen response isn't 100% perfect, but already beats the Surface Pro -Very well built. Classic ThinkPad structure -the flexibility of the screen (Yoga) can come in handy -battery is great as long as you're not gaming Cons: -touchpad is built great, but can be a little 'sticky' sometimes -screen colors aren't the best, can be considered by some to be a bit damp

A good laptop for the price, but a bit under powered for the full 5 starts. Pros: - Good specs for the price, better graphics card than most in the line, decent ram, etc. - Runs any app I've thrown at it so far, not always quickly, but works! (3ds Max, Zbrush, Photoshop, etc.) - Stylus is as good as the reviews say with some tweaking, disabling the touch screen, etc. Wish there was a bit more tweaking available, but after fine tuning and getting use to it, it's working. - SSD drive/Fast boot times! - Decent battery life for laptop and stylus. - very light and compact! (I'm replacing an old Alianware beast) Cons: - Biggest: Lenovo's web site and driver issues: - - the gyroscope drivers are not easy to find (or listed with the rest of the drivers). It took over a week and numerous Google searches to find a forum post someone else had linked to the drivers. - - Another driver issue: to turn off the touchscreen (so your fingers/palm won't move it while using the stylus) requires disabling it in Device Config - should be an option somewhere instead. - To much Lenovo bloat-ware, some can be uninstalled, some seem to closely be tied to the drivers and required for functionality. - Small hard drive. Having an SSD is great, but on the small side. - No CDRom drive. Not a big deal, but had to save ISOs and put them on a network share to pull down to install software. - Bootable USB works. - Gaming power is lacking: Trying to take games with me while traveling is disappointing, I was hoping the gForce card would do better, but I was able to run Dark Souls 3 at 720 on the setting above low so I had shadows and things, and it seemed playable, but this isn't a gaming rig like I'm use to in laptops.

I really love old Thinkpad's. I buy damaged ones and "refurbish" them for a hobby. After reading the specs on this one, I thought I was going to get the legendary Thinkpad. I didn't. First, I know that it is MIL-SPEC quality, but it feels cheap. Also, I know that it is a "business" laptop, but the design is so boring. Even business professionals want something nice to look at. The screen is dull and not so bright. There is some light bleed. It's a little heavy for it's intended uses such as tablet and tent mode. Finally, it has a dedicated GPU but it doesn't work properly. Mine kept on giving me the blue screen of death due to driver issues with Windows and the GPU. It happened twice- once in the middle of a big presentation, and another time while working on some important documents. Luckily, I was saving the documents to my OneDrive. I know that I could have fixed this issue on my own, but I was too busy to mess with it. You don't expect to have to troubleshoot a brand new laptop. Having said that, it was reasonably priced for a ThinkPad, has a legendary ThinkPad keyboard, an awesome digitizer, and a SSD. If it only had a little more flair, a better screen, and a working GPU... it would be awesome! I ended up returning this and purchasing an Acer R15 with an i7, an almost as good keyboard, a much better screen, and a working GPU for cheaper. Pros: Awesome keyboard, Digitizer, SSD, Dedicated GPU Cons: Feels cheap and boring, Dull screen, GPU issue

I had my eye on this computer for quite a while waiting for it to go down in price and finally I obtained a college student discount to bring it down and bought it immediately. The computer I got was awesome and i quite enjoyed it...until the screen wouldn't turn on about 5 days after buying it. I ended up returning it and now I have the same type which is working well such far thankfully. I really enjoy the design of this computer with the slim nature and the keyboard layout. The touch screen and the pen are something to get used to if you have never used one before. Speed is great. All my friends are jealous of the computer. This computer does all it says it does and then some. Only issues i've experienced is that when you're web surfing the computer fails or some file fails and you have to reload the web page and start over. It has happened more than a hand full of time but has not seemed to really effect the performance much. For the price I picked it up for it compares to 1200 dollar ones out there.
