First I got the laptop. I really like it due to the high resolution (+). Normal game is perfect. But later the mouse became to slow or freeze sometimes. i thought it is due to driver softwares. I upgraded all from Levono website. it consumed me a lot of time because automatic update failed to work on website. so I installed one by one. after done it, I couldn't believe that after browsing websites for a while, the screen typically froze. I check the task manager that none of heavy programs running. the screen is still slowing and sometimes stops working. with this specs I expected much more than my old one. the blue screen occurred? with 16gb ram, It should have be an efficient machine with the high spec. the fan keeps working to cool most of time despite the light use and I disable all start-up features. whenever the loud noise of fan occurs, the laptop is slowing down. during light use, the laptop typically slows down even if i plugged in to the wall. Otherwise, battery is really a disaster. normal browsing is about 2 hrs though watching video is long enough for 3- 5 hrs

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Lenovo Yoga 730-15. You can scan this device for any hardware or software issues and potential fixes needed, by using the Lenovo Utility software installed on the device. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. Additionally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. lenovo

I think for the price point the computer does not hold up its value. For normal use the computer will provide whatever you need but that can be said about models that are less than half its value. it heats up very fast and has awful battery (3 hours max, its basically a slightly mobile desktop because I just have it plugged in the whole time). However it is a very fast computer (had it for almost 2 years, i am noticing it freezes in google chrome which is odd, i have maintained it well, hopefully i can resolve this issue. all that is tolerable but the single most important issue i have witht he device that i think should discourage anyone trying to buy the device, is the WIFI problem. this computer will simply disconnect from the wifi, any wifi, all networks will vanish and not appear. try restarting the computer, whatever you want it will come back on its own in a few hours. it happens about once a month. I changed my router, my internet provider, everything i could think of, searched it up and brought it to geek squad they all say its an issue with the computer. this is unacceptable, without the internet this is a very expensive typewriter/paperweight.

Initially, I was drawn to this laptop for its high specs and low price, I got a sweet deal from Best Buy for it. Good processor, nice RAM and SSD, flipping the screen and getting a giant tablet, what's not to like, right? ... Battery, yes, battery is just not what it's advertised, I've tried lenovo's solution of looking into WIN 10 background apps battery consumption and did disabled quite a few, still, seems like this machine is overpowered for the battery that it has, it just drains very fast and, I fear that in a year or 2 I might need to live next to a power outlet. My second, and biggest concern is, the monitor ... yes, it looks sharp and everything, but the quality of it hasn't raised my hope ups, if I close the monitor to anything lower than a 45 degree angle, the hinges doesn't support it and it just closes down on it's own, I find this extremely annoying since, sometime people com talk to me and I partially close my monitor and/or I look close it for some meeting and it just closes down. Never had this issue with any other laptop. If you can live with this, then I would say it has nice specs, unfortunately, I'm past my return date with Best Buy so I'm stuck with this one for the time being.

We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your Lenovo Yoga 730-15. This model ships with a 3CELL 51.5WH, Lithium Polymer, with a battery life of up to 8 hours. This will vary, depending on the work the device is performing and the settings you have the 4K screen set at. If there are no background programs running and draining the battery, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life. Concerning closing the monitor beyond 45-degrees. It sounds like you have your Yoga 730-15 set to either turn off or go to sleep mode when the lid is closed. Here is a link to instructions for changing what your Windows 10 computer does when you close the lid:  https://www.itsupportguides.com/knowledge-base/windows-10/windows-10-how-to-set-what-happens-when-laptop-lid-closed/ Lenovo

I wanted to love it. Fast performance, beautiful 4K display and the great yoga design. However the negatives were just too great and I had to return it. The battery drained so fast I’d be under 20% in less than an hour. Also, manager interaction at Plano store during return was one of the oddest in my B.B. history.

If you're an average user doing mostly light tasks, look elsewhere. You can find better prices on high end build quality and a 4k screen. If you're a power user or want to do light gaming.. Just stay away. This laptop has a 15 watt tdp and it shares the power with the gpu. You cannot push either anywhere near their limits due to significant power constraints. It just doesn't do what it should based on the specifications you're buying for. 2 stars because it's got good build quality, and functions normally for everyday use, but more is expected out of these midrange specifications. I exchanged for an HP Envy with the Ryzen 5 paired with Vega 8 graphics and due to the 25 watt tdp.. It runs circles around this thing and I spent hundreds and hundreds less. I can run AAA titles at low setting and it breezes through all tasks I throw at it. Got it for 650. Lost the 4k but I upgraded ram to 16gb and storage to 512gb myself for less than 200. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Luckily I did before my exchange period ended.

    A bit disappointed

I bought the geek certified version and here is my review Pro: At first glance the laptop look quite nice with a metal chassis, decent key board, and at a bonus a fingerprint sensor Con: the Gtx 1050 in the laptop is almost useless. I know to the laptop was made to be a gaming laptop but I expected that it could do some casual gaming on it. But opposite to my expectations it can’t even do that. - Overwatch at 1980 x 1080 at medium setting 80 FPS. At first glance look ok... 30s later 30 FPS???? And sometime drop even lower. Once it even drop to 5 FPS ??? Kidding me !!! - Do know if it’s only happened to my laptop but its usually freezes for several seconds for god know why. - I don’t know what measurements Best Buy make to get the 8h battery life but my only last about 3,5h at 50% brightness and yes just steam a 720p YouTube video nothing else. Conclusion: I’m just disappointed seeing such a beautifully built laptop from Lenovo turn out to be such a disappointment.

    fatal flaws

I liked the power and screen. But it has two big issues. 1. The fan is constantly speeding up and slowing down, even under a light load. 2. The upper front edges are sharp and very uncomfortable. A little research once I got the machine home revealed that these are known issues for this model. My esteem for Lenovo plummeted with this machine. I've never posted a negative review before but thought that I would help somebody else avoid the annoyance that this lousy design caused.

The Lenovo Yoga 730-15 4K model, is a high performance system with its Quad-Core/Eight-Thread Intel Core i7-8550U processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid state hard drive. It will generate heat whenever it is turned on, even at idle, this is normal. The onboard fan will maintain the proper operating temperature for the device. You will hear the fan whenever it runs, this too is normal. Lenovo

Problem with Black Line Top of Screen

I own the 4K 15" Yoga 720. Great laptop initially. Developed a black horizontal line across the top. Based on feedback and owner comments in the Lenovo forum (https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-Yoga-Series-Notebooks/Yoga-720-Display-Issue/td-p/3711026) this issue was never recognized by Lenovo so it was not addressed. Be certain to review the forums for the Yoga 730 to ensure this issue did not carry over.
