Easy laptop to use

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Our second Lenovo-first one the screen shattered from the clips that allow for the the notebook conversion, apparently we weren’t the only ones that had this happen. The Yoga version seems nicer than the one we originally have-hopefully the clips are more dependable-only reason giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the software Lenovo auto loads on it that slows down the access of our WiFi (due to their security options) and pop ups-quite a few pop ups wanting our feedback. Going to be taking advantage of our all tech suppprt and look at getting that removed. The processor speed on this is lightening speed, but pay attention to the drop in memory that it’s hard drive can now accommodate as a result.

I use Autocad and and Microstation on it, which would barely run on my MacBook Pro even when it was brand new and were almost completely unusable on my three year old HP. This thing can restart or boot up in 20 seconds so I actually use my computer now instead of using my phone constantly.

The fingerprint reader died within 6 months. The audio (both mic and speakers) has completely died for no apparent reason while I've been on important Zoom calls (def not a Zoom issue), First time was within 6 months of purchase, Geek Squad agents speculated that the issue is due to do drivers being dropped with Microsoft updates, but I've never had this issue with previous Acer or Lenovo laptops. At 1.5 years it has now developed an annoying loud clacking and high pitched screech, Most likely the fan according to user comments online, but I'm not willing to put any more $$ into this model. Pros: Durably built. Excellent portability even with large display. Great colors and contrast. Backlit keyboard. Fast boot-up and task response time. 2 Standard USB ports, HDMI and 2 USB-c ports Cons: Audio - both mic and speakers quit during online meetings (reboot does not help, needed tech support to restore). Fingerprint sensor non-functional at 6 months. Touch pad is way too sensitive (kept inserting text in random spots). I had to go with external keyboard. Shorter battery life (4 hrs). Fan clacking and screeching at 1.5 years (average daily use in a clean environment) Cost ($1100) vs lifespan

I spilled a drink on the first one and the second one was stolen. I like the back-lighting on the keyboard as I work in bed sometimes with the room lights off. Big screen is great for streaming Netflix and Prime. I like that there are areas to rest my palms on either side of the mouse pad too. It fits in my shoulder-bag nicely and easy to take with me every day.

Was hard to get used to the keypad at first because my previous keypad was larger. The black keys on a black keyboard can be difficult so you need a well lit area. It needs a lit keyboard for dark areas. Other than that, the computer works really well. All software works well thus far. I only use this computer for home, school, and some other matters. It seems to have good graphics and video for those that need it. I am pretty happy with the more day to day needs. It is a 2 in 1. Can be used like a tablet.

Posted .The Lenovo Yoga 730-15 does ship with a backlit keyboard. Hold down the "Fn" key then tap the spacebar at the same time to turn keyboard backlighting on/off.

Touch screen, can use our mouse (since we're older and not so steady) and it's so fast! We're also happy with how light it is when going from room to room and the rugged hinges are very nice. The associate showed us about eight different laptops but this Lenovo seemed the best one for us and we really love it!

I love this computer, its fast boots right up and I can have numerous screen open and it runs quickly. Only 1 con was sometimes the fingerprint sign on does not work put you can resort to the pin and sign is which makes going around that very easy. I was going to do 4 stars because of that but I decided that was very small reason so I gave it 4 stars.

I am so glad I did too!!! I currently am enrolled in college and this laptop has went above and beyond my expectations!!! The key pad is very quiet when typing, the keys will light up if you press fn and the space key (it has 2 brightness settings). The SSD is definitely better than a HHD with the boot time being within 10 seconds for me. The screen has a crisp clear image when using to watch videos or playing games. The finger print scanner works like a charm. The laptop it’s self is very fast and with multiple opened applications still runs like a champ. All I have to say is wow for the price and the speed it is definitely the best bang for your buck!!! I would recommend this laptop to anyone and their momma lol!!! (NOTE: There are gonna be quite a few updates for it so as soon as you get this laptop, go ahead and update it ASAP.)

Updates to the Windows 10 operating system will occur automatically at the initial activation of Windows 10. You can keep all supporting BIOS files and drivers up to date by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If you have any questions about the operation of your Lenovo Yoga 730-15, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help.
