    Loving It So Far

I’ve only had it a couple of weeks but so far so good. Not a traditional, boring laptop. I love love love the fingerprint login! You can add as many as you like as well in the settings. It easily connects to my iPhone. I also love that it can flip into a tablet, although haven’t used it that way yet. I also love the backlighting. I told myself that my next laptop would have it, tired of wanting to write papers at night with just my tv on but can’t see the keyboard. It has a webcam cover but mine is not on their, don’t remember if it came with and fell off or piece is in packaging. It runs fast and set up was extremely easy. It stays charged for hours and I haven’t noticed it getting hot. I like the fact that it has a touchscreen, but can be annoying if you’re not used to it (me) and touch the laptop top to position it and it messes up your screen. I need to figure how to disable it when needed. The last thing I wish was different (but most laptops are like this now), was that there wasn’t a line separating right click and left click on the mouse pad on the laptop. I find this annoying because I think I’m doing the other because I can’t tell where it stops. I will get an actual mouse to use. The laptop itself runs fast. I haven’t played any full videos yet (just a little to test speakers, which are pretty loud in a quiet room), but I’m optimistic. The color is vivid to me, which I saw some negative reviews on. I did put a blue-light screen cover as well from Amazon. I don’t know how much color people were wanting/expecting but nothing out of the norm for me. Regular, bright color. Haven’t taken it outside yet. Can’t wait to try some of the other features like drawing on screen and video recording. I found a case on Amazon and keyboard cover that fits perfectly also. This laptop has everything that I was looking for and more!

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C740-15, model number 81TD0078US. The Lenovo Yoga C740-15 ships with a built in manual webcam Privacy Shutter. Here is a link to a quick YouTube Product Tour video that highlights the manual Privacy Shutter within the screen bezel, next to the webcam lens:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7gquhzeAhQ&t=10s. It is possible to turn off the touchscreen feature on your Yoga C740-15. Here is a link to instructions for doing this:  https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/enable-and-disable-your-touchscreen-in-windows-10-b774e29d-be94-990f-c20f-e02892e572fc. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad. Lenovo

Bought this in July 2021 and continuesly overheated. Went to GeekSquad wirhin 7 months and they checked vent and went back 3 weeks later still same issue and sent to manufacturer. They stated they had done their testing and it didn't overheat. Just for 8 weeks later dealing with the exact same issue. This time they claimed my total tech subscription lapsed, but they checked and stated it couldnt be fixed. 1.5 years of intermittent usage and basically a waste of $800.

This is my first Lenovo and so far, so good! It’s a very versatile laptop/tablet that can be used in a multitude of positions. The biometric fingerprint scanner reads very fast and the touch screen seems pretty responsive. Overall, I only needed this for a few business applications and they all run great. Being a gamer, it was hard for me not to get a gaming laptop, but for work and “light” play it’s an excellent product at a great price point.

I really enjoy this laptop. It has a very fast processer and you can open up many windows at a time. There are a few things that I don't like about it such as the speakers being on the bottom of the laptop which makes the volume very low. There are no slots for memory cards if you use them and there is no cd/dvd drive which I still like to use. Otherwise, it is a great laptop for the money.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C740-15 2 in 1 convertible Laptop. The stereo speakers on the bottom of the device will provide great audio no matter what position you have your Yoga C740-15 in - Laptop, Tablet or easel/tent mode for media consumption. Although there is no built in SD card slot or a CD/DVD drive within this ultra portable, 2 in 1 convertible configuration, you can use a USB-based SD card reader or a CD/DVD drive with this laptop. This laptop for the price has beyond exceeded my expectations, in fact, I would’ve expected this from a MacBook instead I’m more than satisfied with my purchase. I love that it can be used with a mouse or you can use it as a tablet with touchscreen capabilities, you can also fold the laptop itself in half and the keyboard tucks behind it and you use it as if it were a tablet. I bought another one of these for my daughter for online school because of how many features it had as well as its ease of use for any age.

so far so good. I traded in my surface pro 6 for this computer and so far I like the size, speed, and comfort. I am a little concerned about the battery life overall. Seems like as soon as I unplug it from being charged, after about an 1 hour, the battery seems to go from 100% to 80%. This could be me, but I don't think so. However, I like it so far

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C740 15 2 in 1 Laptop, model number 81TD0078US. This model number ships with a Integrated 60.3Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 15 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Here is a link to information about how to find out what programs are running in the background on your Windows 10 computer and how to manage them for better system performance: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-prevent-apps-running-background-windows-10. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. If the problem persists, we recommend you contact Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686. Lenovo

This is our first Lenovo, have always had HP products, however this is a good laptop for my husband, who we bought it for. He was hoping for a place to play discs. Also no place for a SD card, only a memory stick. We love everything else about it. Not sure how the different hard drive will work out as this is our first with an SSD.

My main peeve has nothing to do with the laptop, but customer service. I made the mistake of buying this online as an "Open-Box Excellent - Certified", which means it is supposed to be flawless. However, it came with a scratched screen, which, I decided to overlook. But, I still will never buy an open box online again; rather, I will only do so in the store.

I bought this on sale but even at the regular price it's an excellent laptop. It loads programs faster than my AMD 8 core desktop. I assume it's the IBM Optane memory? Despite what the "professionals" say the screen brightness is fine and it has a large viewing angle. Backlit keyboard is great. Nothing lacking for me, a great laptop. I started an IT Consulting company in 1986 so I guess I am one of those "professionals".

I initially ordered a computer from Lenovo but the wait tume was insane. Found a better deal and one in stock at BB. Fast shipped to home and found the computer to be very nice. Touch screen excellent as well as boot up speed. Only weakness might be the speaker location which is under the computer. Weird. Was a good deal.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga C740-15. This model ships with a 720p (HD) webcam with manual Privacy Shutter built in. Be sure the Privacy Shutter is completely open before trying to use the webcam or the webcam will not operate. There is a small slider, directly above the webcam lens. Move the tab to the right to open the Privacy Shutter. There is a red dot over the webcam lens that will disappear when the Privacy Shutter is fully open. This will indicate that the webcam is really to use. You can close the Privacy Shutter when you are done with the webcam for your security, by sliding the tab to the left to close the Privacy Shutter. The Red Dot will appear over the webcam lens when the Privacy Shutter is closed. I've had this laptop for about a month now and I love it. To begin start at the beginning, startup. I touch the power switch on the side (less than the easiest thing as it is somewhat recessed but not difficult at all) and 15 seconds later it's up and rolling. I only use the laptop to look at my email and play Settlers of Catan so I have no idea about speed or any thing else. In fact I got this touchscreen laptop to use on the road while waiting in the car for my wife. It replaces my iPad, which I love but at 62 I wanted a larger screen to ease my viewing. The iPad pro I considered is about 3 inches less screen so that did not improve my dilemma much. The 15.6 inch screen is HUGE especially when placed between the steering wheel and myself. When folded back it sets there nicely but for longer usage I put in on top of the mid seat storage area.

I bought this laptop in order to replace my aging Lenovo yoga that had a failing touchscreen and mouse. This machine is nice but I find it a bit heavy for its size. The only other complaint is lack of adjustment in the brightness of the screen between bright and dim. My aging eyes need a sweet spot that I can’t get to.
