I am still having troubles with the camera, microphone, and keyboard interfaces but unsure how to correct the issues. Physically rather hefty and overall a good computer.

You can manually adjust the fan-speed/cooling pre-set by pressing the Fn+Q buttons on your keyboard. You can switch between 3 modes, performance, auto, and quite mode.
