Sad, but overall the directing and acting were pretty good

This was an awesome movie from beginning to end. Well it wasn’t the same as seeing it live at the theater, it was certainly a close second! They really picked superb actors to portray their parts. I would recommend this to all my friends to go buy it

We have watched Les Miz on this Blu-Ray and the broadway filmed last show Blu-Ray as well and love this one. Great camera angles and an all star cast that most of them can act and sing.... except for maybe Russel Crowe... everyone else was spot on!

I have a collection of other Les Mis film sets and absolutely love the choice of cast, song interpretation and color choice in this movie. Some of our best actors in the era and so fitting to this modern interpretation!

Despite Russell Crowe's singing this is a great version. Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway knock it outta the park. The lighting is what makes this better than the stage play. The Blu Ray is even sharper.

We love this movie and loved being able to get a blu-ray version which included a digital copy! The story and music are awesome!! Note that you will be brought to tears from joy and sadness!

Les Miserables in 1080p + Digital Copy. I actually still prefer 1080p over 4K, so this was the right choice for me. It would get 5 Stars if Russell Crowe weren't singing in the movie.

I kept hearing how great this movie is, so I bought it on a whim. Loved it! Also great that I now have a digital copy of the movie too.

I barely got to see this movie, even though I'm not a huge musicals fan, this one really got me, really well told story.

If you are not a fan of musicals, this may not be a movie for you. Also, to truly enjoy the film, be patient till the end.

I loved this adaptation of this classic story. I can't compare it to the musical of the same name. I really don't care for musicals. A really good value for $5.99.

This is a classic. One of the best movies I've seen in decades. You sometimes forget its a musical you're watching.

The actors are well known and do good justice to theme of this movie. Good drama and great story.

It just fair justice to the book make sure you have lots of snacks when watching this and a tissue box

Well crafted and for the most part well acted and sung. Hugh Jackman is wonderful in the impossible role of Valejean. Anne Hathaway is heartbreaking as Fantine although I agree with some of the criticism that her fall into hell is much too quick and fails to really create any pathos. However, that is the failing of the filmmakers. Her performance is breathtaking and the pathos is in full flower in the magnificent "I Dreamed A Dream." Eddie Redmayne and Samantha Barks are both excellent. Sasha Baron Cohen failed to impress me in "Master of the House" although he won me over in his later scenes showing more menace. Helena Bonham Carter rehashed Mrs. Lovett, it seems to me, and didn't really seem to relish her role. And, alas, Russell Crowe is the sow's ear in the piece. Looking GREAT as Javert and certainly possessed of the menace and acting chops required for the role, he lost all believability the minute he opened voice. His singing, while on key, lacks any color or conviction. Pedestrian at best in a role that needed power and conviction. How sad. Still, Crowe aside, the decision to sing live paid off well in most cases bringing an immediacy and rawness that helped bring the viewer in. Overall, this is a stunning success, in my opinion. They made, if not a great film, a really really good one.

A five star movie that remarks the history of France in the 1800's. Highly recommended!

My daughter absolutely loves this movie. Added the digital copy to Itunes and she was very happy.
