Great cooling unit

Im buying the same one once more for the reason that need another one. The one i have started to make loud noise but it cools even dow its more than ten years old. LG 18,000 btu AC unit has been good to me.

Does not use standard outlet we will have to have a new plug placed not even sure if the unit works yet. Seems like it will be a pretty powerful unit.

Says it comes with “window install kit” It doesn’t

It only comes with the side peices to enclose around the widnow. It does not come with the weight bearing bracket that goes below the window. Friedrich air conditioners come wiith the bracket. So LG is cutting corners and really shafting buyers who now have to search for brackets. So now in 95 degree weather with elderly relative have to figure out what type of brakcet to get. I can tell by how they answer questions here that they don’t really care.

Not 115V

No specs showing it is a 230v unit. Requires a 20amp 220 volt outlet as well circuit. Not a huge project to convert. Basic electrical work. If the neutral not shared. Any unit over 12,000 btu should be on a dedicated cicuit to begin with.
