The sound bar sits on fireplace place mantel just below the TV so it can be connected directly to the back of TV & plugged into wall outlet. The accompanying bluetooth bass box can be moved around the room to any location I want although it also requires a wall outlet for power. The speaker set came with its own remote. In addition, the volume can be adjusted via TV & cable remotes (which Geeksquad set up for me, but that feature required to be set up & was not automatically set up.) The sound is great, but the only thing I wish would be for it to modulate the volume when a loud advertisement pops on! If I could have afforded it, I would have preferred a complete bluetooth version (reduce the number of cords to TV) and which ideally could be used with other sound appliances (like phone, echo, etc.)

Great sound quality and powerful subwoofer! My roommate is upset that this system is on par with his Bose! You wouldn’t expect this much power for the price.

We bought this LG 2.1 channel 300W soundbar it was reasonably priced. I was very surprised with the bass from the wireless subwoofer while enjoying a movie with a lot action scenes. The only draw back is that I wish it had a better display to show the sound levels. Other than that it's great. I Would recommend soundbar.

I bought a similar model for my living room last year. This one is a gift for someone who lives in a basement. It’s loud. Fairly clear. Easy to use for someone not tech savvy. Great for the price. Cons: no wall mounting brackets.

I have a 42” UHD on a mobile tv stand I move around the house for my Xbox One X. The mounting perfectly to my TV (with a additional mounting bracket) and the sub mounted on the stand base. It’s sounds great for the money. Really make my games come alive in theater mode. Very impressive sound for such a smaller unit!

For the price and sound you get out of this, you can’t beat it. We love it!! Had it for about 6 months now and it’s still superb.

I got a great deal on this through bestbuy ( about 50% off normal pricing ). Its easy to install and quick to get up and running through the optics port. I am very happy with this purchase along with it's 65" 4k LG smart tv counterpart. My son Jesse talked me into it for movies and he was right; i won't regret it!

Its easy to install in my tv although they are not same brand. & easy to connect to our ipad or any brand of smartphone. Nice surround sounds.

I did a bit of research before deciding on a soundbar and knew nothing about them prior to my purchase. Our television would have super quiet dialogue and then suddenly sound like it was full blast with any other noises without touching a single button! I read that there were 3 settings on this (voice, cinema, and bass blast) to help remedy the issues my television was having, and to seal the deal for me the unit was on an amazing sale! I could not be more impressed by the sound quality and output that this soundbar and sub provide!!! It sounds like we have surround sound somehow, which is unheard of from a single front speaker/sub combo! Our living room is not exactly small, so you really get a lot of bang for your buck out of this unit! Another thing that really added to the wow factor for me was the fact that an optical sound cord was included in the box! It seems that necessary cords are never free with products that require them anymore, so this was a definite plus!!! Set-up was a breeze and changing between devices (like hooking the soundbar up to my phone during afternoon study sessions and changing the unit output settings back to play television audio at night) is as easy as pushing a button on the remote! LG did a fabulous job with the execution of this product hands down!!!

This sound bar I bought 1 year ago But now it’s now not working

I had purchased the Bose soundbar and subwoofer and returned them after being severely disappointed. I still wanted something better than my TV speakers so I figured I just get something on a budget price since I wasn't looking for a total in home surround sound setup. I can't believe how good this little setup is. Honestly, I think it's just as good if not better than the Bose and the high end LG soundbar system I also returned. Configuring the speaker was very easy and for the price I am blown away with the sound quality. I even get compliments from people that have come over to watch a movie. I've heard of connection problems with the wireless subwoofer, but after a year of use I haven't experienced any issues. If you're like me and just want an upgrade from your TV's speakers then you will be happy with this soundbar and subwoofer.

This sound bar has amazing sound quality! I have it hooked up to my 65 LG 4K UHD Tv and the sound is phenomenal. It has a crisp and distinct sound with every show or movie you watch. You feel like you are immersed within the movie and are watching it in a theatre. I love the sleek look of it as well. It is not too bulky so it fits right in front of the tv on and entertainment stand or sits well alone. I would recommend this sound bar and not worry about upgrading to a bigger more expensive lg because they actually have just about the same sound quality. The only difference would be more speakers provided. If you are looking for just a sound bar and small speaker, this is the way to go. It does not disappoint!

Bought this as an open box item, and could not turn down the price. Son needed this for his dorm room and it fills the room well with good sound. However, this is a little weak for a large room. Set up was extremely easy both for cell phone and television.

An inexpensive product that really brings life to your movies! My TV always looked good with it's 4K and HDR, but the speakers on it sounded like tin cans. Picked up this LG soundbar and could not be happier. Rich sounds, deep bass, super simple to hook up. Just note that there is no HDMI for input so just make sure your TV has an optical out. (I knew this ahead of time)

I bought this sound bar to go with a recently purchased LG TV; and I specifically purchased an LG unit on the assumption it would work seamlessly with the LG TV. First of all, let's talk about the sound, I think the sound is quite good for a compact, 2.1 speaker system. As a former audiophile who spent much of my discretionary income on stereo equipment, I knew not to expect "home theater" sound from this unit; it actually surpassed my expectations in that regard. However, I gave it only three stars for the following reasons: 1. The only input (other than a USB port, which doesn't help me connect to the TV) is an optical port. I would have expected to see RCA jacks or an HDMI input. 2. The unit can be set up so that it automatically turns on with the TV (remember they are both the same brand in my case). This feature usually works, but every so often it doesn't do so, and I have to turn on the sound bar with its own remote. Turning the TV on and off doesn't reset it; I have to use the sound bar's remote. 3. The status indicator LEDs are so small and dim as to be practically invisible, especially in the daytime. 4. No included manual. You only get a "quick setup" sheet with the unit; you have to go online to get a user's manual. This seems to be a corporate decision by LG; I had the same situation with the TV. In summary, I would have given this unit at least four and maybe five stars based on the sound, if it weren't for the interface and use issues.

Overall, I have really enjoyed the sound quality especially considering the price. The only downside with my current TV is the built-in speakers - this has completely solved that problem. There are some drawbacks as I've noted below, which made me wish I could do 1/4 stars (3.75). However, as a complete package, setup was a breeze, price was awesome and sound is nice! Pros: - Sound and the bass is solid for tv, movie watching, and music streaming - Setup was a breeze. I even used the digital optical cable as I don't have an LG, nor bluetooth tv - Bluetooth streaming is convenient and just worked (my phone instantly detected the device) Cons: - As others have noted, lack of any kind of volume display panel leaves me wishing at times I would have gotten an upgraded version with LCD panel. You don't think much about it, but when streaming music or something, there's no volume level (even a old school volume scale of 1-10 would be better than nothing) - Volume up and down "steps" are pretty big. Goes from almost loud enough to too loud. No in between. Would be nice if it had more granular control over volume.
