Extremely disappointed with how incredibly loud this refrigerator is!! I had LG come out and look at it and they said that it was normal operating sound which I honestly find hard to believe. Had to return and went with Samsung instead.

We had a side by side refrigerator/freezer before and love this one. There is more space and being vertically challenged the freezer is easy to access. Ice compartment in the door and freezer drawer. Weve had it for 3ish years now and no issues.

Very pleased with this LG fridge. I upgraded to this from a Frigidaire largely due to recurring ice problems and limited ice space. This solved those problems since there are 2 ice dispensers. No more ice shortages! Also, I'm not sure if the filters were inadequate on the previous Fridge but the water dispensed from this LG is pristine. My steel tumblers used to get water stains that were surprisingly difficult to clean and I no longer see that happening.

So far, this seems like a great product! Everything works well and there's a vast improvement in accessing the interior (our previous refrigerator was a 'side by side' type). With the expansive view of the interior when both doors are open, I can see and easily reach everything that's inside.
The only regret I have is not having purchased a slightly larger size. Among other space limitations, the veggie/fruit bins of this one are too small for me. Maybe that would have been solved with the next larger model.
There was also no dimension in the detailed, online, specifications that related to how far the freezer drawer would project out, when in the open position. The refrigerator is located in a really limited area so, without that dimension, I was afraid that it would be difficult or impossible to open the freezer all the way. This turned out to not be a problem.
Finally, the service by the persons delivering and installing it was professional and expedient! I compliment Best Buy on that!
I would highly recommend this item.

Have a LG refrigerator that is 2 1/2 years old. Warranty for parts is ten years. It stopped working 9 days ago. Called LG and they referred me to A&E Factory Service. Called and made an appointment. Looked at Google reviews and 580 reviews and a 1.1 rating. Worst was do not let them in your house. They came out at 5:30 in a 1-5 window. Ordered three parts had to set another 4 hour window appointment. After 5 1/2 hours yesterday, he said it is working and left. Checked this morning and is still warm and now vibrates loudly. So now another five hours stuck at home tomorrow while they attempt to fix it. This company is who LG uses so when not if yours breaks but when this is who you will be dealing with. This will be a total of 15 hours waiting on them and over one hour on the phone with LG. This is an independent repair company who said almost all their calls are on LG refrigerators. LG has been a total waste of time dealing with. They truly could care less about me not having a refrigerator now for two weeks even if it is fixed tomorrow which they is ZERO chance of that happening. Talking to retailers because I am buying another refrigerator and certainly not LG salespeople confirm this is a common situation. Was referred to LG Executive Services who will not call be back. You have been warned. The repair company did state because of their known issues with repairs that I would get a one time free repair meaning would not have to pay for labor. If that is not a red flag.

Excellent product and installation team was great. My only constructive criticism would be that it would have been nice if we were told it takes up to a week for the freezer to settle down and not be loaded with frost. I almost returned the unit because of this. Glad I did not.

2 LG refrigerators broke within 4years

Apparently, there's a class-action lawsuit against LG due to many models of refrigerators they build being complete pieces of junk. Our experience with the first fridge started out fine, but after less than 2years, it got a leak and stopped cooling properly. They did replace the entire cooling system, but not long after that, the same thing happened. Simultaneously, the fridge started making a lot of noise, and only 4 years into owning this fridge we decided to replace it. I looked around and unfortunately, LG was the only fridge that would fit in our cabinet space without replacing the cabinets above it, which is the only reason I reluctantly chose to buy another LG fridge. 2 Months into owning my 2nd LG fridge, I started to hear this sound on a very irregular basis - https://soundcloud.com/afrank-386510962/lg-refrigerator-sound. The problem with irregular sounds is they're impossible to diagnose by a tech since the tech isn't there when the sound is being made - of course. To make matters worse, LG support said they will only help if the fridge stops cooling, but they can't do anything about the sound. So I just paid $3k for a fridge that is clearly not working properly and there's nothing I can do until it just completely breaks. Until then, LG's solution is to just let me enjoy these new sounds they've so generously helped me discover with the help of their very loud fridge. LG makes great TVs, I have one of those and would highly recommend it. However, it appears that just because they can make a great TV doesn't mean they can make a good fridge too. Do yourself a favor and shop for a different fridge manufacturer. My take away from this experience is a poor quality product and even worse is their poor customer support.

Stay away from LG. My fridge was unreliable and LG does not stand by their products. The compressor died just short of the warranty period. They replaced it but the brand new replacement compressor did not even last 10 months and they refused to back their part. That's 2 compressors in less than 6 years. The fridge is clearly built to be disposable.

Huh. I am not sure why this product is so highly reviewed -- perhaps they were written before the compressor is surely going to go out. In the four years that we have owned it, the icemaker has broken twice and the compressor has completely failed. The compressors in LG fridges are so bad there is a class-action suit against the company. Google for yourself. So just make sure if you're going to venture into LG fridge territory that you buy an extended warranty from Best Buy. If I had to do it again, I would 100 percent buy another brand.

Wish the drawers closed easier. Seems likebyou have to slam them to get them to close. The only other bad thing is the 1 min. Door chime that can't be turned off.

I bought an expensive LG refrigerator 4 years ago and it just stopped working. I was told it is going to be several days before we can have it repaired. I have a large family and small children that are having to go without a refrigerator for food now and I've thrown out over $200 in food. I've been very loyal to lG and all of my household appliances are LG, but I am very disappointed in this service. I feel like if it is going to take that long, they should just replace my refrigerator. I would love to continue to be a loyal LG customer, but I will keep this kind of service in mind when making future purchases.
