Only 16 months old and requires major repair. It will cost more to fix it than to buy new. LG customer service just gave me the run around. Would not recommend an LG dishwasher.

If you don't mind waiting 2 to 3 weeks to get a warranty part AND having to spend hours on the phone, the LG dishwasher is okay. However, If you expect better warranty service than this, you may want to try another brand.

Let me start by saying since July I have bought all LG appliances from Best Buy; washer, dryer, fridge, stove and dishwasher. I have not had any issue with any of the appliances except the dishwasher. After installing it I attempted to run a test load just to make sure everything worked. After about 1 min into the cycle I get the OE, FE error codes on the screen. OE equals drainage error and FE means too much water. I called LG and was put in touch with a technician in my area. The technician comes over that day, mind you this is the day I got them, and runs his tests, calls LG and then tells me the motherboard is bad and the drainage pump won't kick on. Apparently this is a known problem with this dishwasher and LG is aware of the problems with these units. New parts had to be ordered. So I took delivery of a lemon dishwasher. Not happy.

I bought this in February of 2013. It was a great price and had all the features I wanted. Unfortunately there are 2 circles (flaws) in the stainless steel finish on the front door (since Day 1). I contacted LG and they did not reply or offer to address this. It shows poor workmanship and a bad company that won't stand behind their product. As such, I do not recommend this or any other LG appliance. Hopefully by writing this review, Best Buy will offer to help fix it. I'm hoping the panel can just be replaced. I don't want to go through the hassle of uninstalling it or taking the door off. That wouldn't be worth the risk. Another reason to avoid this dishwasher is the finish inside is always distorted. I don't know if it's from the soap (I use Finish, same brand of the sample they included# or if it's just more, poor craftsmanship. It doesn't clean the dishes as well as my old Whirlpool one did. I never thought to contact Best Buy or write this review until today. I just had to buy a new Dryer #not LG) and thought I should write this to help others.

This dishwasher works great and is very quiet! It took a while to set the dividers so the dishes would load properly. But that may just be personal preference.

We bought this to replace an 14 year old dishwasher. From the second it was installed, it leaked. Had the Geek Squad out who ordered a part. Few days before they came out, it magically stopped leaking?? Problem is that dishes don't come out dry. Watched videos on the LG website. Rinse aid is a MUST for this unit. My cheap old one didn't need any!! Tablets get "stuck" in door and now I just have to toss one the bottom. The worst is the smell. I pretty much put clean dishes into the unit. Best Buy came out and there was no blockages. I finally ran some vinegar through the unit and kept it open all night. We will see....I believe it's going back. Best Buy was great!!! Dishwasher a big disappointment.

An absolute lemon, also LG washer broke after one year. The computer will not let it run.

I haven't tried everything yet and I haven't called yet, but so far this machine is HORRIBLE. It doesn't get the dishes clean. Let me rephrase that. It gets the food particles off the dishes but leaves a gritty, dirty-feeling film all over everthing. The glasses and the silverware come out looking gross. We've been blaming the hard water (never had the problem before# the detergent #went out and purchased a detergent that specifically says "automatic dishwasher detergent" and of course the water not being hot enough (not that anyone should have to run the hot water for 5 minutes before running the dishwasher). I've run the extra rinse cycle ... that didn't work. Next I will try the Power Wash mode. Of course if I'm reduced to only one cycle that I can use, what is the point of all the bells and whistles. I will call LG tomorrow and see what else i can do, but basically I'm about ready to toss this thing out the door and find something else.

I installed it and on the test run it gave an error code that means it has too much water. A technician and to be called and didn't show up until 6 days later to tell me new parts had to be ordered and would take 10 business days to receive. I bought the dishwasher on March 9th and today is April 13th and I am still waiting to have the dishwasher repaired.

Purchased one for previous home, drive failed within a year. Replaced drive under warranty. Have since moved from that home and (stupidly) purchased this same model. Just over a year later, having same issue. Going in trash. Never buying LG dishwasher again. Also, doesn't clean worth c**p, rack layout is a joke. Do NOT recommend.
