Q: Why aren't my dishes dry like other dishwashers? I'm so disappointed. After two hours I still have to hand dry them.

A: The Front Control Dishwasher with Flexible EasyRack™ Plus System, Model # LDS5540ST uses a Hybrid Drying System which effectively dries dishes without the use of a heating element that would increase energy consumption. The Hybrid Drying System relies on the heat that is retained by the dishes and the tub during the wash and rinse cycles to turn the moisture in the tub into humidity. Warm, moist air in the dishwasher is then pulled into a condensing duct in the door by a fan. The air then cools, which causes the humidity to condense. Room temperature air is also drawn into the duct to help the air cool down faster. When this moisture condenses into a liquid, it is drained out. Rinse aid is required to enhance the drying performance. If no rinse aid is used, water may remain on the dishes and the tub. Your inlet water temperature should be a minimum of 120°F (49°C) so you may need to check that your water heater is set appropriately...^IFV

Q: How long is the quick wash cycle?

A: The Quick Cycle takes about 84 minutes. I'll attache a chart from the manual for you, page 9 (see below). Thank you. We appreciate your feedback, please give us a “thumbs up” if this answer is helpful to you; and please let us know if we can assist you with anything else. Have a lovely weekend!

Q: No difference in height of tines in the front and back

A: You might try using pieces of the 1/4" tubing made for air lines on fish tanks (clear) or the black tubing made for drip irrigation. Heat the end in hot water if it's hard to push onto the end of the tines. Then to stiffen it (so it doesn't bend over from the hot water when running) insert pieces of bamboo skewers or coat hanger wire cut to size, and seal the ends with silicone.

Q: were can i get the operating instructions

A: http://www.lg.com/us/support-product/lg-LDS5540ST

Q: is the front of the unit actual stainless or stainless look. I want to know if fingerprints and watermarks will show?

A: Yes, it's stainless and yes, it shows fingerprints and watermarks. You do have to wipe it down to keep it looking nice.

Q: What temperature does the NSF cycle get to?

A: If you're asking about the sanitary rinse, the ma i am says 161° F

Q: It appears in the picture, that there are no tines on the top rack. Is this correct?

A: Tines are there...you can fold them down when you don't need them.

Q: is installation of dishwasher included in price?

A: No it is not included but for me it was worth the money
