Was looking for a new dishwasher after our long time noisey Maytag started to fail on us. Knew the Bosch were highly rated by CR and started there, but saw the equal reviews on BB for this LG unit. It was on sale for a great price so ordered it. Delivered fine and I spent the rest of the day installing, etc. Well, turned it on and had a droning buzz sound from the direct drive motor...so much for the "silent" 47dB rating! Also I had a small leak from the door corner!! Called tech support and we agreed to have it replaced. Well, that was another nightmare with Best Buy - they were our of stock. Then the delivery date came and went with no call from Best Buy that the unit still wasn't in place. Great manager I talked with, but then the rescheduling of the reorder she put in didn't go through (after two confirmation phone calls) and had to tell the installer to not come out in the next hour!?! FINALLY, the day came as scheduled and they picked up the old unit and installed the replacement. Some good news is the new one didn't leak and maybe the noise is very slightly less, but I still can easily hear the motor running in the living room. Also, just putting it in Normal mode is over 3 hours?! And it barely drys the dishes (note you MUST use a jet dry rinse agent ). Tried the extra drying setting and that added over another hour and it was hard to tell the drying difference. All in all, it is quieter than my old dishwasher, and this one does clean better (but it has to!). But the performance is below my expectations based on all the other reviews.

Quiet dishwasher, can barely hear it running. Dishes are clean and dry when cycle is finished. Wish bottom drawer was a little more secure and smooth

Beautiful site lines . This dishwasher is so quite you will have to look at the display on the unit to actually know for sure that it is running!

I really like my new dishwasher. It's so quiet you can't even hear it when it's running. Though the bottom basket is not on slider tracks. You have to pull it out just right otherwise it slips into the center and is in issue if the bottom rack is full of dishes. So I guess I need to get used to it.

Never owned an L G appliance before. Looking forward to not having to wash everything by hand.

This is a great dishwasher. The last one we had didn't wash very well, was a lot louder, and we had to prewash everything. I can put the dirty dishes in the washer if they are washed within 24 hours and they come out clean.

Space is good, functions are great (both the cycles and the ability to lay down some of the racks). It does smell 99% of the time though and the cycles take forever. Even the short cycle is an hour and a half long. Doesn't dry well, even with extra dry function selected.

I didn't have really high expectations as I have never owned an LG product. The glasses come out very clean as does the silverware. Pre-rinsing of food before putting in dw is a must, and if you do then the plates and bowls will come out very clean. Also I use the rinse aid and maybe that is why the glasses are so sparkling. I tend to over-fill the dw but the load is cleaner if I don't. I've only had it a few weeks but all in all I am pleased with the purchase especially as the delivery, set up and haulaway was only $10 with Best Buy.

Everything they said it would do and maybe better than I expected. Also the salesman helped me out. I had chose 2 different models (cheaper ones) but they could not get them. In Black. So he was able to help me out with the price on this one.

I've only used it once and so far do good. It's really quiet.

Nice looking and works well. It is very quiet and I would recommend.

The stainless steel tube is without a dought the best.

Was given as a gift for an upgrade to my moms kitchen.

It gets the dishes clean on the basic cycle and that's what it's supposed to do. It looks good with the Samsung range and refrigerator we bought - we were worried that the stainless finishes might be noticeably different. It was easy to install.

Dishwasher runs so quietly, don't even know its on!

So quiet, I need to put my east up to the door to check if it's truly running. Lots of room inside. Haven't had it long enough to put a heavy load inside but I have no doubt it will be great.

My bad ! ! I should have done a little more reseach on this one and not went with the sales pitch so much. I am only so-so pleased with this buy. Tough install and the instructions are pretty non existent as to how to. Average at best, if I had to do over I would have done more research on other models
