I bought this refrigerator online for thanksgiving via Trinidad & Tobago. I did a lot of research on many brands and specification on refrigerators. At the end this LG LMXS27626S 4-door French door refrigerator was most suitable for my needs. The transaction process was easy, Best Buy maintained the said delivery appointment to my shipping agent. I made sure to settle the refrigerator as required and read my instructions manual carefully. The actual setting up of the water line was much easier than I thought, thanks to my hubby. We installed an external filter, so the water will be filter before in even enter the refrigerator in-spite of having and internal filter as it would ensure a longer life on the filter. We used a stainless steel bead cord, which is better than the copper coil and also installed a lock off valve in case of any future leak. Its been 4-5 days now , our refrigerator is full functional, it is super silent, very spacious. Oh did I mention the the slim fit design on the inside of the door is a plus.....more storage space on the upper shelf. Great design for LG

I bought it. Filter started leaking on day 2. Tech showed up a week later. Ordered part. Came back 2 weeks later and changed filter. 2 days later filter leaking worse than ever. I returned it and bought a Samsung. I've had no problems since. But the Samsung because LG is garbage.

Great service and delievery from Best Buy. Unfortunately our unit showed water condensation around the ice maker dispenser since day one. After 5 days we went to the store and they offered to have it replaced or refunded at no cost. We compared it again with all other refridgerators up to $1,000 more and still prefered this model due to the nicest finish and space. We called LG and they sent a very competent technician in 3 days - he replaced the ice marker dispenser chute and problem solved. It has been 2 months and we are still very happy.

    very small ice maker

Overall I am very satisfied with this refrigerator. I bought it back in September 2015 and it served us well so far. Two things to point out though: The stainless steel isn't so stainless - you will find fingerprints and other stuff (water stains, etc.) all over this thing and cleaning the large surface is quite a task (turns out vinegar is the kicker when it comes to cleaning the surface). The other thing is the ice maker. We are a small household with just 2 adults but we can run out of ice quickly because the indoor ice maker only has a very small container to store ice cubes. Speaking about the ice maker: the ice cubes often clump together and get stuck, not falling all the way to the bottom reaching the mechanism to release them. This is also due to the small size. The ice maker itself had to be replaced this month (after about 18 months). Apparently a common issue so I strongly recommend a 5 year service plan (the service guy who was out here told me we will meet again for sure before my contract expires).

Very quiet operation. large capacity for the size (thanks for smaller ice machine) delivery guy had to take the refrig door off to get in through our entry door which is standard (36"). god little scratch when they struggle to get in.. but the refrig itself is really good!

Definitely an upgrade from my last one; and the fact that it's an LG made it all the more easier to purchase. I especially like that the freezer has 2 drawers, so you don't wast energy opening one to access the top shelf freezer (as is common in most refrigerators of this style. Water comes out a little strong; if you start filling a glass and then stop and start again, you get a bit of a splash. But nothing to make me want to downgrade it. Very happy with the efficiency, the space and just the overall look of it :)

Please read my review of Samsung RF263BEAESR which was a Bad Compressor and we got this LG for the exchange of it. We are very happy with our choice of LG. This refrigerator is roomy and cools down very fast.

    Great Refrigerator

This refrigerator is perfect. Great size, cools perfectly, and fast. Ice maker in door is wonderful and we always have ice for a family of two. If needed, it also comes with an ice bin to leave in freezer. Looks great inside and out. Water tastes great from dispenser. Double freezer is also a good feature, providing access to things you use more frequently, and keeping things you don't need unimpacted by frequent door(drawer) opening. The only downside is not smudge proof, but LG and BB don't state that it is, so I wasn't buying for that anyway.

    Warning

Our unit is just over 2 years old and stopped cooling on two occasions. They do not perform any significant diagnostics, LG recommends replacing the compressor (10 year warranty), then the condenser (7 year warranty). Now we are up to replacing the evaporator (7 yr warranty). The warranty requires the customer to pay labor after 1 year. The problem becomes frustrating because LG cannot keep up with demand for parts. Therefore after approx. 2 years of use we have been without an appliance for about 8 of the past 15 weeks and counting. I contacted LG via email & they responded indicating the appliance is "way out of warranty". A follow up email yielded a cut and paste similar inaccurate response. I would go a different direction if I could go back to 2 years ago. Good luck.

    Worst Company Ever

LG will try to sell you on the looks and often the price. Rest assured, LG refrigerators are cheap. The compressor will break down within a few years. Please read the reviews of customers who have had an LG refrigerator for years, not just bought it recently. Please read the professional reviews of least reliable brands. Moreover, the customer service is horrible, and good luck with the repairs once your warranty ends. There are a lot of technicians who won't touch an LG because the parts are worthless and are hard to get. Wonder why they offer a 10 year compressor warranty? You'll find out when its year 2 or 3 and they replace your compressor, but charge you 300-400 dollars for the service. And then, in another year or less, it breaks down again. Do yourself a favor, and steer clear of this refrigerator brand. Please, heed the advice of those who have a had an LG refrigerator for a couple of years or more.

    Spacious Refrigerator

    Posted .

What differentiates this Frig from any other french door, bottom freezer style: - Small profile ice maker that is inside the left door. Most ice makers take up a fairly significant portion of the refrigerator; this LG ice maker unit is embedded within the door. You gain a ton of frig space. You do surrender a bit of ice storage capacity, so if you have a larger family that is big on using ice - it's something to be mindful of. - Separate drawers for freezer. You do give up a small amount of space to have these drawers separate, but an issue I'd found with the "one big (external) drawer with a drawer inside" was I'd constantly place items in the lower section of the freezer only to have the upper drawer jam up on it when trying to close the whole thing. It was frustrating having to reorganize the bottom section constantly trying to make sure the whole drawer could close. At least now you know, if it fits in the drawer, it will close. Nit-picking: - The water flow in the door dispenser is pretty poor. It takes a good ten+ seconds to fill up a 16 ounce glass. It's noticeably slower than prior refrigerator with same water hook-up (i.e., not a water source issue). - Not smudge proof. A lot of newer stainless steel refrigerators are smudge-resistant. This one: not so much. Overall: great frig. The small profile ice maker alone makes this one stand out amongst its peers. It's (relatively) cheap against comparable refrigerators. Two weeks into ownership, we're very happy with the purchase.

It was great while it worked. The compressor went out after 6 years and it was not cosr effective to fix it. For $2200 a fridge should last longer than 6 years.

Picked this fridge up over Black Friday weekend. Everybody else was two months out and Best Buy got to me in 5 days! Love the fridge, runs pretty quiet and the space works out much better than our old side-by-side.

    Bad LG Refrigerator

We have been using this refrigerator for 5 years, but the compressor was broken last week, Oh man, it was used for only 5 years. Even I buy cheap refrigerator, it lasts at least more than ten years. I called LG customer service, then they sent a technician to replace a new compressor for my LG refrigerator last Thursday, but they charged me $550 for labor fee. I almost can use it to buy a new refrigerator (different brand). The LG refrigerator cost me almost $2000, but it lasted only five years. Yes, that is trash and it is really suck. I would not buy LG products anymore and absolutely would not recommend it or other LG products to my family, Friedens, or relatives.

This is a beautiful refrigerator, BUT, the ice maker has never worked since appliance was delivered. We have had the Geek squad and LG tech out, and they apparently don't know how to diagnose or fix it, other than to replace ice maker--which did not solve the problem. If you have any LG problems, have item replaced immediately since tech people are apparently not able to repair anything. Any LG service people you talk to by phone are out of U.S. and difficult to talk to.

I like the layout of this refrigerator and it’s two drawer freezer. Unfortunately, 6 1/2 years later it has died on me. The Kenmore refrigerator it replaced lasted 20 years and was still working when I updated my kitchen. Seems to be the way of appliances these days.
