Like the size of the refrigerator and the appearance

This refrigerator quit working approx two years from the purchase date. There is a class-action lawsuit against LG for the linear compressors as they are dysfunctional.

This is the first French door for me . Takes some getting used to. Not enough space in the door for jars/condiments. Looks nice. Not happy with the way the water dispenser is designed.

4 years later fridge is dead. Do not buy this brand of refrigerator .

This fridge was a replacement for our old side-by-size model and we decided that french door style will give us more room and functionality. I did a good amount of research prior to buying this unit but still didn't avoid the loophole of exchange. Pros: large capacity and good looking fridge. Very quiet. Led lighting is very modern and illuminates inside well. Because ice maker is in the door and water filter lays horizontally along the ceiling it has a lot of functional room. Shelves are sturdy and adjustable.......sounds good, right? ........but.......... Cons: 1. doors are not evenly hinged (probably just faulty model in our case), but it arrived with right door being about 1/4 inch higher than left one. Cosmetically noticeable, but only if you bring attention to it. Then the way doors close is bothersome: right one needs to be pushed to achieve a seal, if not, it will be crack open and fridge starts alarming. The left one is heavier due to ice maker is in the door, so it slums hard. 2. Ice maker is of very small capacity, which is expected for door type ice maker. There is a storage bin for ice in freezer, so I guess it's OK. 3. Glide-and-serve drawer on the bottom of fridge is wide and in order to access it you need to open both doors. This is super inconvenient! Imagine you come with your hands full and need to set stuff aside and open both doors, then slide out the drawer.....This will take time to adjust to. 4. Shelving in doors are very minimal: the left door shelves are very shallow and height limited due to ice maker in that door. The right door main door shelves are not adjustable height. The only practical one is gallon size middle shelf. The two others are either too shallow or height limited so you cannot put there anything but small cans of beer. Not even dressings cause bottles are too high for these shelves. 5. Not a smudge proof. Stainless steel is shiny and beautiful, but second day of use and you need to clean the surface several times a day for it to look nice. Not practical with kids at all. 6. water and ice dispencer is not very convenient also: water spatters and ice doesn't always make it to the container regardless how tight you put it against the opening, thus creating water spots on surface even more. Overall, I was hoping I can adjust to all these issues and it will just take time, but trully for the price you pay you should be happy from the start.

Needs a little more storage on door because of ice maker

I have had this for 5 months. The ice maker freezes up and I have to continuously take everything apart and get the frozen ice out. Bummed about this purchase.

Bought this LG refrigerator on sale after researching multiple brands to replace our 24 year old Whirlpool refrigerator. Made the right choice so far. The convenience of the French door style is excellent. Can open either door to get at food, no need to open main door first then other. Space is abundant with the Ice Maker in the door and the half self, key reasons for choosing this unit, along with all of the positive reviews. We went from a 25 cu ft Side by Side that was always stuffed to this unit which now seems empty by comparison. I just hope this unit lasts nearly as long as the Whirlpool. The sounds this unit, and likely most new units make take getting used to since they do not sound like old refrigerators. But that's only an initial issue. Our experience with Best Buy customer service has been great. Very helpful and positive in scheduling and taking care of one small issue we had quickly and efficiently. Definitely better than your big box stores.

I*m very sad I purchased the refrigerator the firstt week of august delivery was the next week ice maker never worked getting it repaired on sept 12th 2016 LG looks good but that's all

This fridge was a huge waste of time. The icemaker didn't make ice and the freezer never got below 14 degrees.

I have had this refrigerator for just over 2 months, I LOVE it! I have a family of 5 that includes 2 teenage boys and I run an in-home daycare, so I needed to have a fridge that was large, convenient, had ice and water and looked nice. This is meeting my expectations and more. I got a g-r-e-a-t deal on it too during Best Buy's July 4th sale, haven't seen it for cheaper since. The freezer is huge, I have plenty of room for everything I need plus room for big tubs of ice cream:) We use a ton of ice, and we have never run out. I can have plenty gallons of milk in the door without wasting shelf space, I love the slide back shelf that lets me have 2 liters of pop, bottles of wine and other tall items in the fridge without having to lay them down. The veggie & fruit drawers are a great size and I love the meat & cheese drawer. The light is bright, I can fill my Keurig water container in 20 seconds and fit other tall pitchers to be filled. Basically, the best purchase I think I could have made!

Our cabinet opening is somewhat limited, so while I was interested in a Samsung or LG due to their ratings, we went with the LG (note: I noticed some dimensions on the BB website are incorrect. I recommend verifying the specifications on the manufacturer's website). This refrigerator is gorgeous. It holds a ton (I have two teenage boys... thank GOD it holds a ton). It's quiet, and we love the water and ice dispenser on the door. I also like that we can get to the ice compartment on the door and empty it if we want to stock up on ice for a gathering. The freezer has an amazing amount of storage. We couldn't be happier with our purchase! Helpful advice: You have to open the right door before you can open the left. Store frequently used items on the right side of the refrigerator.

This fridge is awesome! It has so much storage space and I love the french door style. I like that the ice maker is through the door, but doesn't; take up a ton of fridge space, and you have the option to make more ice in the freezer if you need it for a party. So quite and best buys people were awesome on the install.

This was a replacement for an 18 Cu. Ft. 12 year old fridge that was still running (slowly) so I apologize of my review is too positive. I researched new refrigerator's in the same range and found this LG as the best option considering it's interior design and sleek exterior design as well as the fitment in the space for our kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised by the lighting and compartment access for both the fridge and freezer shelves. One thing to note is that we decided to remove the top left panel for fitting milk and larger containers because the right panel only has a small section that you can push in for larger items. Because of the lower compartments and lower shelving, we fit everything in the fridge with ease and have plenty of room. As far as water and ice function, it works very well. Water stays cold and the ice maker is consistent. I noticed some reviews stating the ice gets stuck at times but I noticed it only happens when you allow the ice to fill up completely and not use it for a while. The fact that there is a single lever to access the ice storage makes it almost a non factor to have to break the top of the ice. And it's only happened once since we've had it. The led lighting is great and really allows you to see what you have in there, and also makes leaks and stains more visible so you can clean up faster. I love the led display and the control functions are very simple. I'd forgotten how much of a difference a well running fridge makes with beer and other items. I am extremely happy so far and will update accordingly after some time with the fridge.

We have always bought LG. But this one was not up to there normal standers

Purchased this model brand new on 3/28/2015. On 4/17/2015 The water dispenser on the door broke causing water to flood below the full length crisper drawer. Each time the water dispenser is used a lot of water leaks from the inside of the door into the bottom of refrigerator section. If this didn't happen, I would have given this 5 stars across the board. Door-in-door is handy and there's lots of space. Ice-maker works great after throwing out the first weeks ice that tastes plastic/chemical tainted. Lots of space, bright lighting, and excellent temperature maintenance in fridge and freezer. Very quiet operation. Will be refunding this model and will be buying model LFCS31626S with no door water/ice dispenser.

I've had this refrigerator for 7 months now. I got it at BB for $1899 which, IMO, is a great price. It has a lot of storage space and looks great in my kitchen. Occasionally the ice maker will get clogged and not dispense ice. This typically happens if you do not use it for a few day but it is a very simple fix and does not bother me at all. My only issue with this unit is that when I bought it the compressor was noisy. It would rattle for a few hours a day, sometimes so loud that i had to turn the TV up. I called the LG repair man and he came out to look at it but of course when he came it was not making the noise so there was nothing he could do. To fix the rattle, I pushed a rubber doorstop under the compressor and left it there. It has not made a sound since. I do not believe this is common for this model since no one else has complained so it should not concern a potential buyer. That being said, I would definitely buy this Refrigerator again given the choice. FYI, knockoff filters are much cheaper and are the same quality as those made by LG.

We have had this refrigerator from LG for a little over a year. One day out of the blue it completely stopped working and we lost all of our food and breast milk for our infant son. We contacted LG about the refrigerator because of the 10 year warranty of the linear compressor that is posted directly on the front of the fridge. LG sent a repairman out costing us $159.00 only to tell us that the Linear compressor had shorted our causing a whole mess of problems in the refrigerator and that the entire unit needed to be replaced. Weeks passed and LG customer service would not honor the replacement. Email after email after email later to their customer service they decided that they needed to send out a 2nd repairman to assess the fridge (this time free of charge). The 2nd repairman that LG sent out said the exact same thing that the first repairman had said. After the repairman sent the info to LG and we followed up they have still ignored both of us for the past 5 days so far. No contact at all. It has now been over a month and we have not had a working fridge. Dealing with LG customer service over the past month in this matter has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a company. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand for your refrigerator needs. Product and LG customer service have been an awful and expensive experience. Best Buy did no wrong here but we initially bought it from Best Buy so we felt the need to warn others of LG's issues.

The first refrigerator they delivered was defective, so i tried the get it fixed from LG but that was the wrong decision.i had the most horrible customer service experience from them. they came 3 times and replaced different part and still won't be fixed. finally i called best buy to get it replaced which they did and the new one is perfect. beware if you have to deal with LG customer service.
