Works great. Only problem was getting it installed properly. The first install team missed the kinked plastic hose on the back of the unit which prevented water from flowing as it should. The second install team helped me find the kinked hose and repair it. Now water and ice flow like they should.

I love how I have the option to have crushed or regular ice cubes. The refrigerator is very spacious. I like the option to have a ice tray in the freezer. If you want the automatic ice maker in the freezer, you will need to purchase the refrigerator with this option.

Thus far I'm very pleased with this refrigerator. It has an abundance of space to hold the basics as well as all the extra food for the July 4th party. My side by side could never! I have to get used to closing the doors properly because it needs more than a soft touch to close. Good thing for the door alarm to remind you. As for noise I barely hear it running. On occasion I will jewr it rev up and then ice comes down but nothing too crazy. Overall, I'm pleased with refrigerator and I couldn't beat the price.

The water line for the icemaker is pretty bad. It kinks and we’ve replaced it and the new one does the same thing.
It also doesn’t provide hardly any ice. Yes, there is a space in the freezer to place extra ice, but it can’t keep up with demand.

I'm so in love with my new fridge. I really did not want to get a french door fridge but I am amazed with how much room it has. The bottom freezer has more room than I thought. I probably can get rid of our box freezer.
The only downside is that the ice maker container is too small and we need to remember to empty it into the bin provided.

Loved how easy it was to purchase our new refrigerator on the website. A delivery was scheduled so fast and everything was very professionall. So far, the refrigerator has been pretty good. I would have given it 5 stars but I have noticed one of the doors will stay open if not "pushed" hard to close
We have also noticed some frosting in the freezer. We will attempt to adjust the doors to see if this helps.

Purchased this over one month ago. I love all the extra space I have . I previously had a side by side and space was limited. Getting accustomed to freezer on bottom but i do have a lot of space.

The problems with the refrigerator started from the very beginning. The Best Buy delivery guys were the best. Professional, knowledgeable and the installation process was a breeze. When I purchased the refrigerator I was told it has a dual ice maker. It isn't, but that was the least of the problems. 2 hours after the installation, the freezer is at 0 but the refrigerator is not getting cold. I hear the compressor running, it's blowing cool air, not cold. I wait 2 more hours and it is still not cold, so I call LG customer service and end up somewhere in Asia. I can barely understand the representative and she appears to have a hard time understanding me. She says it takes 24-48 hours for the ice maker to start making ice. I knew that from reading the owner's manual and again I tell her I'm calling about the refrigerator not getting cold. She says it can take 24-48 hours for it to reach proper temperature. She suggests I take all the food out and wait 48 hours What?? Never heard of such a thing. This particular model does not tell you what the inside temperature is so I purchase a thermometer and now 8 hours after the install it is at 50 degrees.
The next morning I get up and there is a fault code. IF E and the refrigerator is at 30 degrees even though I have it set at 37. The compressor is constantly running I call customer service. Same communication problem. It is Tuesday and we are leaving to go on vacation on Thursday. The representative says they will send a repairman on Friday. I explain to her that I am leaving on Thursday and I need a repairman on Wednesday. She says it's impossible. I ask to speak to a supervisor. She puts me on hold and after 10 minutes she said someone will call me back within 24 hours. No one ever called. The next day the fault code is gone and it's making ice. We go on vacation
On Friday a big box from LG is delivered to the house. I have a neighbor pick it up. On Monday a repairman arrives. I tell him from my ring doorbell we are not home and was never informed anyone was coming. When we return from vacation, I open the box and it is a whole new ice maker door panel. Clearly LG is aware of this problem, why else would they just send a new replacement part before a repairman even takes a look at it.
Now it's making a funny noise. I'm done. It has to go. I go to Best Buy, explain what happened and immediately I'm told to pick another model, which I do. A whirlpool.
LG makes great TVs, but they do have issues with their refrigerators. LG customer service was the worse. Best Buy's service was the Best. If I had bought it somewhere else, and they wouldn't take it back, i am positive it would just be one problem after another.
Hi there, Agee. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG refrigerator, Model LRFS28XBS. We understand your inquiry regarding the challenges you've faced with your unit, including the cooling performance and the 'IF E' error code.
Regarding the 'IF E' error code, which often indicates an issue with the refrigerator's ice maker fan due to frost buildup, we recommend performing a manual defrost. To do this, unplug the unit and remove all food and ice from the ice bin. Leave the doors open and wait at least 8 hours for the refrigerator to defrost, using towels to soak up any excess water. After 8 hours, use a dry towel to remove any remaining moisture before plugging the unit back in. It can take 24-48 hours for the refrigerator to return to normal operation. I've had LG appliances before, but not a refrigerator. Its quality and design is typical of my previous LG experiences. We replaced a similar feature 4 year old KitchenAid refrigerator and my wife prefers the LG, especially the shelf design and interior space. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a French Door style refrigerator. I also got a great price during the President's Day sale at Best Buy!

I have had this for a week at this point and has been very good to this point. Good quality and operates nicely. The only problem we had was first day of scheduled delivery was cancelled without notice or communication of cancellation which created some issues.
I would recommend this to a friend

Poor Design

Ice and water in the door are a very poor design. Impossible to dispense water into a glass as the outlet is too close to the switch, water goes everywhere. Ice dispenser is “sloppy”. Ice goes into the glass as well as on the floor.
Main drawer in the fridge goes the entire width so you must open both doors to use it. The door on the ice maker side won’t stay open and will close into you knocking whatever you are holding almost out of your hands.
Overall the machine works fine. Very disappointed in the functionality though.
Hi, Bruce. Thank you for reaching out about your LG Refrigerator (LRFS28XBS) model. We understand how important ease of use and functionality are in everyday kitchen routines. One helpful step to improve water dispensing is to angle the glass slightly and place it closer to the outlet before pressing the switch, which can reduce splashing. For the ice dispenser, running the Ice Plus feature can help produce more uniform cubes, making dispensing smoother. You can find more guidance on dispenser use and drawer operation here: https://www.lg.com/us/support/product/lg-LRFS28XBS.ASTCNA1. Love this refrigerator. It has a lot of space and the stainless steel looks very nice.

Only had it a couple months but it's working well, and quite spacious. Only negative so far is the in-door ice maker is a bit louder than my previous fridge and every couple weeks the ice will jam in the bin at the top; the system stops making ice until it is opened and knocked loose. Also wouldn't mind if the temperatures displayed were measured instead of set points.

I've only had it for a month...but I really like it. Nice size and adjustability inside. Holds temperature perfectly. I wish the buttons on water dispenser were easier to read and push.
