However: I have it hooked up to cable and set on HDMI for cable channels. When I turn it on it displays all the premium paid channels and apps. I am unable use my cable remote to do anything. Sometimes after 3 or 4 minutes it changes to the HDMI. Very frustrating!

I use it mainly for OTA TV and as a computer monitor. Computer images look great. LG's menu system is not as nice as Samsung's, but I got this open-box so the price is what I wanted for what it's being used for.

CH+/-, VOL+/-, and MUTE work at first, then "hang," kinda like the TV is "thinking about it." Been in 9 chats w/LG so far, and they finally agreed (under warranty) to look at it. All I've done is jump through hoops for these people. I smell fishy, untested software, but all I get is "operator error." Good luck configuring this! I spent all day setting up channels. Our older 24" TV is great. This one sucks!

27 inch LG SMART TV Review

I ordered it as an open box item. It arrived in perfect condition. I love the features it has. Best Buy is a great company and has the best customer services!

Picture and refresh rate really nice for watching sports. As others have mentioned, the sound quality is very much lacking. Got a Bose TV Speaker sound bar to pair with the set.
