Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the exceptional picture quality, impressive refresh rate, and vibrant colors of this monitor. Many appreciate the HDR capabilities and find the monitor to be a great value for its price, especially considering its G-Sync compatibility. However, some users have noted issues with IPS glow, while others have reported experiencing dead pixels. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality and performance outweighs the concerns regarding these less frequent issues.

Fantastic monitor. To me 4k is where its at. I have no problem turning down graphics settings to boost fps and still enjoy 4 k clarity. I will say i wish the monitor swiveled. Edgelit screen does bleed a little in all black scenes. Overall, id buy this monitor again. When oled gets down to 32 inches.. i may upgrade

Currently using for both series x and PS5. I was ideally going to buy a 1440p 144hz monitor but i decided to pull the trigger and get this monitor since i like the versatility of choosing between 1080/1440p 120hz on multiplayer games, and switching settings to 4k60 for single player games. For those who don't know, on series x u can allow 1440p 120hz with VRR on, and PS5 1080p 120hz. HDMI 2.1 monitors will be a bit pricey so i believe this to be the best multi-functional gaming monitor on the market today. HDR on xbox looks too dark, but on PS5 i think it looks way better so i keep it on and games like spiderman look incredible. Response time is incredibly fast, i had a 3 year old 4k60 fps monitor and this one out of the box just felt way faster. You can also calibrate it with LG firmware (on-screen control) and update to latest firmware for 160hz overclock for any pc gamers. Overall i'm pretty satisfied with this monitor as it feels good to experience 120hz on consoles while also retaining the option to have 4k

This monitor just ended up not being for me. I got my 3080 FE a few weeks ago, and I thought I would try gaming in 4k. Image quality is outstanding, and everything looks super sharp. Games look amazing, but the deal breaker for me is performance. I experienced a ton of graphical pop-up issues, flickering, and frame drops that fell into the teens. I felt like was playing more in the settings on trying to get games just right than actual playing, and I just couldn't take it anymore. I'm just someone who like to play games, and I personally would rather play a smooth 1440p than have a choppy 4k experience. If you're an FPS gamer I wouldn't go near this. I could see this monitor being excellent for content creators and those who need color accuracy, but for me it doesn't really fit my needs. I should note that I'm using a 3700x, so if you have one of the latest CPUs as well your experience might be different mine.

Pretty decent monitor. HDR is nothing special in my opinion I keep it off. But colors and image are very good I prefer this over my old 34' alien ware 2560 x 1080 ultrawide. I hate the fan inside of the monitor I can hear it when it's silent in my room it's not loud per say but it's a specific hum that my ears can easily pick up when I'm just working at my computer not gaming. I have a air purifier in my room so that usually masks the sound but I can notice in fairly easy if I'm using my open back headphones or have them off completely. I still use my oled for the big screen experience but it's nice to game on when I don't want to move my keyboard / mouse and or want to play competitive shooters.

I bought this monitor in 2020 and I've enjoying it, the only thing that is noticeable is slight ghosting when the response time mode is on faster, when playing fast pace games. But overall it's been a great monitor.

Do you need a high refresh rate? 4K? Cool cuz it all works great! Also for those wondering it works with a PS5 at 60hz at 4K. No 120 frames for PS5 but I personally don’t mind. Just a warning for those who might get it for the expectation of PS5 at 120 frames. Also the backlighting is cool too!

I exchanged my Samsung G7 Odyssey (which I was having a lot of problems with) for this monitor and I couldn't be happier. Colors and refresh rate are great. Monitor looks clean on my mount, I'm not a fan of gaming-looking monitors. I just need to get me a 3080 to fully utilize its capabilities.

The only other monitors available that will give you both 4K and 144hz performance are at the $2000 price point. This one will give you that for $800 so long as you own a current generation Nvidia or AMD Video Card.

MW in 4k at 144 FPS is fantastic. Easily the nicest monitor I've purchased. Even with DSC the image quality is quite nice, with colors that are rich, vibrant, and accurate in the correct modes. The IPS light bleed is practically non existent save for one tiny little patch. Compared to my Acer Predator XB271HU, this monitor blows it away in every aspect. My ONLY gripe is that with HDR on the local dimming is slightly noticible with contrasting content. (whites and blacks in the same zone) Keep in mind this takes a powerhouse of a GPU to fully utilize. IE a 3080 or 3090.

This is a great monitor if you have a gpu that can handle it. My monitor arrived with no issues that I could find, so I am happy about that. Heard QC could be hit or miss. I also opted for the extended warranty through Best Buy since the monitor only had a 1 year manufacturer warranty. I will say 4k is a big leap from 1440p. Games look so clear and life like . The HDR wasn’t that bad either. The led ring on the back is a plus as well. I would certainly recommend this monitor for gaming if you are looking for a 4K gsync compatible monitor.

since this monitor was open box, i was afraid that i would receive a monitor with dead pixels or scratches on the screen. luckily, it didn’t look like the monitor was even assembled. it looks sleek, skinny bezels, and the RGB on the back can be so bright that you wouldn’t need RGB strips on the back of your desk. the colors are accurate and the response time and input delay are fantastically low, all while being 4K. i used to game on a 4K 60hz monitor but switching to 4K 144hz (160hz with a firmware update) is amazing. i highly recommend spending half of your stimulus check for this monitor.

Everything about this monitor is great. If you update the firmware, you can use the overclock setting to get it up to 160Hz, but you will need to buy a better DisplayPort cable, because the one that is included isn't good enough for the additional 16Hz. Color accuracy is about as good as you can get in this price range. Super fast pixel response time - basically no ghosting. If you're looking for something for your new console (4K 120fps), then you'll want to go with the 27GP950 instead, because that slightly newer model has HDMI 2.1.

While specs wise and for the price, it all sounds great and exactly what I was looking for, 4K @ 144Hz ( 165Hz overclocked after FW update ) However, just be weary of the sleep issue with this monitor. Time to time my monitor would just turn off for a quick second or two regardless what I would be doing. Google the issue, apparently others are seeing this issue as well. Quite annoying especially when gaming, and that 1-2 second black screen would get me killed in a online match.

I went from a 144hz 4K Acer Predator G-sync (only).. I only swapped to this because I changed to the Red team. I have to say that this boy surpassed my expectations. The free upgrade from 144 to 160 Hz was a welcome present. I have no regrets with switching from another great monitor. I will update my review if things *ever* go sideways... My only real regret is I missed the bby sale for this guy by just a few weeks.

Beautiful 4K display with solid frame rates. Sort of stands on its own for monitor offerings of this type. At this price, it absolutely should have included HDMI 2.1 though. Backlight is really obvious in HDR scenes where you have black or all dark with a small bit of light. My first unit was a dud and had to replace, so that was annoying as well.

Excellent monitor overall. Paired with a 10900k right now and a RTX 3090. Freaking chews through 4k. Nice that the firmware update will allow for 160Hz as well. Highly recommend this monitor. Slight backlight bleed but not bad at all. Just buy it. Note: I liked this monitor so much that I bought another one even after having to return the first one due to dead pixels.
