Perfect TV for an apartment

LOVE this TV!! I had a 27" LG LCD prior to this for 6+ years. I was infatuated with the clarity that it had, even after all those year's of moving in/out of college dorms. Never once posed an issue, and was literally the best TV I ever had! Now moving up to this 43" LG LED, I knew I wouldn't be disappointed; boy was I right! I am in love with this TV, and plan on keeping it for quite some time. Picture clarity is pristine, I honestly don't notice a difference between this and those $1,000+, 65" hdlcd TV's. It's the perfect size for an apartment!

I upgraded to this LG 42" TV from a 32" Sony LCD HDTV that was seven years old. It was getting old, and needless to say, I needed a unit whose picture would just 'pop out at me.'
This TV does just that. The display is perfect and everything is so crisp and clear, and flows smoothly. The audio, too, is pretty clear. It makes watching TV enjoyable.
I honestly have no complaints. It's LG, and the price is good for what you get. You won't be disappointed.

i have nothing but LG tv's in my house. this tv looks great due to it's thinner profile and slim bezel around the edge of the screen. my only knock on this tv is the amount of time it takes to turn on. you press the power button and the red LED on the bottom takes a few seconds to turn off to let you know the tv is powering on. so sometimes i press the power button again not realizing that the tv is powering on. this is common with the LF series and the LB series i bought a year ago. the other thing is when wall mounting the tv the hdmi connector is kind of blocked by the mount. depending on your mount you might lose an hdmi port. kind of rough when it only comes with 2 ports.

The picture is great on this tv we really enjoy watching it. I really like its slim design also. I mounted this tv over our fireplace mantle with a slim profile tv mount and it looks great and does not stick out far. Because of the slim mount and the location of the hdmi input I had to use a right angle hdmi connector adapter but it worked out fine. The speakers on the tv are not very loud - we have to turn it up quite a bit to a level we can watch it at but it works for us.

The LG - 42 is lightweight for its size and was easy to set inside the cabinet in our TV room replacing an older, smaller and much heavier TV. Set up was very easy. The instruction manual was clear to follow. Had the new set hooked up to DVR and cable and then running in ten minutes after opening the box

Bought this for my Mother. Was trying to maximize the limited space she had and this size fit great, and was priced well below similar models. It has a great picture, and surprisingly good sound. She often watches from across the room, and it has enough volume to easily allow her to do that. Easy setup and easy for her to understand. Exactly what we were looking for!

Great TV for the Money

I bought this TV to replace my 5 year old Samsung 720p. The increased clarity is great, it was incredibly easy to set up, it's very slim and sleek, and really a great deal for the money. The only (very small) critique I have is that my Xbox One does not seem able to control the TV through Kinect which is slightly annoying. But that very well could be an Xbox issue and not LG. Bottom line is that it's solid TV and an excellent deal.

Great TV for this price range and even better when I was prepared to pay the price listed online but it was on sale in the store. No problems having it hooked up and going in 10 minutes. Sleek looking, lightweight so it's easy for one person to move around as needed. Plan to mount it on the wall in the next week and will update my review if there's problems with that.

So far I am pleased with this tv. Right off the bat I can say the worst so far is the stands. Where ever your placing the tv better be about 39" wide and to turn the whole tv requires picking up the whole tv. But not a problem if your wall mounting. The picture in my opinion is good only negative is for dark Colors in low light conditions. I personally don't care but if your vary picky about things like that just be wary. O and only 2 hdmi ports wish it had a few more. But over all for $350 you can't beat it and am vary happy so far

Good price, nice design, average picture pretty much sums it up. The picture quality isn't what I was expecting, but for the price I can't complain. Also, depending on the light, there can be a pretty good glare on the screen. Overall nice secondary tv, would buy again.

We purchased three of these televisions for the partners' offices in our firm. We are very pleased with the purchase. The televisions have an excellent quality picture and were a value at their price. We have not had any issues with any of them. They are very slim and mount nicely against the wall.

This is by far the best TV that we have ever bought. It is very user friendly and light weight. The picture is great and the settings are very easy to get used to. We will be replacing other TVs in the house with the same LG product.

I've had this television for a month and a half, and it performs great. I get extremely bright colors, sharp detail, and "professional" options to tweak my colors.
I primarily use it as a gaming display and as a computer monitor for my PC, and it makes a great unit for both. Tried a few movies as well, and I have no complaints in regards to performance.
Pros: Great, sharp display that's bright. Controls are hidden at the bottom to appear almost "buttonless".
Cons: Limited buttons makes television almost useless if the remote is ever lost or destroyed.
I would definitely recommend this unit for gaming.

I've bought more than a few led televisions and I have always like the LGs the most. This one is more of a "bare bones" model. It's not "smart", there are no apps, and no 3D but paying extra for 3D is just throwing your money away anyway in my opinion. But it is 1080p HD, the picture is amazing, and it's simple to use. It's lightweight too so it was super simple to throw it up on my bedroom wall without needing an extra set of hands.

Easy to set up. Took less than 10 minutes and I was watching beautiful perfect color ,hearing perfect sound. Not any thing like the defective Sharp that I had to return per their instructions (customer service)
