This TV feels likes the first real upgrade I've made in 15 years. Even though I've bought other TVs in that time, the LG C2 actually feels like a big leap in technology.
Perfect black levels. Excellent burn-in prevention measures. True frame rate of 120, with Variable Refresh Rate keeping the frame rate synced with your PC, Xbox, or PS5.
There's not much more to say than the LG C2 is the best TV I've ever owned, and previous TVs don't even come close.

Amazing tv, using it currently as my gaming PC monitor and it works and looks amazing. Only downside is you will need to turn it off and on via the remote after shutting down the the computer

Bought to use as a 4k 120Hz PC monitor for gaming and general work. Took a bit of fidgiting around to get it to work but works great now. Looks amazing. I had been using a Samsung 40" LCD tv for the past few years. I'll never go back to a small monitor. Make sure you have an HDMI cable that can handle it. Upgrading the cable solved my problem. I use it in a basement off with no windows so it's plenty bright enough.

I’ve had this tv since October 2022, best TV hands down, i use it daily and still has no burn in, sound is great and the TV doubles as a computer monitor with the 120hz screen, did my whole Spider-Man play through on this and the picture quality was just out of this world, no slow downs with the UI either

Great monitor and TV for a small space setup.
Beautiful colors and quite deep with great blacks since it is an OLED. The brightness isn't the highest when it doesn't have hdr mode on, but otherwise it is great all around.
One caveat I have for anyone that uses this as a PC monitor is that if you have an Nvidia GPU in your PC, the C2 models (and apparently prior models too) under 55 inches have an issue where G Sync VRR being on will cause random flickering and visual artifacts when the display turns off then back on during an active session or after you shutdown and turn it back on.
The fix to that for Nvidia users is to use the LG companion app from github to make it behave like a pc monitor instead of a TV. Otherwise, the on the spot fix is to go into nvidia control panel and just turn gsync off, then back on.
But yeah, that caveat is all just about g sync being on and a bad handshake with the software and LG's TVs.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with the LG 42" Class C2 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV! We're thrilled to hear that you are enjoying the beautiful colors, deep blacks, and overall great performance of the OLED display.
Regarding the brightness, you mentioned that it might not be the highest when HDR mode is off, but we're glad to know that it still performs well across different aspects.
We appreciate your feedback about using this TV as a PC monitor with an Nvidia GPU. Indeed, some users may encounter a G-Sync VRR issue, but we're here to help. To resolve this, you can use the LG companion app from GitHub to make it behave like a PC monitor instead of a TV, or simply turn off and then back on the G-Sync option in the Nvidia control panel.
We're delighted that you chose LG for your small space setup, and we value your loyalty. If you ever need further assistance or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us privately on Facebook or Twitter using @LGUSSupport. Thank you again for your positive feedback, and we hope you continue to enjoy your LG C2 Series OLED TV! 😊 ^Luisa

I bought this TV for the purpose of gaming and wanted the newest brightest tech. After doing many reviews this TV (atm) knocked out any TVs in its price and category. The brightness and high quality come from the OLED technology and it has a sound enhancer that makes it even better. Great tv. Only downside is it’s reflection but even out some of the settings and your good to go.

Best 4k "gaming" monitor if you take care of it

For 800 dollars, this beats any and all "gaming" monitors. The size is just right for any desk set up so long as you push the tv back all the way or mount it on a Vesa mount. The picture quality is amazing, the colors pop, and the motion processing is pretty good. Sony still beats it in terms of pure movie watching, but it also costs an absurd amount of money and doesn't have a smaller option like the 42 inch LG Oled. I have a 4080 installed on my computer and hooked up to this beast of a tv and it's beautiful.
Only get this at the 800 dollar price though. If not, wait for the C3 and pray it has a heatsink :)
P.s. get the warranty. This is plasma 10.0 with its same problem for image burn in. Take care of this tv and it will take care of you. But also, get the warranty. Better to be safer than sorry.

This is a perfect monitor.
Windows 10/11 recognizes it without issue.
Mac Mini with 6900xt eGPU sees 120hz no hdr or VRR. If you change the refresh rate to 60hz then HDR is enabled. Seems to be an MacOS limitation because in boot camp the full potential is unlocked.

Replaced my excellent HP Omen 27i with this 42" C2. I wanted something that'll work great with my Nintendo switch, Xbox series s, PS4 and PC. This TV is the perfect size, especially since there aren't many options for smaller OLED displays. Took a bit of tinkering to get the display to look good for my PC, but after an hour or so it looks great. I had issues with my series s not displaying over 1080p, but I replaced my HDMI with a rocket fish one and now it works perfect. I highly recommend this, especially at the $900 price point it's at right now!

LG makes the absolute best OLED panels in the entire industry - this TV is no exception, it is stunning and has 120hrz refresh rate which makes it ideal for gaming on PS5 - I use it as my gaming monitor and run all my games at 120fps, with the tv also supporting 1ms response time - best possible screen to pair with a ps5, no matter what size you want to play on.
