    TLDR: I'm an LG fanboy, This is an absolute crap product. I'm on player #3. LG acknowledges that most people have an issue with freezes in large format discs (movies over 2 hours) and their solution is for you to unplug and plug in your player. Sound about right? Only if you get into the claims department on LG's website will you see solutions....Sort of.. As I stated I'm on player 4, soon to be player 5. LG can't fix it and BestBuy doesnt care. So I will continue buying and returning these things to help prevent people from buying them. Middle fingers up to LG for continuing to sell this and BestBuy as always for standing there with their hands in the air like "hey, we didnt do it"

    Never even got one viewing

    Bought this almost 3 years ago and never set it up. I got it as a gift for myself for but never actually used it because I mostly buy my movie digitally now. I finally decided to watch a movie from my dvd collection that I couldn't find streaming free and when I put in the disk it played for 6 secs then went back to the main player screen. I tried 5 more times and got the same result. I tried 3 other disks 2 regular disks and one Blu ray and got the same result with each one. So suffice to say I purchased a defective unit 3 years ago and had no idea and now I'm stuck with this lemon and have nothing to watch my dvds on even if I wanted to. This shouldn't happen regardless how long I let an item sit on my entertainment stand unused- I should be able to press play and it work without fail, especially having never been used before! Thanks Best Buy; Thanks LG.

    Eh...frustrating picture quality

    I bought this player a while ago. From the start it had issues with pixelation of disk playback. The player quit reading disks correctly all together while under warranty and I sent it in for repair (pixelation). They sent it back and it worked...for a while. Sadly it didn't last long. I finally decided to just recycle it since it had just been sitting in my cabinet unused for the last year and a half. End of story is I may have just gotten a bad unit...but this was seriously a bad way to spend $200. I am very suspect of LG quality because of this purchase and have not purchased anything LG since.

    Piece of junk, stay away

    I ordered this from BestBuy through google shopping and returned as I got a defective piece. Disk tray does not open completely. Disk gets stuck inside the tray even if you manage to insert one and the player doesn't detect the disc. This is where quality check comes into the picture, wonder why such an expensive item doesn't go through it which eventually ate up my time and held my money for weeks

    Don’t buy this junk

    Went to buy magnavox 4K player but salesman told me he would recommend LG! So I bought it :( took it home to hook it up to my system but after trying for 20 min no way I can get it to the main menu!!! I am a computer guy and I know how to troubleshoot but no way I could get this Piece of junk to wrok with my system!! Took it back and got the magnavox and worked 1st try :) WOW!! LG needs to get this player to work with all systems not just to hook it straight to TV!! BTW I can’t hook it straight to TV, it’s not an option for me. Anyway don’t waste your time and money!

    Horrible! Slow and Expensive

    I bought this as a replacement for an older model Sony player. I’ll be returning it in the morning because it took almost 45 seconds to fast forward a few minutes in a DVD. It also ate my DVD and it took about 10 minutes to get it out. It’s not user friendly and was twice the price as my older one that works better! The technology seems like it hasn’t been updated in 15 years. I’m shocked that there are any good reviews on it

    Total Rip-Off, Dies After 6 months of LIGHT Use

    Worked OK for six months, then DIED without warning. One day it just wouldn't turn on and that's all she wrote. Apparently this is a common problem, but that doesn't make me feel better about losing $180. Let's just say I will NEVER, EVER buy an LG product again. This was my first and my very last. AVOID THIS PLAYER!!!!

    Bad batch??? IDK, but this is mt second ond as I exchanged first one as first 6 times I watched a svd it would cut out during 2 of the viewings. 1 was a brand new dvd and other was one I watched previously. Now at 6th viewing this exchanged player is doing it again. I should have known to steer clear since store had an open box player on shelf.

    Garbage. Do not buy

    Do not spend your money. This product is garbage. Every single 4K disc I put into the player stops suddenly in the middle of the film and no button will fix it. The player needs to be unplugged from the wall and reset completely each and every time.

    stopped working after 2 months

    It was a great DVD player until it stopped working. Never turned back on. Extremely disappointed I spent this much money on this. Had an lg tv too so it paired nice.
