Movies sound great, especially with atmos, and makes my gaming, movie watching, music listening a million times better than a standard sound bar or tv speakers. Pairs great with the LG CX and EARC makes connecting to the tv seamless. Would highly recommend with any tv that has EARC pass through.

Really loud. Goes all the way up to 100 but usually keep it between 15-25. Could use a tad more thump for the bass

I got this soundbar expecting it to be just as good as the 2018 model (can’t remember the name), but the center channel was much worse. There was distortion as the volume increases be it Dolby vision or not, and the bass was mediocre at best. Swapped it out with Samsung’s 3.1.2 hw-q70R, and it’s miles better.

Adjusting and fine-tuning the sound doesn't do much. I tried all the adjustments and combination of adjustments/programs and I still am not happy with the performance. I do like the sync between the LG TV and Soundbar.
I did hear one LG Soundbar at the store that was sounded fantastic. I thought I was purchasing that soundbar - it obviously wasn't this one.

I like to company (one star), and I like the build quality (second star). That’s it.
Unfortunately for me in a perfect room for Atmos, the sound bar sounded extraordinarily muffled. Watching a variety of movies and listening to a variety of music there was no excitement, placement of objects, or clarity and dialogue. I see some very highly rated reviews here, so I wonder if there might of been an issue with this sound bar for me, but I just don’t trust it anymore. I have gone the Sonos Arc route, And so far couldn’t be happier.
Setting it up through Google assistant is a little annoying since I don’t want to use the service. And the LG app for iOS is a complete dumpster fire of absolute crap proportions, at this writing it’s hovering at 1.4 stars. It was also most recently updated a year ago, that goes to show that there is not a whole lot of faith in this app. Once I didGet it started, there was really no value in having it. It was clunky, and pointless.

I've had this item 90 days so unfortunately it is un-returnable. A few weeks after I owned it the sound bar stopped putting out sound intermittently. The only way I could get it to start working again was to unplug it and plug it back in. Settings did not help. This problem continued and I consulted with the Best Buy sales rep but he did not have a solution and I was already past the return date of two weeks. Additionally, there is a noticeable sound delay with the picture. Attempting to adjust the sound delay through the TV did not work as it just delayed it more. I've searched online with no resolution to either issue. Now the sound bar is not putting out sound at all. Sigh... $1k down the drain.

It has excellent bass and sound! Although when watching a movie the bass needs to be turned down to be able to clearly here the words the characters are saying! But it has clear sound when a song is playing! I’ll give it 5 stars cause of the excellent bass

Subwoofer continuously would lose connection from the Soundbar despite being 8-10 feet away from my router or any other wireless devices.
Sound was a lackluster and bass was super underwhelming. Got this soundbar at a discount with my LG CX OLED but promptly returned after doing more research on how widespread the connectivity issues were. I ended up spending the few extra $ to get the JBL 9.1 and waiting for it to arrive.
If you’re considering getting this soundbar, save yourself the headache and don’t. The JBL 9.1, Vizio Elevate, or Nakamichi 7.2.4 soundbar are ALL better choices for the price range.
LG might make the best OLED displays but when it comes to soundbars, they absolutely fall short.

Be sure to measure first, this is a very large soundbar. If you have the room for it, it truly delivers. The atmos fills the room with sound and is incredible. For movies without atmos, the sound is very clear and crisp with deep bass and clear dialogue.

Bought this for my new tv and its amazing. The dolby atmos adds another level of sound that makes watching movies, tv and sports just that much better, Love the 520W power and the channels are great. Love it.
