After a horrifying drop when sliding our 48” tv into a diff position on our stand, which of course broke, we had to scramble and buy another TV. We went up in size and from Panasonic to LG. Even though the decision was made quickly in store, we have been very happy with purchase. Knock on wood, for the extended time we have had it, all has been good. Picture is great...crisp and clear, easy set up and and no weird issues.
The only slight issue might be when it comes with upside down assmetrical V shape legs that attach near end/side of TV. We are thinking of going up to a 65” and putting this in our bedroom, but because TV has legs near sides as opposed to oval base in middle that out other tv has, we cannot move it upstairs because TV stand is not wide enough for legs to sit onl. If it had the middle base our other TV had, it would work. But that is a design issue and nothing that would keep me from getting another LG.

My wife and I really like this LG 55 inch LED HDTV. The picture is excellent, there is very little "border" around the edges. The electricity usage is low compared to other HDTVs. I especially like the built in WiFi and the built in Apps, enabling us to watch Netflix with no additional add-on equipment. We had it mounted on the wall (by the Geed Squad) because the "feet" it comes with are near the outside edges and so it requires a very wide table or cabinet to set on. This is the only negative I can think of after enjoying it for a few weeks!

The LG is such a sleek tv. It sits up on two narrow feet. I really didn't care for them but I guess it makes it more stable. The TV is not too heavy and its really thin, love it! The picture is great and I love how easy it is to maneuver to the Apps that are pre-built into the tv. I haven't used any of the apps except for Netflix, which is pretty simple. You won't be disappointed in this TV and the price was a great deal!

I really love this tv, except the volume goes out every now and then when I turn it on, not as much but could get that fixed and the WiFi doesn't always stay connected so when I go into the Hulu and Netflix sometimes I have to retype password I'm sure I need to change some setting but haven't figured it out yet. So those are the only reasons I didn't give it that last star. But the picture is very nice and I love the slick design. It is very easy to use when navigating through the apps.

Sounds is above average given the size of speakers on these thin TVs. I still use a separate surround system for deeper sound.
Picture quality is superb... when viewing directly front on. It has a premium quality up to about a 20 degree angle. After that, the picture looks quite faded with some red-bleeding. That part is real disappointing; partly because I don't recall reading that on others' reviews. Perhaps there is a setting I'm missing. At this point, it has a similar view angle as that of the old rear projection TVs. I truly hope that I find a setting to address this.
The screen has a muted finish for less glare (bonus).
Lightweight, easy to mount on the wall.
Good number of ports (USB, HDMI, etc).
I would recommend to a friend but with a caveat. This is an excellent, general use TV (single sofa in front of TV, xbox/ps, etc). If you are looking for a movie room TV, this is NOT it.

I have had the TV now for about a month and the picture is beautiful. The smart features are well designed and the download speeds are great with little or no buffering depending on the application. Mounting was very easy and the input/output design is perfect for my needs and is built to be low profile. A very good buy for the money, as long as it lasts several years. Will update if anything changes.

Picture is as good as described.
Sound is good enough.
It's a smart HD TV very affordable.
Only downside is the remote, when you navigate in the web browser, it takes forever to move the mouse pointer.
It should come with a smart TV friendly remote to get a 5 star review.
But overall, I'm happy with this purchase.

I love when modestly priced TVs have sufficient credibility among professionals that I can find calibration and recommended picture settings online. Such is the case with this LG 55LF6100. Why is this important? Because, most TVs are not shipped with optimum home settings but are shipped with settings intended to make them stand out on the show-room floor. Seems dumb, but it's what manufacturers do. You can also do your own picture settings at home using calibration disks (Disney's WOW is easy to use), but the professional recommendations will get you closer, and help get your TV looking much closer to sets costing far more.
And this TV calibrates quite nicely. The picture is quite bright, with nice contrast and it looks very natural. At this price, being close to the center of the TV when viewing is best, because color accuracy drops off at farthest angles. For a TV in this price range, black levels are really black, not gray. This is great for Sci-FI and fantasy films with lots of shadows.
I use the cinema mode (or Expert Mode) and turn off almost every enhancement. None are helpful and most degrade the picture. Set Black Level to Low. Use a calibration disk or the Geek Squad to get the most out of the TV. Enjoy.

Great picture. Easy to set up.The WiFi works like a charm and makes it very simply to connect to Netflix etc. A few weeks later, I purchased the LG sound bar and now the sound is as great as the picture. You cannot buy a better picture for the price.

Had only owned much better known TVs before. Our son said we were overspending and that he had an LG, which cost less, and that it was "all the TV that we needed." He was right! It has a very good picture, is a "smart" TV; and I really like the installation (on an "arm" in a corner). It truly is a surprise. Definitely got our money's worth with this one, and it IS far better than we expected! Good buy!

I've had this TV for 2 years now. It has held up well. We added an LG Soundbar system with subwoofer and it works great. The built in apps are plentiful ranging from Neflix to Google Play to many others. Pretty much everyone's streaming platform is covered except a few. The internet connectivity drops sometimes for some reason. We have had to reset it about twice a year. But the picture is nice from every vieweing angle and there is not really a glare. I have used both of the phone mirror/casting options and that works well too. This was an excellent choice in a Smart TV.

I purchased this TV...twice. The first time it had the white hazy "blob" that some have reported. I simply returned it for the same model TV. Second time was a charm! The TV looks amazing, has all the features you would want in a Smart TV and the sound is actually quite amazing. Many TV's have bland, flat sounding speakers but these are actually quite good.
I definitely recommend this TV!

My old TV is a LG but only had a 24 inch screen. The larger screen and the features of the smart TV made viewing TV pleasant again. Having built in Wi-Fi as well as being able to access Net flick and Amazon videos has been a pleasant experience.

After a great deal of research, we purchased TV and it was delivered within 3-4 business dsys. Upon setting up the TV, we discovered the screen was cracked. After speaking with Best Buy reps, resolution was prompt & very satisfactory. New TV was delivered the next day & is awesome! Color, sound, clarity, extra features - access to internet, YouTube, Netflix, etc - definitely worth the extra money. A winner in our house!

I have had this TV for a little over a month now and am very happy with it. The picture is just beautiful, but like just about all thin flat screens, the sound is very weak. There is also a very annoying issue with the sound setup. All my previous tv's would have sound outpu through the tv speakers and the digital output. That made it very easy to watch tv using the TV speakers, but if you wanted the home theater system on with better sound all you had to do was turn it on. This TV will only send audio through the TV speakers or the digital output and you must select one or the other. This means every time I want to watch something in surround I first have to go into the audio setup menu and change from TV speakers to digital output. This is so annoying. If I had known this before I bought this TV it would have been a deal breaker and I would have looked at other brands. I still recommend this TV but if your listening arrangement is such that you can only sometimes use surround sound, be aware of this shortcoming or be prepared for the hassle of having to change your audio setup back and forth between the TV speakers and digital output.

I've been wanting a new tv for years now but the options for quality products were pricey. Finally the LG smart TV came down considerably and the smart features were good enough for me. Great picture, easy navigation through the smart menu, and also connects to my media server for media playback. Everything I needed and wanted. All its 55" awesomeness for $640 out the door, can't beat it!

Love LG tvs... Great, film-like picture, without all the strange shadowing, etc. that you get with some of the newer LED tvs out there (Samsung, I'm looking at you). Have not used any of the smart features yet, but the menus seem very straight-forward. Great price on a great set!

I had planned on getting a Sharp AQUOS the day I went in best buy but this was on sale for the same price and man I'm glad it was. This tv is extremely easy to set up and use all your apps on. Picture is incredible. I might say it would be a little better with 120hz instead of 60 but it's nothing too noticeable. I am 100% satisfied with my LG.
