Picture, 3-D, are a delight to behold. Glad I waited years to get the best. It's a movie theatre experience. It's brought joy to my family. 3-D is spectacular. Use a sound bar.

I love my LG 4K OLED TV. Installation was pretty easy. I attached the stand and connected the power cable and hdmi cables. For the best UHD and 4K quality, i just checked on youtube the optimal settings and it works great. I no longer have interest watching movies on any other device. It's pricey but it was money well spent. I bought it at best buy and was very happy to get a gift card that was enough to buy the LG sound bar with sub woofer. In short, i love my sight and sound equipment.

OLED is the way to go. Very impressed with the picture and contrast. The black is black. The sound is good too. A sound bar will enhance the sound experience, but it is not required. I'm just using the TVs internal speakers and have no complaints. The TV runs cooler than the Samsungs. The curved screen adds better side viewing angles and I don't even notice the screen is curved. The colors are amazingly sharp and the palette is so much more than my previous TV. Very little blur with action sports, so shots can be crisp and sharp. 3D function is not bad either, uses passive 3D glasses which works really good & I got 2 pairs of regular glasses + 2 pair of slip on glasses with the purchases. Has only 3 HDMI slots, but so far this is not a problem. But has only 1 x 5 component or 3 composite input. The Remote is very interested to use and uses a mouse like feature to make setting selections, comes in very useful too. Overall - this is the TV to get. Very happy with it and its features.

You will not be disappointed if you purchase this TV! As I write this review I am on day three with this TV and I am enjoying this awesome picture quality of this TV. This is truly the best TV on the market for 2015! Movies from Netflix look their best on this TV! I am a gamer and Halo 5 is amazing looking on this TV when set to game mode! The speakers designed by Harman / Kardon are good sounding but for larger rooms I would recommend getting a surround sound system. I purchased the Yamaha YAS-203 sound bar with the wireless subwoofer to go with this TV but it hasn't arrived yet so I will write a review on that later this week when that comes in. I caught this TV on sale for 2999.99. The regular price is 4999.99 but I would purchase at that price as well cause I was looking to that price when I walk into the store anyway. If you love deep black levels that plasma TVs give then this get OLED 4K TV and you will not be disappointed!

This TV has enormous potential in so many areas related to viewing experience...and it lives up to the OLED hype in ALMOST every one. Please keep in mind that I am an "everyday" average user..using this TV for over-the-air Time Warner Cable HD viewing, Blu Ray movies and streaming Netflix and Youtube. Let's start with Picture Quality (PQ). For the everyday viewer, the TV upscales normal cable 1080i signals nicely. Most channels will look more than adequate. My ONLY complaint (and the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5), is that it seems like the TV has some trouble with fast motion while upscaling....primarily when displayed against bright backgrounds. When normal fluid fast moving objects are displayed with a lighter background, there can be noticable "noise" or slightly blurry or jagged edges around objects...along with occasional mild distortion or cloudiness in backgrounds. I believe these issues can be greatly improved by playing in the settings...specifically with those responsible for motion (tru motion) etc...the only downside to some is the introduction of the "soap opera effect"...which most dont care for...I actually dont mind it. I believe there is a way to actually greatly improve these issues while minimizing this...but it entails meticulous calibrating of many picture settings...and online research to find such settings. It's important to note that these issues are mostly only present on upscaling over the care signals....Blu Rays and HD/4K streaming is much MUCH better. Now where this TV excels is the amazing inky black levels and pure snow whites in native 1080P Blu Ray and native 4K Youtube video. 4K is breathtaking...the infinite contrast is astounding. The true potential of this set will only be realized when native 4K players/4K Blu Rays are released in Feb./March (Samsung model available for pre-order now at BB...along with 4K Blu Rays), and more quality 4K content is released for streaming. The colors, resolution and contrast are simply amazing with these signals. The other area where the TV excels is the Operating System and interface. It is extremely user friendly and smooth...especially with the awesome magic wand remote. Finally, the viewing angles on this TV are phenomenal. I can stand at an extreme angle way off to the side in my kitchen...and still see the TV in my family room with no degredation of picture. I believe this is due to the OLED technology more than the slight curve...which I am neutral about. I actually dont even really notice that it's curved..and although I certainly dont mind it...I dont think it reaally brings any significant benefit to the viewing experience..especially at a 55" size. If you can grab one of these during a sale...and dont mind paying top dollar...I would recommend doing so if you watch a lot of native 4K or 1080p sources. It's no slouch with upscaling...but where this TV excels at Picture Quality...I believe Samsung/Sony prob do a better job with processing motion with SD signals.

    Breakthrough Technology

All that has been written about OLED technology being a breakthrough advancement in picture quality is true. In my opinion, this is true based on the ability of OLED to recreate absolute black levels with no smearing or bleed. Remarkable! I have long been a Sony XBR devotee with only one brief departure to sample Plasma. What convinced me to stray to LG OLED here was the knock your socks off (passive) 3D I witnessed in a Magnolia showroom. What I witnessed there was far superior to the (active) 3D I was experiencing at home with my 4K Sony XBR. I have to say that what I see at home with the LG OLED and normal content is no different from the Sony - disappointing. With that exception, I am totally satisfied with this OLED TV based on its unmatched picture quality.

Deep black levels. Brilliant colors. Perfect picture from any angle. Had a Samsung 55JS9000 and actually rated it 5 stars as it is a good TV as long as you are directly in front of it. The picture would wash terribly moving slightly off axis. Returned it for the LG 55EG9600 and a great decision. This has to be the best TV on the market. Only draw back may be it is only HDR compatible for streaming and not for HDMI connections once 4K Blu Ray players are released. Still can use 4K Blu Ray but may not get full benefits. It is pricey but was able to catch it on sale for $3,999.00.

    Outstanding Viewing Experience

This is hands down the best TV I have owned. I am viewing from approximately 8 feet. I went with the 55" and it fits the viewing space perfectly. I have windows surrounding behind me and the picture shows perfectly without being washed out. The contrasts of this television is outstanding and unmatched by other sets I looked at. The Blacks are the most perfect black you can view which makes the colors stand out that much more. The 3D is immersive with very little to no jutter. I like the fact that it comes with 2 pairs of 3D glasses and 2 pairs of clip on glasses. The picture is extremely smooth without giving it that Soap Opera effect. I have read reviews that mention the image can burn in. However, with my viewing I have not experienced this whatsoever. The only downfall of this television is the price. I purchased this on sale and already I see the prices coming down a bit on these. I still believe that the quality of this set justifies the price tag. Pros: Perfect Deep Blacks Extremely Smooth Picture Immersive 3D Very Thin and Lightweight for the size Cons: Price Tag Takes a Little Time to Adjust the Picture Settings to the Room Settings Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this television and would buy it again given the chance.

There is no doubt that the LG Oled 4K tv is the best quality picture available on the market. When I visited Best Buys Magnolia dept. and saw this tv on display, I knew this is the tv for our home. Incredible color and black as well as the extreme high definition. 3D works with just ease by a press of a button on the remote. Just put on the 3D glasses and enjoy. Excellent smart TV and Internet interaction. Worth the price.

We love this TV. We had a plasma television for the past 10 years and loved the quality. After it died 4 months ago, we tried television after television to get the same picture quality we once had. Finally after purchasing this television, we got what we were looking for and more. It was so easy to install and setup. The children love the 3D ability and Smart features as well. It is extremely easy to switch back and forth between each feature. Thank you!!

I got this tv in an open box deal from bestbuy for $500 bucks. When it was first released it was over $7,000. Great picture. Wish it had capability to hook up to Bluetooth wireless headphones but besides that it has more features than I could ask for. The 3D is amazing. The blacks are incredible. I'm more than happy!

I have had my 55" oled 4K tv for a month now. It was an open box with some missing accessories (manual and the 3D glasses). Best Buy printed the manual online for me which I didn't necessarily need. They also replaced these missing 3D glasses with Sony branded for free which was also amazing. Picture quality, no tv can be compared to this lg 4K Oled. This is making my movie life more enjoyable with my little family. I love Best Buy for giving me a great discount on this tv. Me, my family and my job are very comfortable shopping at Best Buy. You guys are awesome!!!

This TV exceeds what we saw at the store. The 4K movies are so rich and clear it is the same as going to the movies. Very easy to use, but would recommend professional setup. You need to purchase the best 4 K receiver that fits your budget. Love the curved screen as we can easily see from our kitchen. The remote is very easy to use. Use of Netflix is very easy. Even though unit is pricey I have to say it is worth what I paid for it. Picked it up as a closeout after comparing it in Magnolia room to other sets.

I have always purchased Samsung Led's in the past but after reading the reviews and seeing the TV in the showroom I got the OLED. Easily the best TV I have ever seen. Got it home and plugged it in and didn't even change the settings. The 3D viewing is also a plus... Very impressive. The viewing angle from the side is just like looking at it straight on, no fade or color loss. An all around great set.

This has all the bells and whistles - from easy installation to 3D upscaling. We plugged it in, and the unique animation started. Walks you through everything to get connected. Absolutely the best picture on nearly all channels. Old shows/movies will look grainy. The curved screen and edge to edge picture are drool worthy. My wife teases that I got a new TV, but she's plopped in front of it just as much as me. It's expensive, but one we feel worth the investment during the cold, snowy winters.

Love this LG TV it was pricey but if you want a TV that has a great picture and excellent color than its worth it. I have noticed that when I watch the news some of the stores that they film is blurry at times but if that doesn't bother you then I would recommend this TV to anyone. This TV is great for viewing at an angle and the upgrade to 3D works really good. I haven't rented a 3D movie yet to see how it works so I can't comment on that but I do love the picture its great.
