Stunning
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seeing it in a showroom is great, but seeing your favorite film or sports show in your own home is superb. Wonderful natural, rich colors, deep blacks, smooth action shots. Even the remote is extremely functional. I use an external sound bar but the speakers in the set are decent.

Best TV in the market you can buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, yes, I know the price is too expensive compared to other TVs available in the market. Navigating the TV menu is the best in class from any other TV, unlike Samsung or Sony who make you go through the entire menu like stepping on stones. LG has their Magic Remote that acts like a handheld mouse and move across fluently. Compared image quality from a Samsung QLED and LG OLED, and the LG OLED was able to display certains parts of a scene that QLED couldn't in really dark scenes. I bought my LG OLED for its image quality and I enjoy watching it every second. Warning!, can get addictive. Word of advice, upgrade your Netflix subscription to 4K, you will enjoy your TV even more.

Amazing 4K Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV several weeks ago to replace an older Sony 48" HD LCD set that gave up on us after a mere 7 years and one fix under warranty. The brightness and quality of the image is off the charts when watching anything in 4K. Rest of TV viewing is fine but tough to compete with that 4K image. We watch primarily sports, movies, and some XBOX One gaming. Madden 19, OMG. Only downside - glare might be more of an issue with this set than my last, tough to say until you live with it through all seasons. Will not comment on sound as we go through home theater.

Fantasic Display
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was debating between this specific LG OLED TV and the QLED from Samsung and I've owned both brands of TVs in the past. Overall the LG seemed to be the better fit for me. Obviously OLED has more advantages over a traditional LCD display no matter how fancy they seem to make it sound. The difference with OLED being you have to worry about burn-in more so and individual pixels dying out...but that's what warranties are for. Also the magic remote is way better than the one Samsung offers...I still need the traditional feel even with a SMART TV. Love the TV, has the best picture IMO and looks great on the wall - also has gallery mode to compete with Samsung's Wall Art. The Google Assistant is a nice touch seeing how my TV can now be a "hub" to control other smart devices and I can also control the TV without using the remote if needed. Costs more sure...but worth it in the end.

Great TV and beautiful Design
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the same review for the 65 inch. My wife liked it so much we purchased the 55 inch for our main floor. I won't rehash what's been said by all of the professional and Best Buy reviewers so I will try to be informative and keep it short. I purchased this set coming from a well reviewed LCD. -Much nicer viewing angles- no more sitting in front for best picture -Speed. OS is fast, reacts to commands almost instantly -Sound is surprisingly good for tv speakers There are LCD's that are great as well and in the end it came down to viewing angles and those absolute blacks. I now feel like I have the best tv on the market, and by almost all the reviews I've read, it is.

Third time’s the charm
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our purchase of this tv was off to a rocky start. Our first delivery had a damaged pixel so we exchanged it. Well, the second one had 2 damaged pixels. We exchanged it for a final time, and everything has been perfect ever since. The picture is beautiful, of course. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we heard the sound quality. No sound bar needed. The system is clear and easy to navigate. The remote is awesome! It acts as a cursor, which makes using apps super easy. The screen itself is super thin. It looks nice and sleek (that was a perk we didn’t even consider when choosing this tv). We noticed how nice it looked when we set it up in our living room. It is pricey but it is everything we hoped for in a tv and more. I’d buy a couple more for the rest of the house if I could!

Awesome in dark rooms.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is one of the best representations of HDR I've ever seen. 100% blacks and wide color gamut really makes content pop on this tv. That being said, I returned it because the image is pretty dim for my living room and when playing video games, my particular model showed some mild image retention which was distracting to me. But if either of these don't bother you then I highly recommend this tv.

Very pleased
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first review of anything. All I CAN say is, I'm coming from a led for years. This Oled is for anyone who wants, photo realistic image, and true to life color. Trust me, perfect black level makes all the difference. If you want to watch tv outside, get a Qled. Trust me, Oled is bright enough. I have both luminescence settings at 50, and is still is bright enough. In conclusion, Oled just seems to check all the boxes, that you would want in a tv.Can't wait to hook up ps4 pro, in hdr, and see what that looks like. Don't worry about burn in, just turn off hud in video game, to avoid that. Ps, I can't go back to led, after having Oled.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This works perfectly in my Family Room. I was weighing options between a larger 65" non-OLED screen and this one, and decided that OLED was the way to go. It's used for general TV watching, Sports, Streaming (Netflix and Amazon Prime Video), and recorded shows. The picture settings are very easy to change from the menu and the 4K streaming is spectacular. Wireless internet connection on 5GhZ is supported and I recommend streaming directly from the Smart TV functions if you are using wireless and have a good signal (my wireless router is 5 feet away through one wall), even though it's available through a local service provider.

Great picture quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No question about the picture quality, it is eye melting. I recommend doing a ton of researching before you buy a TV in this price range. However, after using it for 2 months, I have not seen any screen burn-in issues that is a hot topic when it comes to OLEDs. Make sure to keep the TV's software up-to-date, it has features that can help prevent burn-in. I use it almost 14 hours a day with 30% for gaming, 30% for steaming videos like Netflix/Hulu and 40% for cable. Until now, highly satisfied.

LG 55" OLED C8 TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting for several years to get a 4K TV. After researching endlessly, and changing my mind a few times, I pulled the plug and got the LG OLED C8. Of course, I also had to get a 4K Blu-Ray player, and 4K cables, etc. Well, it was worth it! The picture is fantastic! When they say that the OLED has amazing black rendering, they aren't kidding. We thought the TV had shut off. There is NO light coming from the screen when it is showing black. Of course, the colors are amazing, and the details seen on the screen put our old HD TV to shame. It was very much worth the wait.

Insane picture quality!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd OLED TV from LG. I bought their first gen curved model when it first came out and was blown away at what i saw. The comparison between it and my Samsung 4K LED was night and day. This model somehow improved on what i would have considered perfection, and made the colors even crisper, while keeping the perfect blacks that OLED is known for. These are one of the few high end electronic devices that justify their price. I was lucky enough to get a great deal on mine as an open box item at the Cranberry TWP. PA store...couldn't be happier with my purchase!

OMG OLED!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided it was time to upgrade from my 3D Samsung to 4K. The Samsung had given me great service I was ready to buy another. All my research pointed me to the QLED's. I went in to my Best Buy ready to purchase the Samsung, but was stopped. They had the Samsung QLED's and the LG OLED's side by side. Well, I instantly reconsidered my purchase decision. Make no mistake, the Samsung QLED's have bright and beautiful pictures. However, the OLED's have incredible contrast, natural looking colors, sharp and refined pictures. The dark images is where the OLED's really show their capabilities. In addition to the visual treat, I had an excellent Best Buy associate go over the features of the LG and answered all my concerns about OLED's. I purchased the LG and took it home. Setup of the TV is a breeze. You can specify your cable or satellite service so the LG remote can control the set top box. I have a Bose SoundTouch 300 connected to the TV and it uses the TV remote as well. Finally, one remote for everything. Now for some testing. So many movies have dark scenes and a lot of detail can be lost if the TV can't display it. I viewed the movie Gravity on the LG and was stunned. The amount of detail was amazing. I was concerned about the negatives I read about the OLED's screen burn in. However, LG does have technology in the TV that will prevent it. The TV is about a month old now and we have had the TV on the same channel for hours with their logos in the lower corner. My woman loves the Hallmark channel. I have not seen any image retention or burn in. It is a tough decision between a QLED or OLED. I don't think you will be disappointed with either. However, the LG certainly excels in picture quality, features and technology.

Excellent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love my new TV. Have it paired with a 4K blueray player. Holy cow! It's amazing to watch. Only issue that I have had....It likes to turn back on after I've turned it off. It turns out that if there is a software update the TV will come back on. You have to wait a minute or two after it does this for the message asking you to update to come up. It does occasionally turn back on when there is no update waiting. If I figure it out I'll up date this. Overall, easy to set up, works well with the Sonos system I have, and the picture quality is wonderful.

Awesome TV for gamers!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this TV for over a year. I was apprehensive about purchasing an OLED television for gaming because of burn-in issues associated with OLED televisions. I have played over 200 hours on one game and over 100 hours on other games. I have not experienced any problems with burn-in. The picture quality is better than any television on the market. Do not leave it paused. Turn it off when it is not being used. Refresh the pixels often. There would be no issues.

Awesome Picture Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great TV. The picture is crisp, one of the best 4K pictures I’ve seen. Even the sound quality is good. Remote with voice control. It’s loaded with apps like Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, music, photo scrolling mode, etc. In short, this tv has everything we need and want. Having owned it for about 30 days now, I’ve noticed two negatives: 1) I’ve not found a way to get the TV to connect to my secured WiFi network automatically when it powers on (I have to enter the password each time), and 2) on rare occasions, the picture rendering will raster, requiring me to back out of the app I’m using, go back in, and resume watching. If it weren’t for these two issues, I would have given this TV 5 stars.

AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is like no other I've ever seen. The clarity and the true black are just outstanding! The small details you never noticed before you'll start seeing. The screen absorbs light in the manner that it doesn't have the multi color star affect from a light being on in the room but it does still show the reflection of a light/lamp. Most of the time I don't notice it though. I have a surround sound system but I did listen to the regular tv speakers and in my opinion they're pretty good by themselves (a lot better than any other tv I've owned). I have read a few reviews about it being too dark or too much for someone to want to deal with as far as tech.... apps and other setup/settings options. It does come with (or at least mine did) the picture initially being very dark. Remember this is true black and not the "grey" we're use to seeing. But, that's why it has (many) menu's and setting options you can adjust to get it how you like it for you and your room. It took me a little while to figure out and go through all the settings and getting it how I like it. To me that's just part of the excitement of getting a new piece of tech. Some might see that as a bad thing but not me. I'm a guy so no I didn't read the manual... to begin with. A couple of shows I watch are darker than others for some reason but I'm blaming that on the tv network and not the tv. Basically I just change the brightness for those couple of shows. To me its not that big of a deal. It has many apps already installed on it and an app store you can get many more from. I know this is kind of a long review but I just can't say enough about how impressed I am with this LG OLED. I've had it for 3 weeks as of this review and I (my son and anyone else that stops by) am still amazed every time I look at the picture quality. Once you see this one you will look at every one else's tv and think to yourself (man my picture quality is outstanding compared to this). Yes it's pricey but I think it's well worth it.
