Maybe my favorite feature is that I don't have to worry about charging my 3D glasses but instead just wearing them and go (it came with 2 pairs). My least favorite is that the 3D app or channel on LG store was removed and had (since it's gone now) very little free content and it was meant to make you spend, and spend...Samsung is way better on this field except for the glasses. The magic remote is awesome and you can actually set to control to cable box and other devices as well depending on what HDMI input is being used. The picture attached was taken at an angle to give an idea of how slim it is and the viewing angle which is nice.

I would actually like to thank Sony. After two XBR55X900C light bleeding issues and two return trips to the store I made the decision to go with an LG 65UF9500. Not only was I disappointed with the sony tv I also want to point out that Sony customer service declined to service the light bleeding issues stating that was how the panel was designed. WHAT??? Come'n mannnn !!! 2 thumbs down!!
Now as for my review of the 65UF9500? Best picture in its class. Sound is great. UI couldn't be any easier.. flick of the wrist easy. A++ for design. Thin bezel makes this tv hard to keep your eyes from wondering off. If you're looking for a great tv worth every penny you spend then find your nearest BestBuy and pick this up!!!
Oh I definitely have to give BestBuy a shot out in regards to their price match guarantee. 3 weeks later seen that the tv went on sale for 1k cheaper I was able to get a price adjustment no questions asked!!

I bought this TV in January of 2016. The Geek Squat mounted the TV on my wall. They came right on time and they were done in less than 2 hrs. They did an amazing job. This TV is simply Excellent! I had other smart TV's before. I switched from Samsung to LG and i couldn't be more satisfied. The colors are incredible and the sound is great. I don't need a sound-bar at all. I recently watched a 3D movie on this TV and it was amazing. Love, love this product. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful TV! Great 4K upscaling and passive 3D!

I had a plasma TV I was looking to upgrade from and although I really wanted another plasma, given that the manufacturers have pretty much dropped the plasma tech, I knew I'd need to look for something that would give me a similar picture quality (and hopefully better) along with the 4K upscaling feature and 3D. The number of manufacturers making passive 3D TV's is limited, so I narrowed my search down to LG. I wanted to be able to use the same 3D glasses from the theaters at home without having to buy the more expensive glasses and charging them. When I narrowed down my search, I went to Best Buy to see the models in person. That is when I found THIS model (LG 65UF9500) as an open box on display. The reduced price was the same as what I was willing to pay for the next model down, so I decided to chance it for the added bonus of the Ultra HD and better guts. I did purchase the extended warranty just in case because I was leery of the open box. The TV was delivered and everything was great! I was worried about all the troubles others have reported with the odd lighting effects, but I have not had those issues. That was another nice thing about buying the open box item, I saw exactly what it looked like in the store powered on. I waited a couple months before posting my review because I wanted to see how things went. This is an amazing TV and I love showing it off, including the 3D. You need the right size TV, the 4K guts, and the passive 3D I think to really sell 3D to others. The TV has a YouTube app (and Amazon) and it streams the 4K free content great! I have a unreliable internet connection and had low expectations... but the 4k streaming worked great. I have not tweaked the settings much other than a few recommendations I found online from a/v forums. With the newer 2016 models announced, if you are looking for a great TV without paying a small fortune for OLED, this is the next best thing to consider for the price. I have mine wall mounted at eye level (don't mount it above a fireplace up high, the angle isn't optimal... I don't know why people like to do that). I still have my old plasma tv, but I now watch everything on this new TV. I don't regret the purchase at all.

This 4K model makes my current HD discs look great but it really shines when it streams stunning 4K from Netflix and Amazon which are on-board. I am particularly pleased with the excellent 3D available via the lightweight passive glasses. The unit itself is one of the LG's nicest industrial designs. I highly recommend this model.

This LG has beautiful color as well as sound. I particularly like the type of 3D with theatre glasses that are lightweight. The graphics from video games are sharp and brilliant. I highly recommend this TV. This is my 3rd LG HD TV. They have all been great TVs and very dependable.

Really has met my expectations well. I was interested in 3D, but have grown to hate the active glasses (that just don't fit over my prescription eyewear well, are expensive, and never seem to be charged up when I need them). Not many options other than LG, though Sony has a few TVs with passive glasses. The smart interface is pretty nifty, as is the "magic remote", but I have to admit I don't use either of those too much. The picture quality is more than adequate, although the only downgrade I give it is that it seems to constantly auto-adjust the color space to match the environment, something I only seem to notice when watching sports during the day (with light coming through the window that changes), so it has been a non-issue with movies/shows at night. If I could figure out how to turn this off, I would. And this is the only knock- the menu system for adjustments is pretty non-intuitive and cumbersome. But overall, for the money, I'd definitely buy this TV again.

The TV has met my expectations. Picture quality varies from outstanding to great. From my research that should be expected based on how the video has been recorded. The web OS is easy to use and navigate with the remote that even my wife is able to use it. Overall I love the TV!

Came into the store looking to pick up the Samsung UN65JU7100FXZA. Told the sales guy I had done my research online, but was willing to hear him out on any single TV he would recommend over the one I was looking to purchase. Of course he had a TV in mind that was about $600 more than the one I had in mind. But, we took the walk and checked out the TV. He explained the differences between the models and how the price difference was justified. I then took 20 minutes to go back a forth between the TVs, check the cables in the back to make sure I wasn't getting duped by better cables, or source of input. I was not! So, I took to Amazon to price match, and actually got within $100 bucks of the price I intended to pay for the original TV. So, decided to take the plunge.
The TV, like any other was delivered and set up by the Best Buy techs for free. Picture adjustment is necessary to match expectations, watching preference, and general room configuration, again this process is necessary on any TV and can be tedious.
The WebOS is a very nice operating system, I however have everything hooked up through a receiver and am not returning the audio signal out of the TV.. So I cannot use any of its apps or features. Not the TVs fault, but something to be aware of. If you are routing all of your sound TO a receiver you will not be able to use the audio OUT of the TV unless you hook up a TOSLink (Optical Cable) OUT of your TV, INto the receiver.
3D on the TV is SPECTACULAR!! I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of 3D on native movies and non 3D movies. I will not be using it a whole lot. However, if it is a selling point for you.. THIS IS THE ONE!!
I do have the "Ghosting.." or "Light bleeding" issue on the edge of this TV. I did read that this is a downside of edge lit LED TVs and is going to be a systemic problem no matter the model, make, or $$$. I am a plasma TV guy that got his 65" TV broken by his 2 year old's Big Bird Truck Toy.. Was not happy about having to shell out 3K on anything... That being said, I do like this TV, it is feature rich, the picture is great, the WebOS is fantastic, 3D is impressive, and I am overall very pleased with my purchase.

Read all reviews for this TV and Samsungs UN65JS5800FXZA TV. I saw Samsung's TV many times and was all set on buying it until I saw the two side by side and heard the sound difference between the two. The LG was by far the superior set in picture quality and sound. The remote was much more easier to use on the LG also. The sound was designed by Harman/kardon and you have an option to set the sound up depending on if you hang the TV on a wall or the sound enhancing base. Also, the 3D is great, the glasses are light as a feather, they don't need any batteries and this 3D set doesn't give me a headache or migraines like the sets with the battery glasses does.

Love, love, love this television! The 4K picture is phenominal- super crisp and sharp. I'm so blown away with the picture quality that I still sit down and watch demo videos sometimes...lol. The controller uses the computer mouse technology so you can just point it at the tv and select different settings. It even has a scrolling wheel for faster maneuvering. It takes almost no time at all to change to and from different input settings. I'm not sure I could ever go back to a normal controller after using this one. The web OS 2.0 tops anything I've seen in any of the higher end smarts tvs I've owned up to this point. So happy with this purchase!

There's lots to say here. First it's an amazing device, ahead of its time. That's not 100% great. To really see how great it is you need the right content and that content is hardly available yet. Netflix has about 12 things. In the store they never show you regular cable or programming. They show you amazing videos, which are great, but 99% of your life you're watching HD via cable or dish or internet. Once content catches up I know it will be amazing. I bought this having not even seen it. The techs knew what I wanted and would spend and they said this had to be the one, and I think they were right.

This TV is amazing. I replaced an 8 year old LG Plasma with this and as great as I thought the plasma was still when I got this it was just like the first time going from poor resolution to 1080P. Previous reviews have talked about light bleed from the sides on the black parts of movies. It is there but it can easily be fixed with a few setting tweaks. My only small complaint is LG Sync has problems when going from my LG Surround sound through an optical cable. But it's not a big deal just a minor inconvenience.
