Where to start... First, this TV is GORGEOUS ! This thoughtful design integrating slim, sleek and elegant is outstanding in every way. The ColorPrime system excels! It is "all that" The IPS 4K Panel is a great combination to this outstanding 4K TV ( some folks are WAY too critical of what this panel offers - It's an LED TV - NOT a PLASMA TV- it also efficiently only uses $17 a year in power!) The webOS2 is superb as well. Everything works beautifully and the use integration of the LG magic remote is brilliant. The integrated LG/Harmon Kardon Sound system is great and I applaud them for getting this sound from such a slim model. Even the metal auditorium base is unified for maximum audio range and surround dispersion. I have a reference 11.1 system in that room for movies, but for casual everyday TV broadcasts, it's so very good. The up-scale system, the Tru 4K Engine Pro, is just wonderful !!! It really does a great job as we all await more 4K data sources. I so appreciate all of the highly advanced programmable parameters for each input source... So thoughtful, and for those like myself who seek perfection, this is simplified, intuitive and easy to use. I am an adamant 4K/Passive 3D enthusiast. This combo on this TV is THE STANDARD for home use. Both immersive and bright ! I truly can't say enough about this TV except, it is outstanding in every way!!! This Flagship model delivers. 5 Stars? YOU BET !!!

Awesome TV and what an amazing looking product in more than 1 way. It's sleek and thin, but more importantly has a great picture quality AND the WEBOS is better than anything I"ve seen from Sony or Samsung. I'd recommend the product. I'm very happy with the TV, only ding against it is that the LG Support was less than stellar. I had difficulty pairing the magic remote with my TV. LG support took me through endless steps to take and initially offerred a free remote to be shipped, they later rescinded the offer when they asked if it was an open box item. How disappointing as I understood the support would be the same either way, but wasn't. Given the 2016 models are out, I'd highly recommend this tv at the right price point. It will compete well.

Best Features -Very Interactive Remote, Web OS 2.0 it's like going on internet and watching videos directly by typing the address ( I watch international content directly) haven't used my Apple TV ever since I bought this TV, paired with my phone etc so if I want to watch my cnn content on big screen it a click. Direct access to YouTube and Netflix Harmon Kardon speakers is a plus, makes my bedroom feel like a cinema hall.

I've had this TV for about 3 weeks now and have had enough time to fully test it. Here are my thoughts: Pros: 1.# Just an all around gorgeous looking tv. Super thin and love the white backing versus standard black back. 2.) The colors are pretty great. Sales person was telling me that it had 30% more colors and I really didn't believe him thinking it was just the videos he was showing me, but with a lot of stuff I watch I notice the difference, compared to my older sony. 3.) The operating system is the standout though. If you are looking for a smart tv this is it. All your components become apps which makes it super simple and the voice controls on the remote are great whenever you wanna search for a show or movie or even have a random question you wanna google. 4.) The upscaling on this TV is very noticeable. When watching directv to bluray to even Netflix it looks super crisp and clear. Looks pretty close to 4k although not quite as good. 5.) 3D is also another standout. WOW. Never thought I would like 3D until I watched a few movies in 3D on this TV and it looks incredible. My 4 year old sony has 3D but no where near as good as this. Looked even better than movie theater 3D. Really impressed with that feature. Only con I have is I cannot watch 4k videos on amazon instant video. Called LG about this because amazon has the biggest selection of 4k content and they said in about a month they will have an update. But as of right now, can only watch 1080p stuff :# Overall I am very satisfied with the TV. If I notice anything else I like or any other issues I'm have I will update my review. But as of now I recommend this TV. Especially for the price, love Lg now because they are significantly cheaper than the rest.

This TV is beautiful. Very high end quality build. Features are great. The internet is fast. At this time I don't have any 4k content so I havent seen any actual 4k on this TV but the upscaler and quality of this tv is great. I have an LG 1080p TV and I can tell the picture quality is better on this TV watching the same content from the same source. It was pretty much plug and play for me. I thought it looked great right out of the box. TV is thinner than alot of smart phones. I think the only step up from this in the LG line would be to go with the OLED but the price on this was much more manageable.

Best 65 inch UHD Flat TV

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I wanted a 65 inch high end TV that is not OLED(Sorry, Cant afford), and have gone though substantial online research and reviews before deciding on this beast. My finalists were this TV and Samsung UN65JS8500 with similar specs and price. The price of Samsung was dropped to 2 grands this thanksgiving, and Micro Center sells this LG TV for the same price though it is bit expensive at Best Buy. So, make your research for the best deal.. Before you even read the review, my two cents when some one who goes to a store to buy a TV. If they see all the TV's from various brands along with price, they might commit with Samsung which have good contrast and brightness by default or with cheaper Vizio. LG might just end up being the second or third choice. However, If a person does more research and goes into the finer details and specs, he might opt for LG. Lets now get into the review. Please keep in mind that I will compare this TV with its close competitor - Samsung UN65JS8500 at several places. DISPLAY: This TV comes with PRIME feature (Nano crystal with Color Gamut) which means it displays more colors. This is same as Samsung's SUHD series of TV's that use Nano Spectrum. Colors are brilliant in this TV. Buying this TV is a far better choice than opting for non prime models like UF7700 or 8500. SOUND: This TV used Harmon Kardon speakers with 60W output. Sound is the best in this TV. Most of the TV's have 20W including Samsung sets. The Samsung JS8500 has 40W, but the sound is far better in LG. However, If you still need a true surround sound experience, you must go for a good soundbar (5.1 series) or a home theatre. You might probably be good with thisTV speaker instead of going for a 2.1 soundbar. Vizio currently sells 5.1 channel sound bar for 2 grands and it complements well with this TV. OS: LG Operating System for Smart TV (WebOS 2.0) is the best. The Magic remote that comes with LG is superior and the moment you start playing with it, you wouldn't want to go with other TV brands. Its super fast and efficient. Its is better than Samsung's Tizen OS or their Smart remote which has lesser buttons. PANEL: All LG sets use IPS panel for good viewing angle. This is a very good advantage when you watch TV with large groups of people sitting at corners or other angles. This however affects the contrast and black levels and this is the main difference between LG and Samsung TV sets. Samsung does not use IPS panel and have either average viewing angle. They have a great contrast and black level. I heard SONY and VIZIO also have poorer viewing angles. So, the choice is left to the buyer. PORTS: Both the TV's have 4 HDMI and 3USB slots. DESIGN: The TV is super this at about 1.9" and its thin bezel lining and white back layout gives it a superior look all together. UPSCALING: This is for upscaling from 720 or 1080p to UHD. The upscaling is good for 1080p but average for 720 pixels and below. I heard Samsung TV's have better upscaling. 3D: LG uses active 3D, whereas Samsung uses Passive 3D. Whats this means to an average user is that you can use cheap theatre glasses for LG, and for Samsung, you need special expensive glasses that are heaver and have batteries in them. Active 3D's have better clarity, but this should's be of a big difference given the opinion that Passive 3D's employ lighter glasses that are far easy to use. I can get into more details , but on the whole, if you looking out there to buy a 65" UHD TV, then this is the winner compared to its closest competitor Samsung. Check out the ratings in the November edition of Consumer Reports. Both the TV's have the score of 75, but the sound system gets a huge nod for LG.
