LG S95TR THE MOST AMAZING SOUNDBAR SO FAR
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just purchased lately and the set up was really fast. The sound quality is superior. I thought LG is producing soundbars that are not competitive to others as noticed also from the reviewers in the youtube vloggers. Well, they are wrong. I find it more amazing than i thought. The LG dolby atmos is superior when watching netflix movies with atmos on it when your using the HDMI earc. The LG app thinQ is outstanding. You can do whatever you want, from tuning and choosing the sound quality. One thing i noticed is that when your using the HDMI eearc and your watching movies and your trying to lower the volume, the subwoofer is producing muffled sound. But thats only when your lowering down the volume. But when you switch to bluetooth connection instead of hdmi that is a different story now. It turns out the subwoofer to have more punching effect and really deep bass effect and i really enjoys it. The perception for others that the more output power the more the best. Well its not,,,others lack of sound quality if you have keen ears… but the this unit producing outstanding quality sound effect even just only 670w power output. And its not expensive by the way comparing to others..The DTX is superior also when playing music from spotify and others. Choosing the right sound effect depends on you. For me, when playing music i love the “deep bass” effect because for me its producing equal sound quality with bass. Pros: superior quality, dolby atmos, dtx, wowcast, etc. Cons: none so far….

Awesome sound quality with ease of setup.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned several sound bars in the past and this sound bar puts them all to shame. It bar far out performs all of them hands down. I don't even know were to start with the review. From the sound quality to the ease of setup to the looks this system blew me away. It's worth every penny and then some. If you are looking for an awesome sound system for your T.V this is the setup you are going to want to get. So also just a heads up i do own an LG T.V also so i don't know if that's why the setup was so easy, but i imagine owning both the same brand probably had something to do with it. But not to knock it the setup of the soundbar with everything the rear speakers to the sub was as simple as plugging them in as directed in the directions and powering on the soundbar. The remote with my LG T.V also is able to control the volume on the soundbar so that is a bonus. The sound settings are easy to get to and change to your liking. I big bonus is the sound bar has Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision built right into it. It also has DTSX another feature is you can control it with Spotify. I dont use that but just wanted to add that in if you do use that feature. It's got some great bass with it's 670 watts and its a 7.1.3 channel setup. One feature i wanted was the LQ orchestra but when i bought my LG T.V i did not know it was only on certain models of the LG T.V but that was my own fault i should have looked into that feature more. So I'm super bummed that the T.V Did not support it because it was one of the features i was really looking forward to trying out. I can not even remotely state how impressed with the sound quality i am. In the end i can not recommend this sound bar enough. This sound bar will make you want to watch those movies like Jurassic park, King Kong and Transformers again and again with the sound just literally blowing your mind.

Amazing Soundbar Package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG S90TR 7.1.3 soundbar is an excellent choice for a well rounded surround sound experience. The S90TR comes well packed inside a rather large box, and comes with just about everything you need to get up and running. Setup is a breeze because the sub woofer and surround speakers are wireless. So as long as you have an outlet nearby, you can put them wherever you want. LG has their own soundbar app, so you will need to download that first to get up and running. After a quick firmware update I was up and running in just a few minutes. I already had another soundbar setup for surround, so this was very quick for me to do. Sound is always subjective, and what sounds good to me may not sound good to you, but I will say that the S90TR sounds amazing out of the box, but I highly recommend running the sound calibration through the app and compare the before and after. And you also have the ability to EQ this soundbar, but you only get three channels, Treble, Mid, and Bass. I'll take it, because in my experience with several other soundbars, this is rare. The center and main channels fire up, which helps lift the sound. I was worried at first because my TV floats on the wall just above it, but I quickly realized this was a non issue, and was relieved how well it sounds. The S90TR has plenty of power too. Top Gun Maverick sounds phenomenal on this setup. The LG Soundbar app gives you access to all the settings, and there are a ton of options, One minor issue with this is I found that some of the more common settings I use are buried in sections I wouldn't associate with the previous option. I guess what I'm saying is that there is bit of a learning curve to it. AI Sound Pro is supposed to automatically select the best sound option for what you are listening to, but I found that Cinema works best for me in all situations. Maybe this is because I have bumped the bass up quite a bit via the sub woofer setting and EQ. I found that AI Sound Pro sometimes washes out the voices in the movies. That's why I keep in on Cinema Overall it's quite an impressive home theater solution. It's literally a home theater in a box.

Good Sound Quality with some Shortcomings
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By the specs this soundbar should really rock the house down. It supports Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, WOW Orchestra if your LG TV supports it, two wireless remote speakers and a wireless subwoofer to provide a 3D sound field using 13 speakers. In reality the sound quality is good with better than average surround sound but the bass is weak. Set up is simple, everything attaches wirelessly with minimal intervention but relying on cryptic LEDs vs a display makes operating the soundbar less friendly. There is a lot to like about this soundbar but it also has some shortcomings that can be disappointing. The speakers in the soundbar provide solid mids and highs with the up-firing speakers creating a noticeable 3d affect. The lack of bass became apparent while playing the opening scene from Top Gun. The subwoofer lacks the ability to provide punchy deep bass which instead comes out slightly muffled. Bottom line is the subwoofer sound quality is a notch below the sound quality of the soundbar. The lack of a display or the ability to use your tv to configure the soundbar can make configuring and operating the soundbar more frustrating than it needed to be. Instead of a status display it has a set of LEDs that can be very difficult to interpret unless you have the manual in your hands. LG does offer voice command assistance and the LG Soundbar mobile app, but a status display would have provided better help especially for those not familiar with the soundbar or app. The subwoofer is side firing which means the left side as its facing you has to be open to provide bass. If you plan on putting it alongside a credenza it can only sit on the left side facing outward. LG gives you total control over the volume and tonal quality of the soundbar and remote speakers using the LG Soundbar app. There are eight pre-set equalizers you can select from as well as set the overall treble, mid-range and bass frequencies. I found that the Cinema preselect offered the best sound quality, but I also increased the subwoofer volume and soundbar bass to try to add some oomph to the sound effects. The app also allows you to control the volume on specific speakers to give you total control over the overall sound stage. The remote is a lot like the LG TV remote with its high polished black plastic case. It is functional and simplistic. You can change the volume and mute, select the input source, change the preset equalizer and tonal quality. When doing this you have to rely on the voice assistant or cryptic LEDs to know what you are changing. The soundbar supports Alex and Google assistants as well as Airplay 2 and Chromecast. You can also stream to the soundbar using Bluetooth or Tidal or Spotify services. The soundbar is reasonably attractive but the front grill isn’t the sturdiest and under the right light mine shows ripples and inconsistencies in the grill. SetUp: Connecting the wireless speakers to the soundbar is straight forward and worked flawlessly. Once I plugged in the remote speakers and sub I plugged in the soundbar which then found the wireless speakers and automatically paired with them. There is a green LED on each speaker’s back to let you know its paired with the soundbar. Once all the speakers were paired I added the soundbar in the LG Soundbar app. The soundbar has an HDMI, HDMI eARC/ARC port, a USB-A port and a fiber optic input. I used the provided HDMI cable and connected the eARC ports on the soundbar to my TV. Once connected the soundbar and TV worked in union with no issues at all. Using the LG Soundbar app I tried to perform the AI room configuration but for whatever reason it wouldn’t work for me. Because the Soundbar app gives you total control of each speaker’s volume I was able to set up the audio quality to maximize the sound fields from my viewing area.

Easy to setup and amazing sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound bar system. It comes in large box and very well packed. Setting it up was pretty easy. I setup the bar on my table bellow my TV, then the subwoofer to the side and I mounted the two surround speakers on the back of my couch using some standard speaker stands (the surround speakers are not heavy at all and have a standard threading on the back). The surround speakers and the subwoofer connect to the soundbar wirelessly, however they do require to be to connected to a power outlet (each come with their own power cables). Then I plugged everything to power and turned the soundbar on. All the devices paired automatically without a hitch. You can use the remote to control the soundbar from here, but I highly recommend you download the app to give you the most control and more importantly, calibrate the soundbar. Upon launching the LG soundbar app, it first checked for a firmware update. I did the Ai room calibration. It uses your phone's mics to calibrate the sound system depending on the acoustics of the room you have it. I feel that this is a must and must be done ASAP to get the best sound out of the sound system. Then you can use the app to completely control the Soundbar. There are several sound modes, however I liked the Ai Sound pro mode the best. Its kind of a set it and forget it mode. It uses Ai to analyze what you are watching and equalize on the go. There are also settings like you can change the levels of the individual speakers (like the center, surround etc), here lies a very hidden setting at the bottom, where you can turn on surround sound up mixing. So if you are watching a show that is only stereo let say, you can make it surround sound by up mixing. This works very well. I tried it on a soccer game and I could feel the pitch and stadium sounds all around me. Now onto connectivity. The sound bar has a great feature, where if you have any of LGs latest Oled 4 series (B4, C4, G4) the soundbar can pair wirelessly to your TV and it can use your TVs speakers as additional speakers to improve sound. I like the second feature, however I would still plug in the soundbar via ARC HDMI to pass video and sound signals as digital HDMI is the best quality. The bar has an ARC HDMI port and a secondary port you can plug in any device (like a Blu-ray player, game console etc). Its HDMI port supports several gaming features like 120hz, VRR, ALLM, however with some caveats. It appears it does not have the full bandwidth of HDMI 2.1. As it can only do 120hz with 8 bit (so forget about HDR gaming at 120hz, 10 bit color is required for thru HDR gaming). So If you have a modern gaming TV with 120hz, VRR HDR/Dolby Vision, I highly recommend you plug in your game console/PC to your TV's 120hz ports directly if you want the best picture quality and send the sound only to the soundbar using Earc. Sound wise, the sound is amazing and I feel enveloped by it on my TV room. Because the bar has up firing speakers, you can enjoy of positional audio like Dolby Atmos or DTS X. Plus the surround speakers on the back too. The subwoofer is powerful enough and rumbles my room. They also include a basic remote, an HDMI cable and some brackets and a template to wall mount the bar. I barely used the basic remote, as one I paired the bar with the phone app, I just used that. Highly recommend this bar if you want to enjoy superb involving sound. I tried also 4k blurays with Atmos and DTS X tracks and they sound amazing. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Some PROS and CONS +++PROS+++ +Fast and easy setup. +Wireless surround speakers. +Wireless SubWoofer. +Easy to calibrate, using the LG soundbar app with your phone. +Amazing envolving audio. +Supports modern positional audio formats (like Dolby Atmos, DTS X). +Up firing speakers. +120Hz, VRR and ALLM supported (with some caveats). ---CONS--- -Only one additional HDMI port. -HDMI 2.1 ports are not the full bandwidth required to fully support 120Hz, VRR and 10 bit HDR. I was able to make it work at 120hz, but reducing color to 8 bit.

Excellent high-end soundbar for LG TV's
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The LG S90TR sports a sleek and modern design that easily blends into any home decor. The soundbar itself is slim and elegant, with a sturdy build that feels premium. The wireless subwoofer is compact yet robust, allowing for flexible placement without compromising on sound quality. The overall design is both aesthetically pleasing and functional, ensuring it fits seamlessly into any living room setup. It may be slim on the outside, but it is a beast on the inside that outputs a whopping 670W of power. Setting up the LG S90TR is a breeze. The included instruction manual is clear and straightforward, and the soundbar can be up and running within minutes. I have an LG TV that I use in my game room and maybe because it was an LG TV made the soundbar easier to setup than I anticipated. The soundbar takes advantage of LG’s WOW Orchestra features which integrates the soundbar with the TV’s existing speakers so you can also take advantage of the TV speakers to add to your soundfield. I can’t wait for football season this fall to experience the surround sound on this setup. The soundbar supports various connectivity options, including HDMI eARC, optical, Bluetooth, and USB, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of devices. The wireless subwoofer pairs effortlessly with the soundbar, eliminating the need for cumbersome cables. The sound output on this soundbar is amazing. The 7.1.3 channel configuration delivers a rich and immersive audio experience. The Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support provide a sense of height and spatial awareness that is often missing in traditional soundbars. Whether you're watching an action-packed movie or listening to your favorite music, the soundbar produces clear highs, detailed mids, and powerful lows. The wireless subwoofer adds a significant punch to the low-end frequencies, enhancing the overall soundstage. The rear speakers are also truly wireless, without the need for a a special receiver. In terms of performance, the LG S90TR excels in delivering a theater-like experience at home. The soundbar's ability to produce distinct audio channels creates an enveloping soundscape, making you feel like you're in the middle of the action. The adaptive sound control adjusts the audio settings based on the content, ensuring optimal sound quality for movies, music, and TV shows. The LG S90TR is equipped with several smart features, including voice control compatibility with Google Assistant, Apple AirPlay 2, and Amazon Alexa. This allows for hands-free operation and easy integration into a smart home ecosystem. The soundbar also supports LG's AI Room Calibration, which analyzes the dimensions of your room using the built in microphone and automatically optimizes the audio settings for the best possible listening experience. The LG S90TR 7.1.3 Channel Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer and Rear Spears, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X is a top-tier soundbar that delivers on its promise of an immersive audio experience. Its impressive sound quality, smart features, and elegant design make it a great addition to any home entertainment setup. If you're looking for a soundbar that can elevate your audio experience to new heights, the LG S90TR is definitely worth considering.

Outstanding sound system for LG set ups
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve always liked the concept of soundbars. The idea that you can have theater-quality sound in your living room with a simple set up has always been appealing to me. Unfortunately, the execution has been somewhat lackluster given the interfaces between devices. Some systems just aren’t 100% compatible with each other and it makes for a disappointing experience. They have complicated interfaces and extra cabling that you have to hide. Fortunately, the LG S90TR Soundbar is a wireless system and set up is a breeze. I am actually in the midst of redoing my office setup so adding this system into my entertainment area was perfect timing. I connected the soundbar system with my 65” LG 4K TV and started watching various videos to try out the various features. Here are the things I really liked about this system. Easy Setup - To say this system is easy to install is almost not enough to convey the simplicity of it. If you follow the power-up instructions (rear speakers, subwoofer, then soundbar), you shouldn’t have any issues with the system connecting the way it should. I think within about 30 seconds (probably less) the rear speakers and subwoofer were connected to the soundbar. It is a ‘wireless’ system in that there are no speaker wires that have to be run. Each piece has its own power cable, but they don’t have any large power adapter attached to them so they are easy to hide. App Connected System - Even though the system comes with a remote, I really enjoyed the LG Soundbar app, too. It provides the user with an option for updating firmware as well as being able to see what mode you were using. There is no display on the front of the soundbar so it’s hard to tell what setting you are using without the app. I love being able to switch effortlessly between mode with a simple tap. Sound Output - The sound quality is very impressive. I have a hearing impairment, which makes it difficult for me to hear dialogue and other higher pitched sounds. This soundbar system produced clear sound and I was able to discern voices from other background sounds. One thing that helped a lot was the Clear Voice Pro preset mode. It brought the vocal track to the front and dropped all the other sounds to the background. This was great for me and my fiance said it didn’t make her experience less enjoyable. It was a good measured preset as were the other modes we tried. Powerful System - I have been very impressed by the power behind this system. It has a total of 670W, which is a little less than the previous soundbar I was using, which had a total of 800W. But, this LG system provides features such as 3D spatial sound, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, which make it sound and feel like a much more powerful system. I would not hesitate this to anyone looking to make an upgrade in sound systems. It has a sleek design and comes equipped with a lot of valuable features that can benefit anyone looking to enjoy theater-like sound in their home.

670w of POWER
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me tell you, the LG S90TR soundbar is the holy grail for movie nights at my place. It's like they ripped the speakers out of the cinema and plopped them right in my living room. Films are insane now. With 7.1.3 channels pumping, it's like I'm sucked straight into the action. You hear whispers creep up behind you, explosions that thump your chest – it's mind-blowing. Hooking it up was a breeze, especially since my TV is an LG OLED too. No more tangled wires, just pure cinematic magic. Speaking of magic, the LG WOW Orchestra tech is some seriously powerful stuff. It creates this massive, rich soundscape that washes over the whole room. It's like the sound isn't trapped in the soundbar anymore, it just fills the space, making everything feel way more real. And don't even get me started on Dolby Atmos and DTS-X. That unlocks a whole new level of immersion, with sound coming at you from all directions. Now, let's talk bass – because this thing thumps with a whopping 670 watts of power. It'll rattle the windows (but in a good way), all while keeping the sound crystal clear. The wireless rear speakers are the secret weapon here. They add layers and depth to the sound, without the nightmare of speaker wire snakes slithering everywhere. The soundbar uses some fancy AI tech to automatically adjust the sound for my room's acoustics. Doesn't matter where I'm sitting, I know I'm getting the best possible sound. Overall, the LG S90TR soundbar is the king of the castle. It's a breeze to use, looks sleek next to my LG TV, and absolutely destroys my old sound system. If you're on the hunt for a soundbar that can shake your whole house, this soundbar is where its at.

Excellent, immersive sound bar
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As much as I love a good action movie, when watching one, I need that immersive sound you get from a movie theater. The LG S90 TR sound bar gets me there in the comfort of my own home without all the wires of my previous surround system. Unboxing the system, the feeling of quality is immediate, from the heft of the sound bar to the build quality, everything feels very well made. LG includes brackets that allow you to mount the sound bar directly to your compatible tv. The surround speakers and subwoofer include small little lights that show whether they’re connected (green) or not (red). The surround speakers have standard screw holes that allow them to be mounted from the back or bottom. When using this with a compatible LG tv, you get three features which LG calls WOW Orchestra, Interface and Cast. The Cast feature allows your sound bar to wirelessly connect to your LG tv and Interface allows you full control of the sound bar with the tv remote and you can see it on screen. With Orchestra you get the benefit of your tv and sound bar together to add even more depth. When dialing in the perfect sound you get eight sound effect modes with one being an AI mode that optimizes your sound for whatever you’re watching. The S90TR is an excellent sound bar that adds that movie theater sound especially when combined with a compatible LG tv.
