We had a similar dryer prior to this and are very happy with the performance so far.

So far so good! If you have the sister Washing Machine, they will communicate and the dryer will be set for the appropriate dry cycle based on the wash cycle used. Kinda cool. The one reason i didnt give it 5 stars is because the door latch seems flimsy. This is an exact replacement for a 15 year old predecessor and it had a more robust latch. It also has a flow sensor that i tested out before cleaning my vent. It told me it needed to be cleaned. After cleaning it, which wasn't really clogged, the flow was fine. GREAT FEATURE! I recommended it highly.
Read before buying... LG dryers are a poor gamble.

Our family purchased a newly constructed home back in December 2024 and needed new appliances for our new home. We purchased an LG washer and dryer and refrigerator, a decent amount of coin spent with this company. Our washer was delivered damaged, which Bestbuy was able to exchange for another unit, but our LG dryer has been nothing but problematic from day one.
We have had an error code (D80) show up on the display for the majority of loads dryed since delivery and installation. According to the manual (and online intel) this means the 80% of the ventilation/airway is obstructed, which therefore hinders the dryers performance, and may possibly damage the dryer longterm. There are steps (provided from LG and other online resources) on how to troubleshoot the issue to resolve the error code. We have tried everything listed, multiple times, to try to get this code to stop popping up and go away. Our lint trap and housing is free ftom dirt/debris, our laundry room is well ventilated, the vent hose is not pinched or kinked in any way, and the outside air vent port is visibly allowing air to exit. We checked everything.
We contacted LG for assistance under warranty because we feel that there is a faulty sensor installed on our unit, which appears to be a common issue according to other purchase reviews. We contacted LG and did some quick troubleshooting with them; they then stated that before they'd send out a tech for support that we needed to have a professional vent cleaner come to our home and clean out our vents. They said that almost 90% of the time this error occurs due to a clogged vent. The said the'd reimburse use up to $100 for this service, if this was not the issue.... it's a brand new house that's been through multiple inspections (some I witnessed first-hand), I can see air exiting the exterior vent, and frankly a clogged vent is not the issue... also, this service will cost more than $100 dollars to have done.
So... we are currently stuck with a poor quality defective dryer, LG is demanding that we pay extra money to have an unnecessary service performed to our home while their defective product is the entire problem, they wont pay for the full cost of the service they demand we have done before they do anything about the busted dryer, and we'll be forced to take time off work to have these multiples service calls performed.
Could anyone buy a defective unit from any brand straight out of the box? Absolutely, it happens... however, LG's customer service is terrible, and this seems to be a fairly common issue with their dryers. These teo factors combined should make prospective buyers think twice. We spent a few thousand dollars on their products in one sitting and they couldn't care less, they pocketed our money and aren't concerned on how this impacts their customers. I will never buy another LG product, I regret giving them any business, and I hope you all save yourself the trouble, as you could easily get a dud just like us...
Hi there, KenP. We appreciate you sharing your experience with the D80 error code on your DLEX4000B dryer. We understand how your situation this can be, especially in a brand-new home where you’ve already inspected the vent system.
This error typically indicates restricted airflow, but since you've checked all common causes, we recommend trying the Flow Sense test by running an Air Dry cycle and checking if the exterior vent flaps open fully. If the issue persists, a service visit may be necessary to inspect the unit’s internal components.
