15 year old Maytag dryer was just not working like it use to. This one performs very well and WiFi feature is great. Matches my LG washer I got last year. Hoping this dryer last as long the Maytag did.

Bad Paint LG Dryer

I am very happy with the dryer and the features. I have had this dryer less than 2 years. When you open the dryer door, the opening that goes into the dry now has paint that is starting to peel. It is a white dryer and the paint feels like rubber in small pieces. You can now see areas of bare metal. It should be baked in enamel, but isn't, and should not be doing this when it is less than 2 years old. I have a protection plan and will insist it be fixed with the amount of money I paid the washer/dryer set with pedestals.

I thing this is a great dryer and a good value. Delivery was delayed four time because of the weather, poles vortex. Iwoud give it 5 stars if I can get it to connect to home WiFi.

Paint around rim comes off

We purchase this product July 2019, in Aprio of 2020 we noticed that the paint around the rim was coming off. We saw the white on our dark clothes. We rubbed the rim and tha paint was coming off exposing the bare metal. I called LG and was told "I was abusing the appliance" by using harsh chemicals and other abrasive products. I politely stated that is was a dryer! There is no need to add chemicals. I was then told that we must be using abrasive materials. Well we dry towels, jeans, and the usual house stuff. I explained that this is the kind of stuff I would expect LG to design their products for. Long story short... they don't care and are not covering their product even if they are using substandard paint. IF this is the kind of attention to quality for something so obvious, I don't want to think what we are in store for with this dryer.

What a nightmare it has been Owning this washer. My husband promoted it so much I got rid of my top loader to get a front loader. You would tell me how quiet they are you can heart be here working spinning any of that. So we purchased them in September and within 2 months we had to call the Geek Squad to come out because it was shaking uncontrollably and making a horrendous sound so loud you could hear it all the way across the house. This so the Geek Squad guy came out and said yeah he knew it it was hes gone order parts having delivered and then come back once they're all here. A couple of days later I started getting deliveries of all these packages I think it totaled 6 or 7 boxes and it had something to do with the actual drum in the washer and the support things for it anyway turns out it was a $460 fix. So needless to say it was enough to a great start. As far as I was concerned they could go back. But we gave it a chance I could go on about the additional 6 calls we had to make and all the parts that had to be replaced, And then the dryer acted up I think we made a total of 5 calls on that basically I had to sell my house and I was All too happy to let them go even if it meant I was washer And dryerless. The last straw what is Geek Squad sent out the LG text and I have to tell you that was horrible the Tech showed up insulted me insulted my intelligence and within 5 minutes of being in my house I had to ask him to leave. The other Tech that came for the dryer asked me a couple of stupid questions and when I told him I put 5 dryer sheets he said oh you're only supposed to put one that's your problem and he was ready to pack up and leave so good luck to the new Owners. But since these up a year old yet I still look like my Money back on the warranty. The Geek Squad Tech did all he could do but his hands were tied we were trying to get them returned.

I have purchased LG in a number of homes. The are reliable, easy to use and work well. They dry very well and the clothes come out with a limited amount of wrinkles.

This gas dryer is very good. Easy to use. It takes a lot longer when
You use the energy saver of course. I love the wrinkle guard but you have to remember to turn it on every time. My last dryer (Whirlpool) the wrinkle guard stayed on until you turned it off. I don’t like that it lacks a light inside as I have left a piece of clothing behind in the dryer. Also not a fan of the music it plays when the
Cycle Is finished but I guess it’s better than a constant beeping.

Purchased a new dryer after having the same one for ten years. Easy to use, quiet and very fast. The wi-fi feature is great to know when the dryer is done versus having to get up and check it (hard to do with a bad knee). Overall I’m really liking this dryer.

Replaced an older dryer with this one, and bought it to match a 3-year old LG washing machine. The capacity is great -- large enough for all but the thickest king size comforters -- the lint filter is fairly easy to clean, and the styling is what you'd expect from LG. We bought the gas version, since natural gas is more common in this part of the country. I would expect that the electric version would have all the same controls but might differ a bit in its drying characteristics or effectiveness.
At first glance, the controls seem overly complicated. But if you've figured out how to change the background on a Zoom call, you'll get used to these controls pretty quickly. The main dial lets you choose the drying mode. There are multiple sensor dry modes (Normal, Bedding, Towels, etc.) and those will pre-determine the temperature setting (Low, Medium or High). Within these modes, you can select from 5 levels of dryness. I found that the normal dryness setting never gets clothes dry enough, so I'm usually picking "More" dry. Then there are a couple of manual modes (Speed Dry or Time Dry) where you can pick your own temperature and time. Note that Air Dry is a no-heat offering that defaults to 30 minutes of time and can be changed in 1 minute increments.
My wife doesn't want to risk shrinking any of our clothes (especially since I've shrunk some of her sweaters in the past) so she wants to pick the Low temperature setting all the time. But the only modes that support Low temp are Delicates, Speed Dry or Time Dry. If you select Delicates and then "Very" dry, the cycle is set for 38 minutes and while that might work fine for ladies undergarments, that's not enough time for a load of sweaters. If you instead select Speed Dry, the default is for high temp, so you have to change that to low temp, which gives you 25 minutes of default time. Then you have to press "More Time" repeatedly (or hold it down) until you get to what you really need, at least 60 minutes for that load of sweaters. So Time Dry is what she uses almost all the time. From any of the main dial modes, you can hit the Time Dry button which will pre-select High temp and 40 minutes of time. From there, you change the time -- a single press will get you 60 minutes, then you have to go up in 1 minute increments -- next you can change the temperature to Low or Medium. If you change the temp first then the time, it resets the temp back to High, which is kind of annoying.
If you're less comfortable with technology, or more likely to get frustrated trying to navigate all the different settings, then I'd recommend a more basic dryer. If you like all the bells and whistles, then you'll likely appreciate this model's smartphone notifications when your load is finished.

Great looking, runs smooth and very quiet. Dries well. Love the little musical tune it plays when it is done. So much nicer to hear than an annoying buzz. The dryer is roomier than my last one and it’s easy for my daughter to work

I love this! It was simply to hook up, runs quietly. When the load is dry, it stops instead of running until the timer runs out. It has several drying options, so there's no guesswork!

Dryer works great, was easy to install/hook up, Best Buy delivery team was excellent.
Has different settings for dryness level, I find the medium/energy saver level doesn't dry the clothes completely, So I bumped it up a notch.
Some lent and debris gets stuck in the gasket of the door instead of ending up in the lent trap, it's easy to wipe up but a bit annoying.
Overall, it works great and am very pleased with the purchase.

The dryer is really great Not cheap but reasonable for the price VS similar products. Just misses 5* because( minor issue) it will not let you heat something for less than 25 min so something that is a little damp MUST go back in for a full 25 when 10 min or 15min would no doubt do,
Another plus it is quiet and performs well Seems to be well made
Overall YES definitely recco buy it at Best Buy. and it's Made in the USA!!!
