Let me start off by saying this TV is a very hidden gem a lot of people are looking for TVs that have HDMI 2.1 with LG's game mode and also auto low latency and this TV has it all with a very low response time of 6 seconds in a huge VA 82-in screen. I couldn't really ask for more. The OS is very snappy but I will say sometimes it does tend to overwork itself by not closing the other apps in the background which has only happened once. But nothing to bother me after I open up a app. I'm not really opening four more apps after it, so that's a nitpick at this point. The brightness is all that level meaning it's bright enough to watch but it's not nothing that will blow you away as in like the h 9G or the U8G by Hisense which those TVs have 1000 all the way up to 2000 nits so it's not even fair to compare to those TVs. This TV comes in at around 500 nits HDR and 400 nits SDR after I calibrated the TV colors on this TV are very accurate by the way, reds are very red. Blues are very blues and greens are very green. Overall you get my gist very accurate now when it comes to sound this TV has dual audio with Dolby Atmos and when I tell you that this TV sound is amazing. Don't get me wrong. It's not beating any sound bars, but in terms of TV it's probably at number one. This TV sounds amazing! Moving on to quality content 4K on this TV looks amazing. There's no complaints about that when it goes down to 480p content it scales it up. Almost making it look either 1080p or 4K. Which a lot of TVs do struggle with by trying to do extra stuff. Moving on to motion on this TV. Promotion on this TV is amazing. If you want that soap opera effect that a lot of people love this TV has is it if you want just clear motion without the soap opera effect they have that. Or if you just want steel motion where it's a solid 24 frames per second, it delivers that would know hesitation. This TV destroys motion. Nevertheless, let's talk about gaming. I've already gamed on this TV for about I want to say 150 hours give or take playing FPS shooters like call of duty in Apex. Also playing third person shooters like rogue company and figer. I've also play other RPG games fallout 4 and phantom dust which phantom does is a older game in mind you, it made that older game look amazing, but that's besides the point gaming in general on this TV is absolutely phenomenal. The autolow latency mode makes the frames on this TV just so smooth giving you that optimal gaming experience, keep in mind as well. This TV has HDMI. 2.1 it's only two ports of it. One of them supports e arc but it's still ready for that. PS5 and Xbox series X and a experience oh one last thing before I forget the black levels on this TV are amazing I turned on LG's black level test and when I tell you these items stand out on the TV. The colors and everything just literally pop off the screen. The blooming on this TV is non-existent. Honestly this is the best it'll get when it comes to blooming. Overall if you see this TV on sale and grab it, it's literally the best TV for its size and for its price

Awesome TV. I want to clarify something with reviewers upset over a pure dark image not looking PURE BLACK. There are three types of LED displays. Edge lit, direct lit (this tv model, edges and center are lit) and all array. (multiple areas in the display. Normally on the higher end OLED and high-end models within the same line). Direct lit (this tv), is better than edge lit. (Edge lit is normally added into the introductory models. Does a really good job it can light certain areas of the display whether it's a center or around and sections and make them clearer and darker however be realistic, if you want a display to create pure black that shuts completely off where you do not see the lighting panel behind it go spend $3k- 5000 on a 65 inch television of the OLED brand because those are the only ones that produce a perfect black picture. Or look for an 'All array display'. Which tends to be on higher end tvs. Direct lit, is above edge lit. Also take into consideration that the bigger you go on television if the screen goes completely dark and you're watching content and lets say switching channels, you will BARELY notice it. Unless you're looking for it. Watching films, games etc is not noticeable, even in night scenes (films/games etc) Back to the review: awesome picture, images and color reproduction and I have not seen anything where the black screen lighting looks visible in films or games even Netflix streams. Even when I watched the credits of a film, the white scrolling images and black background looked nice no 'grey effect' or ghost light effect. The TV can also automatically detect when you're watching a film a that has black bars and will simply shut off the light system on top and the bottom using the left and the right side of the TV including the center to light up the image, making the black bar look pure black. I upgraded from a 2 year old nano display to this TV purely for the size and because the panel was direct lit. As well as all the updated features like 120hz panel, HDMI 2.1, and all the updates needed to take advantage of next generation system like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox X. If you're looking for something that can handle next generation systems like a PlayStation 5 this is one of the perfect models it's actually a gaming TV and can take advantage of everything they have to offer. Not only that but it can handle HDR/Dolby vision and includes the updated Dolby vision called Dolby vision AI. It also has an art mode which normally is included in the higher end LG model and I've been with LG for the past 15 years this is my 4th television from them. And I have never been disappointed. This model when something shuts off say your Netflix stream or you shut off your video gaming device it turns on the art display on, showing still images scrolling like a hung picture frame. (various ones to avoid burn in) and you can also download more images using the built in art mode app. LED televisions are less susceptible to burn ins then OLED and can handle still images like an icon, logo, game health bar etc without you worrying about a burn in. You would have to leave the image completely frozen still for over 24 hours to maybe days for it to burn in on a LED. Even than, LG has a safety measure to auto shut off when no activity is 'sensed'. The only thing this television is lacking is a Wi-Fi six support but that's a fairly new standard that only now is starting to gain traction, but not highly supported. Even than, its built in Wi-Fi is more than enough to handle 4k. If you have any stuttering when watching a stream simply just plug in directly the wireless connection and you're done. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, the control is responsive, fast, quick and this model the 2021 version they simplified the settings, making it less cluttered. The only thing I would tell people is update your television first and then mess around with the settings. You may also want to disable in the support section of the settings menu AI brightness because it uses the ambient light around it to change the picture lighter or darker. Once you shut it off, whatever setting you set it to will stay permanently that way vivid, standard etc etc and take into consideration that when you're watching something that has HDR in a stream or on your video gaming system or physical 4K Blu ray player: It goes into HDR mode which means that you have to change the settings again for it to remember it. HDR Vivid, HDR cinema etc etc The images I'm uploading right now are side angles and daytime pictures to get a general idea what to expect. Take into consideration also that I'm surrounded by windows and the only time I notice any form of reflection coming from the right side is if I'm completely to the left side of my living room, watching a pure blank screen I could very easily just roll the blinds up and it's gone and at night time no outside light is visible. If you have a lamp nearby like say on the right, left side, or anywhere within the seating area on at night time or daytime... it will reflect but that's standard with any television. After showing one of my friends this who wanted to buy a new television, he left the house, went to Best Buy and purchased the same tv after viewing it in my home.

Upgraded from Philips 65 inch with 60mhz refresh rate. Was good with my Xbox x but wanted to maximize it's potential. I had been looking for months and seen so many good and bad on all large screen TV's that I almost quit looking. Saw this 82 and saw the price. I immediately looked at the specs...impressed and the reviews....not so bad. I bought it and set it up. I was really impressed with picture and kinda with sound. Sound really started kicking when it blue toothed to my stereo. The gaming is outstanding for a TV of this size. I was concerned that it would t be good, but I was wrong. The one thing I had to do to finish it off, other than doing some setting changes, was moving the couch back a bit. So happy now. Date night is like a theater now.

Best purchase I’ve ever made!!!!! Amazing quality on my 82” tv. We are very happy it fits perfect in our home. A plus as well when you have cameras we have high quality on this Tv. Definitely recommend especially using Best Buy .

Quality TVs, good picture, interface is easy to navigate. I had an issue with sleep mode but that was easily fixed with an update. I have 2 of these mounted side by side in a conference room. The picture quality is identical between them, makes video conference calls and presentations look amazing.

Really like the TV. Was concerned after picking it up that it would be too big for our wall but ended up working out well. Is definitely heavy and need two pretty strong people to lift and hang on the wall but worth the money

This tv is amazing it’s the biggest I’ve ever gotten compared to the 65 I’ve just upgraded from it was the best investment since it supports 120hz and Dolby atmos and that massive screen

This TV is awesome. It has most of the bells and whistles more pricey large TVs have. Picture quality is excellent as well as sound quality. It’s easy to set up.

Really loving this TV and with lots features! At first I was working to go through it and little by little I’ve been finding more and more things that this TV can do! Watching movies is fun and feels like we’re at the movies with the sound bar that just adds more to the excitement!

Love the size of this unit. What I don’t like is the functionality of the home screen and remote. I can handle it but my husband has difficulty with using it. This has been a source of real frustration and I don’t know if it’s worth it. We are considering giving up the 86” LG and going to an 85” Samsung. That’s my only disappointment. Geek squad did a phenomenal job mounting the TV in our family room.

The tv picture is great! I haven't used all the apps yet. But two disadvantages for me are: 1) The alexa button with voice doesn't work very well and difficult to use. 2) getting the Ring doorbell to communicate with picture is a big negative. It takes to long or no connect at all. A big deal fo me because it should be working flawlessly. Location of internet and tv isn't the problem.

When watching 4k streaming, this TV is at its best. When not watching something 4k or better, the picture quality is just alright.

I waited until I had it for over a year before reviewing. I don’t have a single complaint. Crystal clear picture. Very loud speakers.

No issues. Love the interface. Love the remote. Love the picture. Will need a sound bar for good sound quality.

I have been looking for a new tv and this LG was on sale. I absolutely love this tv. The picture is amazing and is worth the money.

Shes beautiful ,smart reomote with voice works great everything is much clearer . The down side is cw app its the only thing obe found ot cant do
