This was a nice add on for a compact laptop without a drive. Easy setup & operation, haven't used to burn yet, but no issues with operation thus far. Great accessory for the price!

Small laptops reqire external DVD devices. I was sure I wouldn't need one and then had to have one for a specific work task. Product recommended by Best Buy staff, and it's worked well. For those times it's needed, this does the job!

Currently laptops and ultrabooks have no room for CD/DVD drive and flash media is being replacing this technology. However we still need CD/DVD to access old data. This drive is thin, light and not expensive. Really recommends.

WHY PAY MORE? THERE IS NO GOOD REASON! THIS CD/DVD DRIVE DOES EVERYTHING JUST GREAT. IT'S THE RIGHT SIZE AND WEIGHT WITHOUT ANY COMPLICATION.

We currently have this for both a Mac and PC and it works as it should for both. Its rather quiet and works the way it should. Well done LG.

Sleek and does the trick just look up how to open it because i had the worst time figuring it out the 2nd time i went to use it. i thought it was jammed but i was just rushing it. can't beat the cost !

I bought this as my new laptop doesn't have a cd/dvd drive. I copied a music cd and it worked fine, a little noisy though, but that is no big deal. Easy to install, quick to copy the cd, small in size, and the price was right.

but this came with a bundle for $20. It works great and connects to my iMac easily. If you want an inexpensive option for a dvd drive for music or just in case purposes, this is a good way to go.

This thin little drive is excellent. Works perfectly on my MacBook Pro (retina) and iMac. Since both had no DVD/CD drive I was left with either the Apple Super Drive at $80.00 or this guy at 39.00, works beautifully.

Software very easy to use. Drive very easy to hook to my laptop. Light weight. Thought I was getting a good deal and found out I needed to purchase additional software .

Nothing much to write about this External drive. It does it's job. Also it looks pretty thin and slick right next to my Imac. Very Cool. I saved some money by going with this one then going with Apples one. Mahalo

I bought this device to work with Microsoft Surface. The device works great. If you have a super light laptop or tablet with a usb port, you will love this device.

I needed an optical drive for my new 2 in 1 laptop. Great price and works fine for what I need. I did have some issues with the install, but the Geeks helped me sort it out over the phone.

It s an excelent option to the very expensive dvd writers. It is very slim and easy to use. It sucks that it is slow when burning data to a disc. But I don't really use it often so it is okay.

I recently bought an iMac and needed an external burner for the computer. I don't need it all the time but want one for when I need it. This burner was cheaper than than the Apple version and has worked perfectly.

The LG dvd drive is easy to use and portable. It is sleek. If you have a windows 8 computer make sure you have the software to support playing DVDs on this drive. I would recommend the LG brand for this product.

Does everything it should, and power by USB means only one thing to plug in. A couple of minor issues: It's a bit noisy, and it would be nice if it could be opened when the power is off.

My new computer has no cd/dvd drive. This external drive allows me to add anything to my computer from a disc. It is very user friendly, light-weight and affordable. Works great for me!
