Perfect weight and size for a laptop. It is light-weight and not a burden to carry around with you. It functions well and is a great addition to any laptop or tablet with a USB port.

The DVDrom drive on my laptop died, but I didn't feel like going through the hassle of buying a whole new computer. This is an excellent replacement, plus it's inexpensive as well. The only quibble I have with it is that it isn't plug-n-play. I had to download software from a disc that came with it. I haven't had to do that in a while. Every other accessory I have for my laptop, including the printer, just needed to be hooked up to it and voila! All set to go. But other than that, I'm very happy with it and glad I bought it. I just wish it had been easier to find on BB's website.

This LG optical drive works as expected. It's compact, lightweight and performs great. Plug and play, so it doesn't get any easier.

Overall it works great. The only complaint that I have is that I followed the directions and yet it STILL wouldn't work. So I had to drive back to Best Buy and figure out what I was doing wrong. They hooked it up to their computers and it worked just fine. They said that they actually get a lot of customers coming back and complaining about the same problem happening. It was easy to fix as well! Since my computer has no disc drive and no place to play any dvds, the lady said I needed to download (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html). Every since then it has run smoothly!

Smooth and easy - that's how this burner works! The first time I made and burned a move I burned 10 of them. It took no time at all to do so either. This is a great purchase!!!

I bought a new laptop without dvd drive which i do not use much, so this external drive fills in great. It is a great little unit and worth the money.

Easy to connect and use. If you want a DVD player for laptop which does't have CD- ROM and you don't wanna spend too much money, this is perfect for you

This is a nice slim, disk drive that does what it says it does. I used to upload software to my computer from a disk, and it worked well. No issues.

After purchasing a small form Lenovo we needed an external DVD drive. Plug and play. Easy to use. Fast. Worked perfectly!

DVD is very compact and is set up to put in any location. I purchased to be able to use with my new desktop which seems easy for use. However, I also wanted to use with my tablet, but the included wire is only set for a full USB unless a new wire will need to be purchased. This is the only part that adds to the price which was good when purchasing the desktop from Best Buy.

Great product for the price. Its a little noise but rather have noise then pay double price. Exceeds all my expectations.

Truly a plug and play. Works well and does everything it claims. I bought this DVD writer to replace an internal one that had gone bad. Does everything I need it to do.

The software installed easily and I've had no trouble with the drive. I appreciate the slim design...it fits nicely in my laptop case. Reasonably priced. Good bargain.

If your computer does not have a DVD player and you rarely need one, then this is the right one for you. It is very cheap, and it fits anywhere due to its small size. I would not recommend it if you need one constantly; this product is very loud. This will do for those who may need it here and there.

Nice lite weight external drive. Works like a charm, Installed very easy and is portable enough to carry with my laptop.

I use this for computer files and backup when I am travelling with a small laptop that does not have a built in drive. It saves space and weight in travel luggage.

There are still situations when I must have a way to view discs on my laptop. This was a relatively inexpensive drive which works very well.

With many laptops and PC's becoming for compacked for weight ,speed and performance , this lg product works amazing and the price makes it even better , go get it

This is a great product. My new laptop didn't have an internal disk drive so I had to buy an external one and this one works great and is slim and lightweight.

It's nice to have an external CD drive since I don't have a CD drive on my laptop. Good thing is that it's portable, light weight and doesn't take up much room
