    Best vacuum I’ve ever owned

This is by far the best vacuum I’ve ever owned! I’ve never had one this expensive or fancy. It’s very well made and has modern features. It came with a ton of accessaries, 2 vacuum heads (1 for carpet and 1 for hardwood), 2 batteries so you never run out of juice, 2 washable filters and a charging station. It has an extendable wand so if you plan to have the kids vacuum as a chore it won’t be too tall for them. Now on to performance... the suction is great yet it’s the quietest vacuum I’ve even used. I mean it, I thought it wasn’t going to pick anything up because it was so quite, and loudness means power when it comes to vacuums, at least in my experience. But not with this LG. I was a bit intimidated when I opened the box and saw all the parts and accessories, but a quick read of the owner’s manual and all was explained. I tried to use it before charging the batteries because I hadn’t read anything about needing to first. Wrong. It worked for several mins before it kept turning off and the battery light was flashing. Once charged we were able to vacuum my entire home on the one battery. I don’t have a huge home, but we have 2 bedrooms, a living room and I used the other brush head in the kitchen and laundry room. I would say if you’re considering this vacuum go for it! I love having a cordless and will probably never go back to corded again.

    Premium vacuum

I had a chance to try out LG’s Newest vacuum and you definitely get what you pay for here. Everything about this vacuum feels high end and great quality. The first thing you will notice when you pick up the boxes how heavy it feels for it size, this is a good thing in my opinion, it just has a premium feel to it. The actual stick vac itself is fairly light, the weight comes from the extra battery and the included charging stand. LG claims that the batteries (there are 2 included) get about 80 minutes of run time, which is more than enough run time for the average person. This vacuum is very powerful for its compact size, it’ll pretty much pick up anything in its path, I like it because you can go into portable mode and since you don’t have to plug it anywhere, it’s great for use in the car. This vacuum can also be used not only on carpets but also on the hardwood floors, portable mode makes it easy to clean up sofas and the beds as well. There are a lot of attachments included so you will always have the right tool for the job. The waste canister itself isn’t very big but can be emptied very easily. The filters are washable so they dont have to be replaced for a long time. Doesn’t take up a lot of room like traditional vacuums .

    Workhorse or Donkey?

After giving the house a couple of vacuum passes I'd like to say its a workhorse. The multiple attachments make this an all around vacuum. I would have loved cleaning my car with it but its a bit too clunky and heavy to hold with one hand (I was excited about this part). The regular bristle head gets some hair stuck in it after a couple of uses and one time it even clogged with very minimal dirt in the cup (turning off the unit which I'm sure was a safety feature). For the price I think this should have been a bit less prone to those type of regular run of the mill vacuum issues. Other than that, it can go on and on on those two batteries! the stand makes it stationary and it even has the option to be anchored into the wall. Would I recommend it to a friend? Short answer, yes. The suction and the way it takes the dirt out of the carpet is what made me give this vacuum a 4 star rating. I like deals and discounts, but for the price, speed, design, and what it does, definitely worth it!

I love this vacuum but it could be a little better! Pros: 2 batteries I’m able to use it on turbo for longer than 7 minutes (compared to my dyson) Much quieter than my dyson Picks alooottttt of my dog hair I love the vacuum accessory and stand combined (so much easier and neater) Washable filters (very easy to access too, I used to break a nail trying to get one of my dyson filters out) Adjustable handle, my 10 year old can vacuum I also don’t have to constantly press a button to power the vacuum Cons: I wish emptying the canister would be a bit easier, but I’m thinking it’s done this way because if the washable filters. I wish it came with a better attachment to vacuum couches. Lights on the bottom would be nice The motor Part could “clip” together to the rod better, it can easily fall off if not careful. Dirt bin is small All in all very good vacuum

LG - CordZero Bagless Cordless Handheld/Stick Vacuum - Matte Gray Just finished giving my floors and furniture their deep cleaning massage. There’s lots to like about the LG CordZero but with a few caveats, especially since I have a basis for comparison over a long history with cordless vacs. No denying…cordless equals freedom to move without hindrance. What’s difficult about this model is that when you need both hands to move objects, the design doesn’t afford the user a means to lock the vac in an upright position. Since the motor and the dust bin is located at the handheld top end, the user must be careful to lean the unit against a secure location or lay the unit on the floor. If a focus group was conducted during the design process, not sure how that feedback didn’t register with R+D. On the other hand, lots of versatility comes with having the many attachments to address carpet, bare floors, crevices, upholstery that you don’t get with the Shark Navigator or that you don’t expect with the robotic vacs like the Deebot, Roomba, Eufy, etc…only good for flat terrains. And, since most cordless models provide up to 20 minutes on a single battery, the luxury of up to 80 minutes via 2 lithium batteries may be worth the $699 (more or less) to some. Must bear in mind, I spent less on my electric lawn mower with four 40V batteries that I can inadvertently bump into trees and fences, turn upside down on a hill and not worry about damage; but, I wouldn’t want to expose the top heavy but very powerful LG motor and plastic dust bin housing to multiple crashes to any floor. So, not really confident about the design’s impact resistance from the height of its longest wand in a crash 3-4ft down to ceramic, marble tile or even a carpeted floor. Not sure which will crack first over time. That said, a variety of gripping positions allow me to direct the carpet attachment that flails somewhat when using the longest extension. Nonetheless, for the high amount of suction delivered, the unit is super lightweight and grips like a gun with a top mounted and easily accessed trigger. I like using the Turbo level of suction; but I now understand the six-minute time limit on its highest level doesn’t mean the battery is exhausted. Apologies if wrong but seems the time limit on the highest level of suction may be about heat management of the motor because when six minutes is done, I can continue to vacuum on the lower levels; or, maybe the operation time is reduced on other levels as well. That item was not addressed clearly in the paper manual or the very handy laminated manual that sports a small suction cup for mounting to the fridge or similar surface. Thankfully, when the attachments are connected without the long extension, I got an exceptional sense of control and balance when running the brush head over furniture or when on hands and knees cleaning carpeted stairs. One major winning feature is that the shorter hook ups and cordless design are an incredible relief for cleaning my cars and truck! And, thankfully, no replacement bag is required when the bottom of the small but handy dust bin pops open to release the dirt. Though filtration system is excellent, future replacement filters are a consideration. Excellent 10 yr warranty on the :Suction Motor" but 1 year warranty on "Workmanship Labor". Good idea to read the fine print. The unit and a couple of attachments can be stored in an upright position. But, my chair rails don’t allow for wall mount storage. BTW, if you are watching cost of electricity, be vigilant. Unplug when fully charged (2 batteries @ 6 hours when fully exhausted) since that constant charging mode in addition to all the other energy demands will blow up the monthly bill.

Not a daily driver, best for non-carpet floors

The Wife says no as a daily driver. Dust bin too small and the dust bin eject button/mechanism doesn't work that well, carpet sweeping requires device to be on Turbo, which causes the motor to become much louder (high pitch), thus also shortening the battery life. A plus is that it has two batteries, but still not enough if you have a lot of carpet. If not needing for carpet cleaning, it is a fine device and the issues above (minus the dust bin being too small) go away. Furniture cleaning doesn't require the turbo mode. We do love that there is the option to have it setup via the floor stand instead of wall mounting. The floor stand is well made, has a good design, and seems sturdy. It also has a small puck that you are supposed to attach to the wall and the floor mount bracket attaches to it. It feels a little redundant, but I can see that it is for extra rigidity when removing/replacing the vaccum, but I decied not to use it at this point as I'm not sure where the final place it sit will be. All but 1 of the attachments has a spot on the floor stand, so I guess it will just get set somewhere. Honestly, not even sure what it is supposed to do as it is not a brush, but a plastic piece, thinking it is for furniture cleanup. The manual has names for all the parts but not what this one is supposed to do. Also once the stick is undocked for use, there are no onboard spots to attach the crevice and brush tools, so you will have to carry them with you or retrieve them when needed. You will be empyting the dust bin frequently, so it probably won't be an issue. The device definitely has its strengths, mostly being in the double batteries and optional floor stand instead of the wall mounting, extra filters, and nice guides on how to clean with suction cup holder to place in a window? I can see there were some small details that where thought through, but it does feel like it is to compensate for other areas lacking. This device will be used for our basement furniture and vinyl floor cleaning, but not carpet. Would be ideal for a small apartment (1 or 2 bedroom), but whole house use, not unless you stagger your cleaning schedule. For small carpeted areas the Turbo use would be fine, but areas with a lot of carpet, the sound the motor gives off is a high pitch in turbo and really gets to you after a short period of time. I cannot say that it is bad, but you will want to think through its intended use before purchasing. Our home is 1800sqft upstairs with mix of carpet and laminte flooring and 1000sqft finished basement with vinyl plank flooring. Not touching the carpeted areas, I know I could easily do the flooring upstairs and downstairs on one battery and average changing the dust bin twice. Also disclaimer we have two small (15 and 20 lbs) inside dogs, short fur, so if no inside animals carpeted areas may do better for you, but marginally. I don't feel I can dock it more than 1 star as the manual states everything I said in my review that I find negative. Each battery at normal use should last 40 minutes, turn on the Turbo mode and leave it and you get 6 minutes run time from 1 battery. I got a little longer than advertised, closer to 10 minutes. My minus 1 star is really for not having a place to put all the attachments and the small dust bin. But like the first line states...the wife says not a daily driver.

Light, convenient and it really sucks

It’s light and it sucks. I chose this because I have a 7 & 9 year old that just can’t seem to pick up after themselves quite yet. Chips, cereal and cookie crumbs are my enemies. After they snack, I find myself getting the old broom and dust pan or I use my old noisy upright vacuum which I think is more trouble than good. This model does not come with the floor nozzle so you have to use the crevice tool for picking up bigger debris like cereal. I find that the rolling brushes tend to smash the cereal into smaller bits and pieces and gets scattered away from the vacuum, well at least that’s what my old upright vacuum does anyways. This model also doesn’t come with the punch nozzle for picking up pet hair or small debris, dust from bedding or sofas. The floor and punch nozzle is included in the in Ultimate model (A907GMS). My house is mostly hard floor with some area rugs and this model is working for me. The carpet nozzle seems to be working on both my area rugs and tile floors. There is a strip of polyester material at the bottom of the floor nozzle that kind of sweeps the floors. I had issues vacuuming my area rugs though. I found it hard to maneuver when I used the turbo mode but the normal and power mode seemed to be ok. I just had to make more passes to pick up the debris. The carpet nozzle has a low profile so it goes under most of my furniture just fine. Also, keep in mind that this unit does not stand up by itself so when you need to pause your cleaning, you have to bend down and lay it down on the floor. Ouch, my back! I wouldn’t stand it up against wall because I don’t think this can withstand a hard fall. It’s made with a whole lot of plastic. I like using this with the telescoping wand and the crevice tool and just walk around the house picking up hair and dirt. The unit weighs about 3 lbs 6 oz with the battery and 4 lbs 5 oz with the wand and crevice tool attached. The weight is okay when cleaning around ground level but cleaning above ground, like a ceiling fan, caused a bit of fatigue on my old arm. The telescoping wand is adjustable from 34.6” to 44.1” with four positive stops (34.6”, 39.2”, 40.7”, 44.1”). Adjusting the wand is effortless. It’s pretty handy for dusting ceiling fans. Attach just the crevice tool or combination tool and easily vacuum your vehicle. The suction power is surprisingly strong for a battery powered unit. I haven’t come across anything in my house that it had problems picking up, dirt on rug included. It comes with two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that can be simultaneously charged in 3.5 hours in the docking station. I noticed that when you remove the unit from the docking station and put it back without using it that the battery indicator lights will blink as if it is charging again. It has three power modes (normal, power and turbo). The power mode has a high pitched sound and more distinct in turbo mode. It has an 84db noise rating. One battery lasts about 6 minutes and 22 seconds in turbo mode and it didn’t matter what attachment I was using. I thought that using the carpet nozzle would use up more battery but it didn’t make any noticeable difference. The power doesn’t get weaker as the battery runs out but just simply turns off when it is totally drained. For large area with heavy vacuuming, I hope you can do it in 12 minutes or else you would have to wait 3.5 hours for a battery to charge. It is bagless. This can be a pro and a con at the same time. The con is that when you empty the canister, small particles, dust would fill the air. So, I would advise using a mask when emptying the canister. Also, hair would get tangled in the canister and you would have to pull them out. Yuck! The cyclone system and the filters are washable with running water and LG recommends them to be cleaned frequently depending on your use. It has a five step filtration system that cleans the air coming from vacuum and according to LG, it filters 99.99%* of dust and dirt. I like the docking station. It charges both batteries at the same time, it has storage for the unit and its tools and you have multiple ways to install it. You can mount it on the wall, self-standing or have it lay on the floor. It’s stores everything neatly and doesn’t take up much room. The only thing bad about it is that if you are not using the wand and the floor nozzle, there is nowhere to store them together on the docking station. You can barely squeeze the wand unto the tool storage. Overall, I like this vacuum. I like the convenience factor of this unit most of all. It makes maintenance and everyday cleaning a breeze. I don’t have to worry about cords and where to plug it in. Just pick it up and get cleaning done! Since I don’t have much carpet in my home, this LG CordZero will finally let me get rid of my old upright vacuum.

    Awesome Cordless Vac.

My first impression of this stick vacuum was absolutely amazing. Unit is not heavy, quiet in the turbo mode, highly maneuverable, is easily picked up and placed behind furniture, no more tethering to an electrical outlet, bagless, and seems to be made very well. This product has a telescoping capability which allows tall consumers to comfortably adjust the handle height to use this vacuum. I measure 6 feet 2 inches, and I found that after a quick height adjustment, I was able to use this product quite comfortably without any back fatigue. There are many features which I loved when using this vacuum as expanded upon below. Run times for the batteries were as advertised and came in at about 80 minutes. Just in case you have a large home, you can always use the second battery which comes standard. While using the vacuum you are able to charge the second battery on the vacuum stand. No running out of power while cleaning your home. One great feature of this vacuum is that the suction power can be tweaked if you need more or less suction. This comes in handy especially if you are cleaning throw rugs which tend to become entangled in the power carpet mechanism. I found that decreasing the suction levels enabled me to easily vacuum throw rugs. You might be wondering how thoroughly this vacuum cleans? Very well in my testing. After letting one of my "Robots" clean my home, I used this LG vacuum and was amazed at home much dust, and debris this device picked up. Awesome job at cleaning! No more worries about vacuum bags, as this unit allows for easy cannister emptying. A quick press of a button enables you to empty the contents. Is this product right for you? So far, I love my LG vacuum. Super lightweight, ease of maneuvering, extra battery, wire free operation and plenty of suction power. Definitely a winner. Purchase one, you'll be happy.

Huge amount of features and included attachments

The LG CordZero is a very versatile stick vac with plenty of innovative features and a good amount of power. There's a lot of positive things to like about this vacuum starting with the number of attachments and extras you get with it in the box. For starters, it comes with three heads, a brush head which works well on carpeting. A hard floor head that uses a soft cloth that's quiet and easy on your hardwoods. And a third head for vacuuming your cloth furniture and even your bed. All of them work really well. There's also various other attachments for getting into crevices and other hard to reach areas. I can't say enough about the included charging stand that comes with it. This is something that all other stick vacs I've ever owned have missed the boat on. This one stands up by itself which allows you to store it where it's convenient for you. You can also mount it on the wall if you like. It will not only charge your stick vac, it will charge the included extra battery at the same time. The stand is great, and you can store all the attachments on it (except for one of the heads), so you can always find the one you really need. The stand is one of the coolest things about this vacuum. The motor is very quiet, more so than all my other stick vacs. When you press the power button to turn it on, it starts out at the lowest (or standard) level. From there, you can press the “plus” button to go up two more speeds. Each is a bit louder than the last, but they are all relatively quiet. The power is pretty good although, not the best I've used, but that being said I never had a problem with it picking anything up. And I never had to repeatadly go over a section of floor to get it clean. When you take the vacuum out of the stand, the suction tube is collapsed. There's a release on the back of the tube that allows you to slide the tube to three other different lengths. It's a unique idea and it works very well. It's a smooth operation to change the tube length and it accommodates people of different heights nicely. Even though there are two batteries included, it's very rare that I need to change the battery to finish vacuuming. So the battery life is quite good for each battery. With several of my other battery powered vacs, I usually have to plug it back in to charge it again before I can finish my rooms. Cleaning it is pretty easy, and it's a bag-less system so it should be easy to just dump out the cup, but what I find is that I always have to dig around in the cup to pull everything out. That's not a good thing even though it does come apart pretty easily. One of my other vacs has a much nicer system for pushing out all the dust and lint, and I never have to get in there to clean it out. This vacuum also comes with two washable filters, which is really nice because if you wash the filter out with water, you can just plug in the dry filter and keep vacuuming. With all the features and extras that this vacuum comes with it's really hard not to like it. It's really set up for doing a lot of vacuuming and it provides ways around a dirty filter and a worn out battery with extras of each. That's something that most other stick vacs just don't give you without a huge buy in.

I have different cordless handheld/stick vacs on the different floors of my home. I am not tied to one brand and as long as they work well I am content with it. Overall this vac does the job a stick vac should do. It is not loud and works well for the carpet floors and ok for tile/hardwood. The roller bar doesn't seem to propel the vac forward on carpet as my other stick vacs. So maneuvering on high pile carpets is a little cumbersome but not terrible. Suction towards the front of the roller head over tile/hardwood seems a little low as it doesn't suck in what's in front of it until the rollers are over the debris, but once it is it has no problems sucking up what ever is on the ground. Emptying the bin is as easy as can be, hit the switch and drop what's in there (unless you live w/ women w/ long hair. The hair will wrap around the center cone and hold onto a lot of debris. Cleaning the various filters is always an annoying chore, but it is no worse than any other vac and they are all easy to access. I like the stand which has a couple of options on where and how you can mount the vac. I have it freestanding in the corner of my den. I also like that there is spaces on the stand to store the attachments. Run times are good enough to do the floor that it is on, but if I wanted to continue to the next floor and juice starts running low, the extra battery that charges in the stand is much appreciated. Speaking of power, the high power mode then turbo mode switch is placed top side of the handle. A trigger for the index finger would have been better (and seems like there should be something there) for the high power mode and the turbo mode could've been left on the top w/o that rather annoying 3sec press along with the button to kick it back down to the normal mode. I would've liked to see an easier way to extend and lock out the tube once removing it from the base AND an easier way to remove the head than the existing switch (a lever you can press with your foot to release) would make it easier to transition quickly from doing the floors to getting cobwebs off the ceilings. A minor grip for quick transitions when cleaning at a brisk pace. Those improvements would make it a GREAT stick vac. But it does it's job and it helps me keep my house just a bit cleaner.

Cordless vacuums have come a looong way. Setup: Not much to say, super simple, pieces click together. Done. Ergonomics: The weight is balanced near the handle, which makes the vacuum feel much lighter than advertised. Materials, while plastic, feel premium, and have a slick tactile feel to the unit. Design: The whole vacuum is streamlined to look sleek. The crevice attachments are housed on the charging base, which helps preserve the simple aesthetic, and also make sure there's no chance of a tool falling off while you're vacuuming. My favorite function though, is that there is an additional battery pack included. The charging base while house and charge both batteries, so as long as you keep the extra battery in the unit, you shouldn't run into issues with losing juice. That being said, because the charging base/dock has the charging function, you should place the unit near a wall socket so you can actually, you know, charge. The vacuum itself can be converted from cordless to handheld by attaching the cleaning head to the handle directly, which is nice for furniture, stairs, or on counters. Effectiveness: For such a small unit, the suction power is strong. We don't have any pets, so I can't speak to the ability to pull up pet hairs.

I purchased this vacuum just over a month ago and the power brush has broken. A shame as it's otherwise a nice vacuum.

Cordless Whole House Vacuum? - Yes!

First, let me provide my vacuum cleaner resume. I was raised by a mother that worshipped her Electrolux Heavy Metal vacuum cleaner, just as her mother before her did. Both are probably stored in my mother’s basement somewhere – until I find them and recycle them. When I became an adult on my own, I owned a series of Sears Kenmore canister vacuums – usually using them until their wheels literally came off. More recently, my family has transitioned to Dyson vacuums – first a canister until the beater bar attachment broke and it became more economically prudent to save it for hard floors only and buy a new upright Dyson for carpets, since a new beater bar attachment was so expensive. Finally, two years ago we purchased another Dyson upright for our son’s college apartment. To be honest, the price of the LG CordZero A9 was a little off putting, but we just bought a new LG washer and dryer, and are very happy with the brand so far. Not wanting to get stuck in a rut, I decided to give the battery powered portable LG vacuum a try. But would it be able to be used effectively to clean our 2500 square foot house? We don’t have pets. We take our shoes off when we enter the house, as do most of our guests. We are not dirty people. Maybe it would meet our needs. Here are some of my observations: • A lot more packaging and pieces than the Dyson vacuum. • Unlike the Dyson, it does not “stand up” on its own for storage – it requires a stand or holster. • Cordless is a plus. Less hassle to maneuver. • Limited run time due to batteries vs. cord. (But of course getting anyone to vacuum for any amount of time is real plus!) • Spare battery is nice. • Small dust collection bin fills up more quickly than that of the Dyson. Backs up into hose when over-filled. • “Free standing” storage stand is not truly “free standing” since it still must be screwed to a wall AND should be near an electrical outlet for charging the battery. • Stand conveniently stores everything – except for the “Power Punch” attachment. • Collapses into convenient size for one-handed cleaning of furniture cushions and furniture, etc. • Seems to have good suction power. • Unsure of the principles operating the “hard floor” attachment. Unsure of how well its velvety beater bar will hold up over time. • Carpet attachment immediately got wrapped up in hair on first use. • Better maintenance instructions provided in manual than those provided with some Dysons. • Nice laminated “trouble shooting” guide provided with machine. • MUCH more maneuverable getting close to baseboards, under metal door stoppers, bed legs, etc. • Used to clean up after Christmas present unwrapping event and collected a variety of sizes of wrapping paper. • Dust collection bin filled up quite quickly. But looking at the big picture, does that mean that our standby Dyson was NOT doing as good of a job as it should have been? Don’t forget – no pets here, only clean people (that may or may not be suffering hair loss). Point – LG. Bottom line – let’s use an automotive analogy. The Dyson stand up floor model is a Ford F-150. The LG CordZero is a Mazda Miata. The F-150 is a proven machine that will perform most tasks and can be a daily driver. The Miata is more maneuverable and fun to drive every day. The Miata has a smaller trunk, but can usually accommodate what you will need on most trips. I think for most occasions my family members will choose the Miata (LG CordZero) and be very happy.

Broke within a week of use. Something with the motor went bad. Was disappointed and expecting more from this $700+ product.

This LG cordless vacuum is a pleasure to use. Great suction, the beater bar head is powerful, and it's easy to charge, easy to empty the dust bin, and easy to clean the filters. I also really like the self-standing recharging station. I was worried the stand would not be stable but it is solid and it also has a spot to recharge the spare battery so you always have a charge. In use, the battery lasts long enough to vacuum the hard and soft floors of my 3400 square foot house several times. We also have 2 cats and this vac sucks up their lost hairs really well. Overall this is a great vac. If you are used to using a corded vac, switching over to a cordless model will change your life. Well, maybe not change your life, but you almost certainly will never use your corded vac ever again.
