If your not paying attention you will forget, yes there is alarm, it takes time too. So when you leave the house make sure the fridge door is close.

It is managing temperatures, providing tasty cold water, and I can even get a notification on my phone if I leave the door open.

Yet, after having it for 2 years, the condenser fan failed, causing distress due to the noise. Unfortunately, this was not included in the warranty. The repair is taking a week for the part to arrive and will cost us $400. Can LG refund us our $400?
