    Before purchasing this item we research for about two months. This model was the best option for our family. We needed to be able to store different size pans and pot. Not to mention ton of food.

    We had 2 of these refrigerators in 6 years. The first one was replaced under extended warranty. The second was not and was not repairable. STAY AWAY from LG refrigerators.

    My second LG French Door Refrigerator. And my second LG French Door Refrigerator to be a complete disaster. I've had it for two years and the compressor and "sealed system parts" have failed (as of 10/1/2018) and must be replaced. Yes, the parts are covered by a warranty. But the labor is not, which is $650. And I will be without a refrigerator in my home for at least one week as the parts are ordered. From a $3500 fridge to living out of a cooler on my dining room floor. These things are obviously just designed to be disposable and LG does not care. Just more stuff for landfills.

    Horrible Customer Service!

    I will never buy another LG product in my life and I hope you do not as well. I have been fighting with LG for a month to get my refrigerator fixed. It is only 2 yrs old and the compressor has gone out on it. After the first 6 months of it, Japanese cockroaches started to come out from the refrigerator. I had my pest guy deal with and confirmed they did come from the refrigerator. So now LG refuses to work on it because of the infestation, which CAME WITH IT FROM THEIR WAREHOUSE! It took them a month to get to this conclusion as well and let me know. Thankfully had another refrigerator in my garage to keep food in the house for my family. So take warning that Customer service will not help you and you will not get an english speaking person until you reach their "Executive Services" team.

    We purchased and took delivery of our fridge in July of '15. A little more than a year later we started experiencing issues. From lots of condensation accumulating on the outside to cooling issues. Overall we've more than three full refrigerators full of food go bad due to it not cooling. In fact it's not working as we're writing this review. It has been down over a week now. LG authorized service is coming in two days to replace the compressor for the second time under warranty. Seems kind of strange that LG is replacing the compressor for free on a fridge that only has a one year warranty. Sounds like a design flaw.

    One star for every year refrigerator worked....

    This $3000 refrigerator stopped working after 3 years, the compressor went out.... Thankfully we did buy the extended warranty, unfortunately it’s been a nightmare trying to get the refrigerator fixed.... long story short its been 7 days, the second repair person will not be out until the 10th day the refrigerator has been broken to LOOK at it, $300 worth of food spoiled, and fridge is still not fixed.

    I absolutely love this fridge. However I did have a very bad experience. We bought the fridge in store and the sales associates were very helpful. We scheduled deliver and pick up of our old fridge. Delivery and pick up were very reasonably priced. The delivery crew were very helpful and did a great job. Now for the problems, 20 minutes after they left, the fridge just started shutting down and restarting every 30 seconds to a minute, and would not stay running. I called Best buy. Now I purchased the Geek Squad protection on it for 3 years. After spending and hour on the phone, they told me that they could schedule an appointment to look at the fridge but it would be 2 weeks before they could get to my house. I even explained that I had just bought this brand new fridge and it had only been in my house for less that 2 hours. That did not seem to matter to them. Best buy was NO help at all. I actually got more out of the third party delivery company that best buy. The lady with the delivery company arranged to have a brand new fridge delivered and the bad fridge picked up, Unfortunately the soonest they could get me a new fridge was 4 days later. I had all of my food packed in ice crest and went through 120 lbs of ice to keep from loosing anything. Don't get me wrong I love Best buy, but for appliances they are not ideal. Seeing how they do not keep them in stock.

    3 years later - don’t buy

    Like everyone else I was pleased with this fridge at first. Looked nice, worked well and I got a great deal for it. Less than 3 years later it suddenly quit cooling - we woke up to everything in the freezer thawed. We found out it’s a known compressor issue (search open class action lawsuits for more info) and it’s taking forever to get fixed. So far it’s been broken a week and the earliest service date to “fix” it is 3 weeks out. We have 2 small children that can’t be expected to eat out all day long for a month. This is just unacceptable for an appliance of this price to break (for so many people and for the exact same reason). Don’t buy any of these refrigerators with this linear compressor - this is not a long term quality purchase worth the cost and effort. While LG is clearly the problem, I’m disappointed and surprised that Best Buy is still carrying these products.

    LG refrigerator 3 1/2 yr old NOT Work

    Wish I could give a Minus 5 stars!!! Refrigerator 3 1/2 years old. Quit cooling. Had ten(10) service calls over 3 months. Replaced compressor twice, condenser, refrig evaporator, freezer evaporator. Still not cooling. Waited a week for LG Tech and Service Center to schedule another appt. I gave up... purchased a new refrigerator at another competitor. Warranty on compressor and condenser BUT must pay labor $402.19 for the first compressor. No other labor charges yet as not work in first 30 days of replacement. Buyer Beware... Now must always buy Extended Warranty. And you still may not get repaired.

    Awesome Fridge

    Upgraded from a side-by-side to this LG fridge. There is tons of storage room and easy to access any items. I love the double front door for items used often like milk or butter. The freezer has lots of room also and nice slide out drawers. The LED lighting is great, well lit and nice color. I really don't have negatives about this fridge. It took me a little time of adjusting shelves to find the right combination and placement for both tall items and short items and being able to organize it, but that's expected with any new fridge.

    So far, I really like this refrigerator. Different areas with slightly varied temperatures allows for true food enjoyment....cheese vs. sodas vs. lunchmeats ets. I like the convenience of the door in door. Allows easy access to creamer and oj in the morning. Makes great ice and cold water! Like it so far!

    Not worth a penny

    At first I did like the fridge. It hasn’t even been 3 years since I bought it and the compressor has already died. LG’s top of the line fridge that cost 3,000+ shouldn’t have these issues under 3 years. Thank goodness my grandparents 20+ year old freezer still runs like a champ or we would have lost more food than we did. It only took a week for the first geek squad guy to come out and say they didn’t have the parts. It took two weeks to get the parts in and after he installed it, it still wasn’t fixed and the Third guy said the wrong parts were ordered so now we have to wait till late June to get the parts in. So zero stars for the fridge for very low quality and -1 star for the geek squad service for not taking better care of the situation.

    Ice and water quit on day 366

    The icemaker and water quit functioning on day 365. I called the very next day, and they will not warranty it. It is one day out of warranty. There were no issues of any kind the day before. The water worked perfectly and the icemaker worked perfectly. One day it just stopped working. The icemaker was full but nothing would come out. We had to open it and dump the ice. We have an error code 1F or IF. I looked it up and it said it needs a service call. I called, and they will not warranty because it is one day past one year.

    Avoid LG like a plague

    I currently own this refrigerator. LG has serious issues with its refrigerators. Just google "LG refrigerator issues" videos on youtube. Currently trying to get it repaired by LG for the past 2 months and still not successful. Compressor, condenser fan, etc all broke within 20 months of purchase. Authorized service technicians don't want to repair it because of reimbursement issues with LG. Please don't buy any LG refrigerators.

    Get Ready To Replace It

    Had mine for 5 years and literally as my 5 year extended warranty expired, so did my fridge. The fridge has now completely stopped working. Won’t cool. Compressor has gone bad. Lost all my groceries and I’m now without a fridge during this Coronavirus outbreak. New fridge from different manufacture won’t arrive for a few more days. We are a family of 7. This is just ridiculous! Spend your money elsewhere.

    LG - Door-in-Door 29.9 Cu. Ft. 4-Door French Door

    This is my second LG Refrigerator that has stopped working. The first one lasted one month. So best buy replaced it with this model Model: LMXS30776S. Well after the warranty expired it went out! I guess I'm fortunate because it lasted 6 months after the expiration. I will never purchase a LG appliance again nor will I purchase a Samsung appliance again especially from Best Buy. Now i need to call LG for a repair and I am not looking forward to paying so much money for repair. WOW! Compressor! I have a Kenmore Refrigerator in the garage that works great. No Problems at all. So we moved our food there.

    We have had this fridge for less than 2 years and it quit cooling. LG has been giving us the run-around for 25 days with no repair in sight. No help from Best Buy either. I have four kids and no fridge, in the middle of summer. My advice, do no EVER buy LG! Never Ever! One repairman I talked to even told me never buy LG. My cousin's friend had the same fridge and the same thing happened, compressor went out in less than 2 years.

    Wiring Problems

    Just over a year (out of warranty), the entire front display, water dispenser, and ice machine would not work. Called a technician who discovered a red wire that is sealed at the top of the left door was broken. The only repair is to replace the entire door. This fridge gets very minimal usage so this must be a design flaw. I've seen other similar reviews with similar repairs. If you buy it, make sure you get the extended warranty!

    We bought this refrigerator 3.5 years ago. It had been working fine until a couple of days ago when it stopped cooling. We had a service technician check it out, bad compressor. It is under warrantee but will take 3 weeks to get a replacement in and cost about $400 to repair. I looked around on line and have seen that this is a common problem with this refrigerator, the company has been aware of the problem and continues to sell it. I would not buy this refrigerator!
