Been looking for a tablet for a few months. As much as I wanted a more expensive tablet with a higher resolution screen, I just couldn't justify the price for my needs. After checking out this LG and also similar 7" tablets from Samsung & ASUS, this LG was the clear winner! First off, the screen is very crisp and easy to see at all angles. Keep in mind that even though this isn't the highest resolution screen on the market, it is still HD and more than enough resolution for a 7" screen. Honestly, putting a higher resolution screen on a tablet this size is a waste. You would be hard pressed to see the difference. Compared to the other tablets I looked at, this one seemed to operate the best. By that I mean there is no lag when jumping from page to page and there is no lag when turning from vertical to horizontal. The Samsung had bad lag in this area even though it is said to have a bit more RAM. Not a lot of unneeded apps pre-installed either. And what apps are there are actually useful. At its current regular price of $149 its a bargain. If you catch it on sale for less, its a steal!

After using 10in tablets (Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, iPad), I wanted something small to take with me. Lately, I've been favoring my Chromebook for big-screen and keyboard needs on the go, so I was looking for a 7in tablet for my purse/pocket. This fits the bill wonderfully. The screen is crisp and clear and it multitasks and handles intensive apps like a champ. Bluetooth pairing is quick and drama-free. Battery life is about average to what you'd expect. I haven't run out of juice yet on a regular day of semi-regular use, but if I do need to charge it, it's a standard micro-usb that I can use with my car charger or portable battery charger--no funky proprietary nubs to deal with. The one big downside is that I do like to have fitted accessories--I bought a slim, tiny tablet and want a case that fits it properly. The shape of this tablet is nice and narrow, which I love... but most "universal" cases are made to fit wider-bodied tablets and don't seem to fit this tablet quite right. I accept that this is a very new tablet, though, and am using a neoprene sleeve until LG comes out with a fitted smart cover. Also using a microSD card for my videos and music and it works nicely to compensate for only having 8gb of storage on board. I already had the card, though, so it wasn't an extra expense for me. It may be something for buyers to consider, though. Updating my apps used up all but 8gb--keep in mind that the OS uses some of that 8 gigs too! Overall very happy with my purchase!

Pros: Price. Great screen. Great battery. SD card slot. Cons: Only 8GB internal memory. 1 GB of RAM isn't enough for a heavy user.

I am contrasting this with the MeMO Pad 8 (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus-memo-pad-8-tablet-16gb-gray/6248031.p) which I bought first. I had complaints with the MeMO Pad 8's software which caused me to return it. I opted to give this little guy a chance. First, I was pleased to see that I could replace the stock launcher with what I wanted (unlike the MeMO Pad 8). Second, I was very pleased when I was able to remove some of the default bloatware (unlike the MeMO Pad 8). Third, I remembered that 8GB is not that much for a smart device (whereas the MeMO Pad 8 has 16). Fourth, I think the MeMO Pad 8 has a better screen, but this one isn't bad. If you want a decent little tablet, this one definitely is, although you might want to get a micro sd card. It will be nice when manufacturers start putting speakers on the front of devices like this, but since the competition doesn't it's hard to fault LG too much here.

2nd choice when ASUS tab hung when testing it in the store. Primary use is as an E-reader with access the Android Play Store. Store sample showed a bunch of Apps which are not bundles, but then again, don't have a bunch of wasted space. Added Micro-SD and it was easy to have that be default storage location. Its interface was straight forward. Only hit was when I down loaded NavFree the volume of the voice directions was too low to use. I have a GPS so I may be spoiled. The GPS finds and tracks my movement fine and Kindle App behaves well. I can easily turn features on and off to save power. Auto-brightness is a bit dim but the tablet is fine with that disabled. Camera is marginal, but a 7: tablet is a bit large to use as a snap shooter. Overall good value for the price.

So I purchased the Samsung Tab S 8.4 two days ago and when I got home after playing with it for about two hours I was asking my self why did I spend $400 on this tablet it seemed to me to be just like the google nexus experience but way more expensive. So i went back to Best Buy and returned the S tab in hopes to find something a little less expensive. So after about half hour looking at all the tablets they have a salesman comes up to me and asks what I was looking for. I told him I wanted the best tablet i could buy for under $250. He immediately started talking about Nexus , S tab blah blah blah. Then out of nowhere another salesman comes up and says we have one LG G tab 7.0 the only one in Southern California it just came in not even out on shelf yet..... He then went on to tell me all the features and said this would be his choice. Anyway after about 8 hours of playing with it all I can say is WOW WOW WOW....... Look I know its not the best tablet out there but I can promise you its a great tablet and I can say I like this way better then the Nexus 2014 version. Hope this helps PS only weird thing was when I got the tablet home it was in chinese so i took a bit to figure out the language settings to get back to english. then as soon as I did that A huge update came and upgraded it to 4.4.2 :)

This is a nice LG product for a change. The price you pay is great considering all of the features, especially QPair.

Most tablets and phones say 32GB micro SD only, they can't guarantee that anything higher will work efficiently. But most tablets and phones I've seen (including this one) work with no problem. My actual dumbphone is rated for 8GB max. I put a 16GB micro SD and it takes forever to load but its an LG Optimus non-smart edition. But I'm not reviewing that. Its a good company and a beautiful tablet. Keep in mind I went through 6 til I found one I liked.

The Gpad 7.0 is a complete all around good tablet for its price, you wont be disappointed, LG website says it supports up to 32gb micro sd cards but Im using it with a 64GB sandisk Ultra SDXC card with no problem.

So far i really like this tablet.I really like that i can see whos calling my phone and SMS messages.Im not clear on everything i can do with this but ill figure it out.I like the dual screens also.Just so many things this tablet can do that my Nexus 7 (2012) cant.

Nothing special I dont think, okay tho. Dont know if I will get another.
