I got this as a upgrade for my wife on sale through Sprint, her previous phone was a Galaxy S7 Edge. For 320.00 this was hard to pass up. This G8 compared to the S7 Edge, is much faster. The 855 Snapdragon processor is snappy and fast. Apps load without a hiccup.
Ive always heard bad about LG phones, but cant find any myself. The phone oled screen is very crisp and colors are punchy. Animations and pictures look great. The rear fingerprint reader works better than the one on my S10+ imo.
The included 128gb of built in storage is great, tgat will never get filled up, plus added a 64gb sd card for pics and videos. The 6.1 screen size is perfect, not to big or small. The phones wireless charging works great, always enjoy not having to plug the phone into a cable to charge. Just set it and forget it.
I grabbed my wife a Poetic case with built in screen protector on Amazon for under 20.00, much nicer than the overpriced Otterbox Defender cases, which many no longer come with any screen protection.
The only downside of LG phones from what Ive read, is LG takes for ever to rollout firmware updates. I hope thats not the case, but oh well... The battery seems to last throughout a days use, which is great. On my wifes S7 Edge, she would charge it numerous times throughout the day.
The time of flight camera for facial recognition unlock works great, I wish my S10+ had this feature, works nicely everytime. Another nice but untalked about feature is the flush cameras on the rear of the phone.
If you can pick this phone up on sale, I would highly reccommend soing so.

To start, i was a loyal HTC fan for years but apparently i was one of few and the brand that really put android on the map just isn't relevant anymore. I almost went with an S 10 variant but i wantes something different plus i remembered a good experience with LG's take on an OS in the past. Ecen though I was burned by the boot loop nightmare of the G4.
I had another ussue with the G4...and that was fragility. I had a somewhat soft drop and found that the screen survived relatively unscathed, I cracked the camera lense. But that's enogh about what i didn't like about my LG experience of the past. I hace to say that all is forgiven and i really am a fan of the G8.
First, the price, this phone is routinely available for less than the s10e but it is far more comparable to the s10. But price is just the beginning. The screen is gorgeous, rhe camera will give you shots worthy of framing (currently in the process of doing that). The processor and RAM will not disappoint. The design aesthetic is quite nice and it has wireless charging and a nice IP 68 rating. The G8 is a tremendous value and the OS offers some great features. LG has done everything right except for the hand gestures. If you are not trying to have the what everyone else has and sacrifice nothing, the G8 is the only choice.

This is a great phone, don't listen to the negative reviews. People always want Samsung this and Apple that but this phone has the EXACT same chip the S10 has and the camera is great too. Maybe some of the features are a little behind but it's a great, fast phone. You also can't beat the fact LG offers a 2 year warranty for anything software related. It's basically free insurance! So many reviews are so nitpicky about things you'll never even notice. Battery life is better than what I've seen in reviews too. I can easily go all day on a charge with moderate use.

Would have given it 5 stars but it won't pick up a roaming signal and some Bluetooth devices won't reconnect without turning Bluetooth off and back on. Otherwise, good sound on calls and for music. I like the enhanced music options. It's fast with any apps I use. Good picture quality (I'm not a photo expert). Good display.

I have bought into the Apple/Samsung hype for years, and don't get me wrong, those are great products. But at some point, the price cost for a few"upgrades" to the previous model just can't be justified. Take the iPhone, they haven't WOWED me in years. The camera is great, but does that mean you charge $1k for a phone that is marginally better than the previous generation? I was skeptical about the G8, after reading the reviews online, but I took a chance and you know, I really love it.
I read one review that complained about how slippery the phone is..., Really? It's glass! Just like the Samsung and Apple phones! Then there was another complaint about the keyboard, guess what, you can download one for FREE if you have Android (yes, that is a dig at iPhone).
I was looking for a reason to return the phone before my 14 return policy expired and it turns out that I couldn't find one. Just because you don't see ads for it all over the place doesn't mean it's not a good product. The kicker was the price dropped $120 during my return period, so BB price matched it!
People, stop being SHEEP!

Had an LG before and it's good to be back. The phone is everything as advertised. Fast and fluid. Excellent Camera, which in my opinion takes the best picture of all the current flagship phones. The hand gesture for unlocking your screen was a bit of problem, mainly because I have such large hands. Needless to say I don't use it. It's a step down in size from my previous phone, but the beautiful OLED display more than makes up for it. BEWARE, this is a very slippery phone. as soon as you get one, put a case on it.

Got this awesome device on sale with Sprint $20 montly credit for 24 months. Paying $10 per month for 24 mos = $240 + $60 tax. Has good camera, processor, memory etc. I like it better than Samsung S10 or even iPhone X. Still learning features. Awesome audio with audio jack. Found a trick if you use audio adapter to connect earbuds it thinks you have expensive HiFi headphones and audio output is so great. Same thing if use USB-C audio adapterbwith DAC. Normal AKG tuned Samsung earbuds I tried, sound more like really expensive branded headphones. Display is amazing, call quality good.

Got this for the wife - It's her 4th LG & upgrade from a V30+.
We both love LG phones & have stuck with them over the past 8 years.
This is the very best LG phone yet & a $teal @ $10 per month as a upgrade on Sprint.
This phone does just about everything right & is totally underrated against it's main competitors (Samsung & Apple).
The Samsung S10 is $18 a month more & the cheapest iphone 11 is $20 more per month.
I'll be getting mine very soon as my upgrade is just about due.
Do yourself a favor & check out the LG lineup for your next upgrade & $ave a bundle & still get a great phone!

It's amazing this phone was heavily discounted and effectively $400 less than the other flagships out there. This phone should not disappoint most users. I do recommend getting a case ASAP, as the glass structure is likely susceptible to damage. The battery has been quite good, with moderate to heavy usage I have been able to delete it fully by the end of the day only once. On a more typical day the battery ends around 40-50%. The camera has done well in both bright and low lit situations. If this phone maintains it's performance for a couple years, I'll be very pleased.

The specs on this phone are what you would expect from a flagship phone even with the quirky extra features like motion controls and jand vein scan (which I use none of) . This device is fantastic. Super fast, gteat reception and overall excellent performance. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Had no problems with this phone until charger port suddenly stopped working, have to use wireless charger currently to keep it running. Great screen, good sound. If not for it having charging issues within the first three months i would highly recommend.

I got this phone for $240 and a two year line extension with Sprint. That was a terrific value on a first generation phone with all the bells and whistles. While I haven't used all its features, I can say that the battery life and recharge speed are excellent. The streaming video capability on 4G is superior. My wife just got the Galaxy 10e and, while her phone is also very good, there doesn't seem to be any practical difference between the two phones except cost. The LG is a better initial value. Only time will tell if that value extends out three or four years.

The LG G8 ThinQ may not have all the bells and whistles like Samsung but it has a good camera, good sound quality, and a better than expected battery life. I'm happy to have a good phone without having to pay an arm and a leg for it.

Nice phone, Nice display. Takes good pictures. Very similar to the Galaxy S8 I had to be honest. I like that it has 128mb of storage. I haven't had any issues with this phone at all. Seems to be a pretty solid phone.

Really enjoying this phone. Upgraded from LG G6. Alot people are upset with face id and hand motion unlock not being responsive. I just don't use them. Fingerprint unlock enough for me. Lightning fast compared to old phone. Super happy Android user who is not picky. Plus got it on deal for 4.59 for 24 months.
