Great microwave if you don’t have much space

It’s small, and has a peculiar set of sounds and melodies it plays when it finishes a heating cycle—something to get used to for sure.

Here's the problem. I was replacing an old 700 watt GE which was getting old. I expected this to be more powerful. Wrong. This is rated at 1000 watts, but it still took significantly longer to cook everything then the supposedly less powerful unit. Then a few months after I got this LG it started making a very annoying loud noise while cooking. It may have been the fan was rattling. Who knows? I got fed up, gave it away and replaced it with a 900 watt 0.9 cu. ft GE which was much less expensive. Although the GE is "supposedly" less powerful, it cooks significantly faster. Also the GE is significantly larger inside although they are both supposedly 0.9 cu. ft. There was a couple of things I liked about this LG however. I like the minimalistic design (although some may prefer having all the buttons on the front as on other microwaves). I also liked the sturdy turntable support and the larger 12 inch turntable. Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the few things I did like.

However, it died - started sparking from the magnetron - after just 18 months of fairly light use. That's just horrible on many levels!
