Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the PH30JG 720p Wireless DLP Projector's portability, battery life, and picture quality, frequently praising its compact size and ease of use. Many appreciate the bright image in darkened rooms, although some found the brightness insufficient in well-lit environments. A few users noted the fan noise, but overall, the positive feedback on portability and image quality outweighs the negative comments.

The LG - PH30JG is a great tool given the right circumstances. It's size and multiple connection options make it a great choice. The light output at only 250 Lumens is the only drawback. Set up and use is easy, so much so I initially tried not using the instructions. If you have any intuitive sense about wireless and projectors it is easy. The directions do make it easier and expand on the compatible mirroring options. The one flaw, which depending upon your usage environment, may not be a flaw is the brightness. In a normally illuminated room it is difficult to see an image on a white screen or wall. My trials with this show at best you need about a 50% reduction in ambient lighting to really realize the greatness of the projector. It produces great color and clarity but again you need the correct lighting. The blue tooth feature to connect to a speaker is a great option. All in all, even consider the price this is a great piece of equipment but if you need a projector for a space where you are unable to dim the light you may be stuck going with a bigger one that offers greater light output.

The LG MiniBeam is an easy to use and very versatile portable projector. With wireless screen share and bluetooth enabled audio it is super simple to cast almost any device that you would like, the HDMI input allows you to hook up more traditional devices as well. The hook-ups and screen share are easy to access and easy to use. With an included battery that is capable of lasting up to 4 hours it allows you to use this projector completely wirelessly by simply screen casting from your phone or tablet and using a bluetooth enabled speaker for sound. Overall this is a very good device for what it does, it is capable of being completely portable and it's super small size make it very easy to transport and use wherever you need to. The projector's battery is very capable of allowing you to just set up and use the projector wherever you need to without having to worry about plugging it in. This is an HD projector so only capable of 720p but the image is clear and decently lit if used in a dark area, it will get washed out like most projectors in a well lit area.

    Not enough brightness and clarity

I was super excited to receive the product and try it out. Setup was quite simple with laptop Bluetooth connectivity. It does not support iOS. So streaming via iPhones is not possible. I really expected this to be compatible with my iPhone and iPad. Brightness - very low brightness. Even if there is a little light coming from outside, the content is not going to be clearly visible. Clarity- I did not expect a HD quality projection, but at least hoped for a decent 1080P clarity. I could see grains on the screen. Battery life - without power connected, the battery was able to hold up to 3.5 hours. Overall, this projector is purely a one that can be used only for business purposes and for nothing else.

    Difficult for me

I chose this thinking I might purchase an Amazon stick or some streaming device and use it in any room I might want instead of having TVs everywhere. The size is perfect, very compact and feels good in my hand. It was easy to find placement. The cord seems adequate to reach. I would say that to enjoy streaming entertainment, you would need a screen to project to. The problems I had were connectivity. I tried a google pixel book & the most recent Samsung tablet first, using the c type port. I got neither to work, nor could I find any help on the Internet. I moved on to my hp Envy touchsceeen laptop with a usb connection. I could not get that to work trying for an hour. Finally, I shutdown everything leaving the connections plugged in. When I turned everything on, it worked perfectly. I just didn’t like the grainy display, hence the need for a screen. Next I tried a jump drive with photos on it. That worked perfectly the first time. I suppose this will work for presentations for business people who are more proficient than me. I was expecting an easier plug n play experience. The instructions, even with the download user manual didn’t address my issues. I did not contact the support line which I’m sure would have made things easier. I have not gone back and retried the tablet or pixel book. I needed a break to rethink how I want to use this projector.

I was amazed at how small this unit is. The remote is about half it’s size. It has all the features of a full size projector. The picture is good and has several modes to choose from. It will run up to four hours on the built in battery alone. It has Bluetooth, HDMI, USB and USB-C connections. It is the perfect companion for displaying movies on the go.

Great picture and quality. Such an amazing projector. Projects in full 1080p from my apple tv and ROKU. It is an amazing projector for being so small. I mounted the projector and connected it through the HDMI cable. Watched tv shows and movies on Netflix, VUDU, FandangoNow and Youtube TV. I have used various other TVs, including plasma in this room, but this projector gives a colorful, crisp picture. Easy setup and same settings menu selection as my other LG TVs and blu ray players. I highly recommend this projector to anyone who is put off by the 720p in the item description, but I am telling you that ROKU and AppleTV will only allow the 1080p resolutions if the TV can accept and translate that resolution, otherwise it will lock it down to 720p and will not display a picture, example my 32" Samsung 720p in my kitchen will not let me use 1080p on that tv.

    Best Portable DLP projector

The LG - PH30JG Minibeam DLP portable projector is fantastic for impromptu business presentations or family movie night at home or anywhere you have a projection screen or surface. The output is bright and has great color depth. There are several inputs, HDMI, USB, USBC and Screen share with Miracast or WiDi. Note for newer android operating systems you will need a Chromecast for best performance. (there are apps in the app store that purport miracast functionality but I could not get any of them to work with this projector). I did not try but you may be able to power the Chomecast from the USB of the projector keeping it a portable solution. The projector has 4 hours of battery life with a full charge. The bulb life is 30000 hours ie 8 hours a day for 10 years! I tested this with my FireTv and a Chromecast dongle and my android tablet. Both tests gave great results with no lag at all. The projector has a built in speaker but for any serious viewing I recommend using the Bluetooth connection to a wireless speaker. For any wired legacy equipment with composite output, VGA or even DVI you will need an adapter. You can also use a USB or USBC memory stick or even a HD (<500amps) and the my media player to view DivX®, MP3 or compatible Photo formats. Strangely in the manual it lists the projector as supporting 1080p but recommends 720 p for best output. The included remote is very good quality and allows easy access to all options. If you want a small portable easy to set up projector for business or fun this is the one for you. It is ready to go in less than a minute and can be totally wireless if you have a compatible smart device or computer and a Bluetooth speaker for enhanced sound. This could be great for campsite or backyard or beach movies with the family.

this projector just give me a big surprise. for the low price (compare with other LG) i just want to try it. but when i got it and watch the movies i feel so great. If you are not sensitive to the high resolution (720p is enough to me),and want a hand-size projector, this one will be perfect to you! but if you can afford more,of couse 1080p or 4k is better. I recommend this tiny projector.

I was excited about getting this tiny projector, turns out the "wireless" part of the projector only works with android devices. The other thing I wasn't expecting is the fan noise, it produces as much noise as a standard size projector. Not worth the money
