Makes your tv sound literally cinematic . It has a lot of bass too. You can choose levels of bass one to five. I like that it’s bluetooth and you can put one speaker behind you and then select Rear function on second speaker or Soundbar function if both speakers are in front of you.

Very cool soundbar concept - two separate speakers to place in different areas to get the best sound. Works well for a bedroom especially - you can put one near his side, and one near her side of the bed. Makes for awesome surround sound effect. Highly recommended!

WHOA! That's what I would describe this LG soundbar pairing up with my 4K LG tv... I have always been a fan of pairing up with the same brand for consistency in performance. LG has this thing called LG Optical which automatically syncs with the soundbar via power and sound eliminating the need to connect everything to the soundbar. Just one optical cable from the TV to the soundbar and that's it! For performance, it gets pretty loud for such a small form factor and being that it's 2 separate speakers, the rear speaker can be used independently since it has a built in battery! Whether it's as a battery operated rear speaker or has a bluetooth speaker! I, personally, use it side by side with the TV, in which I love rather than having it underneath the front of the TV. Overall, this is my favorite soundbar for my setup! Thanks LG!

The flexibility of the system is useful. The two detachable units can be used as fronts, rears, or as Bluetooth speakers. One speaker acts as the master while the second unit connects wirelessly and features an onboard battery. This second unit can be used as the wireless rear or for streaming Bluetooth anywhere in the house. The system appears to have a switch that determines which mode the second unit operates in. The drawback is that the HDMI inpu is only 1.4 compliant. Basically saying it wont support 4K TV's

I am very pleased with the sound of this sound bar system. It was also very easy to setup, and the instructions were well written. An added bonus is that the second speaker has a built in battery, that can be paired with your phone or tablet via Bluetooth. You can use it on the go or use it in another room in the house when needed. The 2 speakers can be horizontal or vertical using an included detachable base. The system supports Optical Input, HDMI, and Bluetooth for inputs.

Purchased the SJ7 in November of 2017 to pair with my LG 55UJ6300 TV. I had no set-up issues and it worked Great for the first two months. Then I noticed it cutting out every so often for a second and then powering right back on. Very annoying to say the least. I tried multiple optic cables as well as a high end HDMI to no avail. Tried disconnecting the power cords from my surge protector and plugging directly into an outlet. I updated my firmware to the latest on the TV 4.70.10 and firmware on the SJ7 to 1712060. I even connected the optic cable directly to my cable box. Still no difference. It makes no difference weather I'm watching Cable, Blu-Ray, or Netflix. TV sounds perfect while using the internal speakers. I have the speakers separated by less then two feet in the sound-bar mode. There are numerous forums on line complaining about this problem. I assumed by pairing the LG speakers with a LG TV I would have no issues. The sound drops out multiple times in a minute or two but sometimes works perfect for hours. I've done everything I can from my end so I finally called LG Support this morning and after explaining everything I did to try and rectify the problem, they are having me mail my unit out for repair. I would strongly advise anyone interested in this unit to stay away. Very aggravating to say the least. I usually don't write reviews but I just had to worn any perspective buyers.

This was a terrible buy. Cuts in and out because the blue tooth has to sends signals from each speaker back and forth from L (main speaker) to R. The sound in movies was also too low and the music was way too loud. If you enjoy having to turn the volume up and down during TV, then this product is for you! I returned it for the SK8Y, because I strictly stream and am able to get a simulated dolby atmos experience through apps like Netflix and VUDU. I wasn't willing to spend more than 3-400 dollars.
