I upgraded from older model and is one is more durable and has a great sound quality when at high volume. I turn it on in the AM and it plays music for over 10 hours. Very happy with this model

I prefer a slide on off switch. It works faster. The answer button it hard to find. I had one with the answer button on the front. Sound quality is good.

Not a good bluetooth headset, Mouthpiece is too close to the side and can be covered by skin, resulting to a muffled mic quality, also I always experience bluetooth disconnection even when I am holding my Iphone and the LG headset is looped around my neck

I got this for work mainly so I can listen to music/podcasts while working without having to grab my phone every time I had to get up for the scanner/printer which is often. It works excellent, the range on it though is not as great as they say, and if there's items between you and your phone you will get interference like sound stopping. Battery is pretty good, I can use it for a solid constant 8 hours and still have about a "medium" battery charge once home from work. Call quality is also great, no one has complained about echo or muffled mic. The sound is fantastic though and if you got to the gym it's GREAT for work outs, stands up to sweat VERY well. It's really comfortable and I tend to forget I even have it on. Charges fairly fast as well!

I wear Bluetooth Ear Buds an average of four hours per day. 90% of the time I only have one bud in one ear because I also need to hear the world around me. These Buds have excellent Sound Quality. They stay in my Ear. They are Comfortable. Battery life is excellent. The retractable Buds are awesome. The ONLY downside to these is that the buttons are easily pushed unintentionally. Causing repeated "Butt Dialing" unintentional phone calls! If I'm wearing a jacket or anything around my neck the call button can be pressed unintentionally. The Volume buttons also get pushed but that's not as big of a problem as unintentionally dialing up my boss and not knowing that he is hearing everything I'm saying :-( I'd like to see a Button Lock out switch.

Great battery life, comfort, music, and calls

My initial need for bluetooth headphones lead me to hooked ear gels, which did well for workouts and general user throughout the day. The battery life of the smaller stereo units were not cutting it with my constant music streaming. The call quality of the TONE is better than that of the JABRA sport headphones, the battery life is three times greater, and the comfort of the TONE plugs work well for my sensitive ears. The TONE vibrates on calls, alerts which is great for not missing calls, it also vibrates when the phone is no longer in range, good for not losing your phone. Make sure you get the extended warranty because the ear phones are connected via a retracting cord that looks to be delicate, thus ripping if pulled too hard, or yanked during use.

These are my favorite head phones for multiple reasons as follows; light weight, ability to stay in my ears (comes with multiple sized ear pieces, the sound has excellent quality, also I use them as ear plugs when the need arises, the functional buttons on them yet not bulky, let's not leave out that I typically can get a couple days before I have to recharge these bad boys, they work with apple and android phone not to mention my computer, tablet, mp3, iPod, water resistant as well... Anyhow I've had to many to count headphone / blue tooths I'll never go back to any other

    A Good Buy

Originally when I saw the LG Tone HBS-A80 Bluetooth head set I had my reservations about them. Since I was not able to actually try them on and hear their tone quality I was hesitant to make the purchase. After looking at other Bluetooth headsets I was convinced by the Best Buy associate to make the purchase. I am very glad I did buy this headset. The main unit that rests on your neck is very light and you actually forget you're wearing it. This unit has very small wires that lead to the ear pieces. I will caution prospective buyers to possibly purchase the extended warranty, as I did, in case the wires break during your use, since you have to pull gently to retract the ear piece back into the main headset. So far this is no issue for me. I use the headset while walking my dog and jogging so was concerned that if I had the LG Tone with the wireless ear piece I might lose one if it fell out of my ears. The overall sound quality is very good when listening to music and was very easy to pair with my phone. When receiving a call, I can quickly turn it on, (when it's off), and have it pair and receive the call. I have questioned my friends and relatives about how it sounds on their end, while I'm using it and they have all answered that they hear me very clearly. One last thing, this unit uses USB cable to charge it. I have charged it multiple times since purchasing it and it has taken a full charge in less than an hour. The only added feature I wish this unit had was some form of meter that indicated the headsets charge level.

    Active Tones are fantastic

I had the LG Tones previously, and they were my absolute favorite headphones, until I sweat and broke them. These are sweat-proof, water-resistant, and I forget that I am wearing them when they are in standby mode. Here are my pro's and con's: Pro's - Battery lasts over 400 hours on standby, and ~9 hours of constant music. - The tones themselves are very comfortable around my neck. I wear button shirts where the neck is 16 1/2". - When I exercise, the tones do not move. They comfortably hug my neck as to prevent movement, no matter if I'm running, biking, lifting weights, or even playing basketball. I have yet to have these fall off my neck due to exercise. - The earbuds provide great sound. Con's: - I remember that the tones had a better quality sound when compared to the active tones, but the quality of the active tones are still fantastic. I would just say that the bass isn't as rich. - The active tones has an innovative idea to retract the buds when not in use. While this is a good idea, I have noticed that after owning the headphones for only a few weeks that the retracting spring is already starting to give out a little. However, I will easily return and get new ones since there is a manufacturer's warranty, plus my geek squad protection.

I work in a harsh metal fabrication environment. The past couple weeks, these headphones have held up great, the battery lasts me a few 10 hour days before charging and the sound quality is phenomenal. Noise cancelling is a great addition as all of the grinding and banging going on in the shop is gone. The only things I dislike about the product are 2... 1.) the body of the headphones (that lies around your neck) is too small, almost as if they're for a toddler. However, the do stretch and it does fit snugly. 2.) the wires going from the body of the headphones to the earbuds themselves are very thin and very fragile. You have to be extremely careful when pulling them out and retracting them, so that you don't rip them.

I love my new Lg Active. They have nice volume. They are just as loud as my Bose 30(in my opinion) for three times less the money. They don't fall off your neck no matter what your doing. There very light weight. The battary life is great they never died on me wather I'm bike rising for five hrs or driving around. No one has ever complain about not understanding what I'm saying while talking to them. Sometime people so have a problem hearing me when I have a coat on. I like the retractable ear buds as well.

Good Product - Not Good for Running

These headphones have great battery life and I really like the built-in speakers a lot more than I thought I would. The size is not cumbersome, but it is noticeable and there are slimmer product out there. The sound quality is outstanding. However, I do often have issues with the bluetooth cutting in and out when my phone is in my pocket and, although advertised as athletic headphones, these headphones are not comfortable to run in. They slide to one side as you run and the band tugs at the cords, pulling the earbuds slowly out of your ear. It's a pain to have to adjust when running.

These headphones have a great sound. While listening to music like classical you’ll forget that they’re headphones and think you’re at the concert hall. My only complaints are that the earbuds are not push button retractable. You have to pull slightly and let them draw back individually. Also they fit tighter than the more premium ones I owned. The plus side is that the premium ones are $100 more. These headphones are a bargain with the big sounds if you can get past those minor quirks.

This is a great product. Had them for about 8 months and they work so good. No problems with charging and the battery power does last as long as it says on the package. This was one of the cheaper head phones to buy, as there are many more that are way more expensive. The quality of these are so good, I would suggest these to anyone looking to buy wireless headphones. Very durable as well.

These headphones are honestly great for running. But what sucks about them is that they cannot take or receive calls. That is the only downside. I had been looking for some great running headphones cause everything else had been falling out of my ears, but when I saw these I decided to give them a shot. Was it worth it? Yes. Every penny was. I would not go with any other headphones... but if you want calls to be taken don't get these... but they are great running headphones.
