This wireless device is not good for the professional business man. Doesn't stay in your ears, the voice recording is worst I have ever seen. Battery time is much less. Problem is I use it all day for telephone conversations and dictating large files all day. It's not a good device for this. Go back to drawing board.

The unboxing is fairly simple, and presented well. In the box is the earbuds, neckband, and a separate box with the tone accessories which are the manual, a USB charge cable, and an extra set of ear gels size small. First thing to do is charge them. This is done by inserting the ear buds into the neckband where they clip in easily, then inserting the included USB cable into the neckband. You'll need a USB port with power for this. It took about a little less than an hour to charge them to full for the first time.
The pairing process was very simple. I just powered on the neck band, then went into the Bluetooth settings of my phone (Oneplus 3T). Then selected the earbuds from the available devices. It instantly paired and was ready to go. Each earbud has a single multi function button that is easy to find. You can use this to answer calls, pause and play audio, and double tap to select the next track while listening to music. Call audio was clear with no issues hearing, although the audio in calls only plays through the left earbud. The music audio was pretty flat though and not very loud even at full volume. Im use to the loudness, clarity and bass from another set of wireless earbuds I have and the LG's just didnt sound very good by comparison. The volume is controlled via the device it is connected to.
The main issue for me though is the fitment. In my ears they would definitely not work for any sort of exercise like jogging, or cycling. They fall out easily since they dont have the arc supporters to help them stay in my ear. Even with moderate head movement they fall out. This isnt to say this will happen to everyone, maybe my ears are just different.
So overall these are decent earbuds, but just didnt work out for me. Especially when you consider how much more expensive they are compared to other wireless earbuds.

Nice sounding lightweight wireless headphones

This headphones are very light and sound good. I have had trouble in the past with in-ear headphones falling out while I'm wearing them. These seem to do a much better job of staying put. They sound good, though sometimes it takes some effort to get them placed properly to get the best sound. Connecting was simple and the wireless range seems to be pretty great. I used the app on an Android phone, but I imagine it's pretty similar on the iPhone. It worked well, but one somewhat annoying thing is that when you would adjust the volume from within the app, the headphones respond with a beep, letting you know a change has been made. The problem with that is it turns the music volume down quite a bit while the beep is played. This makes it hard to get a good idea of exactly how loud the headphones are while trying to quickly make an adjustment. The neckband is an interesting way to feel notifications when you receive a text or phone call, if you prefer not to had your music interrupted while you're exercising. Speaking of which, this would probably be a great choice for physical activities, keeping wires out of the way.
Pros: Great range, good sound, lightweight, nice features
Cons: In-app beep, sometimes difficult to get situated

Good But Not Great

At the urging of my son, I picked this up and have used these for everything ranging from phone calls to running with music. Many of my pros and cons have already been identified by others so I’ll only cover the key points I’ve experienced with regular use over the past month I’ve owned it.
Pros:
- The sound quality is excellent. Clear sound with no dropouts experienced. Multiple people I’ve called have commented it sounds as if I had the phone to my ear vs. a Bluetooth device. One even commented it seems we were standing by each other. - I can still listen to music with the neck piece in a backpack or attached to a water pack.
- Lightweight neck piece and fits comfortably.
- Decent battery life. With typical phone usage, I’ve had to recharge every 2-4 days. (also see cons below)
- Pairing was very simple and completed with minimal lag compared to other Bluetooth devices I’ve synced.
- Chargeable via micro USB so I can use the same charger as many of my other devices.
Cons:
- You can only listen to calls from the left earbud (main earbud). Don’t need to hear a call in stereo but if the primary earbud dies, the rest is useless.
- No volume controls. Even without this, it would be nice to temporarily mute a song or voice call without handling the phone.
- Earbuds do not fit well and are bulky and heavy. They kept falling out, making them unusable for walking, biking, running, or mowing the lawn.
- Listening to music drastically reduced battery life to only a handful of hours. I wouldn’t expect constant power as from a wired connection, but I would like enough power to last through a long-distance run (I know this isn’t typical, but it’s important to me).
In my opinion, the pros and cons balance if the cost is appropriate. However, the cost is too high to consider it a great value. Paying $200 for a pair of wireless headphones, I’d expect them to fit stable in my ears and provide some remote controlling of the input.

Convenient but could have been better

Pros:
1. Truely wireless. I have used them for my daily commutes to work, walking around city and running on the tread mill. They fit well and have never come out. With my previous bluetooth headsets I always had the issue of neck cord rustling against my clothes while running. But as there is no cord on these, that issue is gone. I was a bit skeptical that they will come out while running as there is nothing to hold them against the ears. But they fit my ears pretty well and do not come out.
2. Easy to use. they are ready to pair as soon as you take them out of the band.
3. Neck band provides charging so it's like a mini power bank for the ear buds
Cons:
1. No volume controls on the ear buds or neck band. It's a hassle that I have to always reach out to my phone to adjust the volume.
2. Only left ear bud is used while on the phone. It would have been much better if the sound was coming out of both buds. This combined with the fact that there are no volume controls is really inconvenient.
3. Sound quality is lacking. I personally listen to music at normal volumes so this is not so much of an issue for me but I have observed that the sound distorts at high volume levels. So, if you like to listen to music at high volume these are not good for you.
Overall, I am ok with these buds because of the convenience that they provide. But I think they could have been better. Specially, for a price tag of $200, they are not worth it. I hope LG will listen and improve these buds to make them perfect!

Disappointed

I was looking forward enjoying these but I cannot recommend them at any price. There are many issues with this.
The headphones are, as stated, truly wireless. The left earpiece is the 'primary' that pairs to the phone, and connects with the neckband and the right earpiece.
The neckband, which is quite large and weights 2 oz, serves as a charging station and can be set to vibrate when receiving a call. It seems it can give the headphones a full additional charge.
LG sells an additional charging base so the neckband wouldn't be necessary but it's not included in the package.
There is a single control button on either earpiece, which perform different functions with single or double clicks. There is no volume control (it has to be done from the phone), and there is no way to skip back songs, but it can skip forward with a double click. Only the left earpiece can trigger BT pairing, so keep it in mind.
Sound: It sounds just OK. It's programmed to be bass-heavy and can be changed by installing an app (Android and iOS) for a more natural sound or more treble. The sound is natural and acceptable bass but doesn't have depth. Higher tones sound distorted and metallic. Honestly, a pair of BT headphones I got last year for $ 10 sound actually a lot better than these.
For audio (podcasts) the audio is fine, but for any type of music from jazz, instrumental or pop, the treble sounds are problematic.
For phone calls, it has a single microphone and sounds horrible. Use them with an iPhone and Siri could not understand me well enough. Bad sign. So I used the app that's available for these to record a voice note. The result sounded distant, noisy and with some amount of echo, so it wouldn't be good for voice calls.
Fit: The neckband feels like a large horseshoe and at 2 oz, it can be felt around the neck. Two sizes of earplugs are included in the box. I usually wear small or medium, but the smaller wouldn't fit right. The earpieces have an unusually large prong and then then all the weight of the earpiece is hanging from the ear, so they constantly fall, even when sitting still, and keep on trying to adjust it but inevitably gets loose and falls, plus hang off the ear in an odd position, sticking out.
When the earpieces are plugged into the neckband, they stay secure and start charging.
Bluetooth: Being disappointed with the sound with an iPhone, I then paired it with a new Sony receiver that supports NFC pairing, APTX and LDAC. The headphones only support SBC, so keep audio expectations in check. It connects via BT 4.2 and LE (for notifications). The Bluetooth range is excellent. I can walk two rooms away from the phone without issue.
So there are many cons to recommend these to anyone: Audio is not good enough, the neckband is too large and unnecessary. It would've been better for me to include the charging dock instead. Unless you have large ears and large ear canals, fit will likely be an issue. They stick out too much and fall off, without anything to hold them in case they fall.

Great earbuds, they are really comfy and fit well in my ears. The neckband isn't heavy at all. Sound quality is good!
+Pros:
Good battery life, last me a whole day at work listening to music on breaks.
Comfy, fit well in my ear.
Neckband not heavy
-Cosn:
You have to double press on one of the earbuds to skip to next track, which make your ear canals hurt since you're pressing in. On my old LG tone wired ones, skip forward had a dedicated button, as backward.
Also, I hate that you can't adjust volume with the neckband, there isn't a volume up or down button, you have to use the LG tone app, great step backwards from my old LG wired tone headset.

The product like every other has its pro and cons i got it since my LG HBS760 one of the earphones stop working after almost 2 years went in the store and ended up with this one.
Pros
Has great wireless audio quality.
Very light for extended use in the ear
Portable charger because the neckband provides extra battery life
The neck band work as a storage for the earplugs they lock in place and has a release latch button to secure them in place.
Cons
Disconnects from phone constantly
Sometimes they fall off the ear
Poor battery life like 3 hours of playback approximately
Sometimes both earphones won't connect simultaneously one connects before then the other.

I like the wireless ear buds. They worked fine for a couple months. Now people I talk to on them tell me they can barely hear me. I sound muffled, I sound far away. Gonna take back and swap for a different headset. Think I might stay away from LG. This is my 3rd headset that I've bought that's LG in the past 3 years. They last a year at most and then they are done.

Finally companies are producing in-ear headphones that aren't tethered to something. The ear buds here are comfortable in the ear and I have had no problem with them staying in place (I'm more of a brisk walker than I am a runner - but I think these would be fine for a runner too). They have a full and clear sound and I love that the volume is controlled from your device and NOT from the headset - I don't know why all bluetooth devices aren't controlled like that. Another bonus is that the neckband also serves as a charging unit that charges the earbuds even when the unit isn't plugged in - so you charge the neckband AND the earbuds but then the neckband serves to recharge the earbuds after use. Music navigation and pausing and call answering are controlled by buttons on the earbuds - an excellent design. These are great.

Personally I like this earbuds because it is lightweight, great sound quality and battery life.
They are very easy to pair with my Samsung On5 phone; when you have them on your ear it lets you know if they are paired. They are very comfortable to wear because they are lightweight. They are great to carry and small enough to store away in any bag. I did not have a problem with the earbuds staying in my ears; other buds usually come off easily, but not this pair. These actually stay in your ears. holds charge for all my talk time of my most busiest days. The sound is really great. It is fast, clear with good bass. This product was intended for my use, but it has been my wife who uses it the most. I will give these to her for her use. My summary of my review: Happy Wife = Happy Life.

I'll start by saying that sound quality is not that big of an issue to me. I listen mostly to audiobooks and podcasts so my main concern is reliability, simplicity, and convenience. Unfortunately these buds fail all three.
When these earbuds pair, they work fine but when they DO NOT pair, or only one earbud pairs... It is frustrating. One week of using these and I've had 3 or 4 problems with pairing.
Also, there's no way of controlling volume with the earbuds or neckband. That is just unacceptable for Bluetooth earbuds.
I like LG as a brand (I have the LG g watch r, and own a previous pair of their tone Bluetooth earbuds) but they just dropped the ball with this one.

My Pair Have Been Great

My previous pair of LG Bluetooth Headphones (LG TONE INFINIM HBS-910) broke so had to get a new pair, and was disappointed when I found hat they had discontinued them. I had the Best Buy protection plan on them so I was looking to replace them.
I use my Bluetooth headphones everyday and for a significant amount of my workday. I went to Best Buy to get my replacements and found these on clearance for half off (first great thing). The first pair I got, the left earbud just would not connect. Went back to Best Buy and exchanged them for another pair with no hassle at all.
The second pair has worked fantastic. They have a great range, I get like 60 or 70 feet out of them. Sound quality is pretty good for being in-the-ear buds and I have had no complaints from people that I talk to on the phone that they have troubles hearing or understanding me. Battery life is pretty good especially since they charge when in the neckband. I also like the neck band dock since they are always right there. They are also very easy to take out of the neckband dock but putting them back in is a bit more difficult. I cannot seem to put them back with one hand (yet). They also stay in my ear very well while I am working. I do wish that there were volume and skip forward and back controls on the neckband or better yet on the earbuds themselves. The phone app for these leaves a bit to be desired, when it works it is okay, but sometimes just has trouble seeing them or trouble connecting when they are obviously connected to the phone.
Now I would like to say that the Best Buy replacement plan for items like this is great. This is my 6th pair of Bluetooth head phones in 5 years, and I have had the replacement plan on all of them. Because I use them every day and for 6 to 8 hours a day, they will eventually break. Every time that they have failed I have gone to the local Best Buy and replaced them with little to no problem at all. The only problem I ever had was the store associate having difficulty finding the plan in their computer system.
I get a replacement pair, sometimes for a little more money, sometimes for a bit less, put the replacement plan on the new pair and drive on. In this last instance, because they were half off, I was able to get the new pair, the replacement plan and a Best Buy gift card for $15.00. No cost out of my pocket. Not to shabby, the replacement plan (at least for easily broken items like this) is just fantastic. Basically I have got six pairs of Bluetooth headphones for the price of two.
This is a great first attempt at true wireless earbuds by LG in my opinion and look forward to their next iteration when this pair eventually fails.

The headphones are awesome sounds quality is ok if alittle lite on bass. The lg free have great range and if you use the band you can listen to either headphone one at a time just know if using the right it will still play out of the left, you just won't hear it if it's in the neck band. The some improvements would be water proofing and more controls on the buds. The buttons on the buds are hard to use and can start to Hart after awhile of mashing. I would recommend using your phone instead to control everything.

These wireless earbuds sit and charge around your neck, keeping your Bluetooth close at hand. Takes a few tries to get use to releasing earbuds with one hand.
Three complaints - 2 hand operation to firmly place ear piece in charger, 1 ear bud is dependent on the other (can't use one and then use the other one independently, if main ear bud dies, can't use the other in it's place), and the next charger is bulky.

When I was introduced to them I thought they were the best thing that was ever made. Once used you to only talk on one earpiece but listen to music in stereo. I'm used to the LG's being in both ears.
You can easily lose your pieces if you go for a jog as they will fall out of your ear or can be misplaced and then the LG's would be useless.
Everyone that I spoke with over the phone using the headset had a tough time hearing me and said i sounded as if I was distant or muffled or inside of a trashcan. I have replaced them with the beats X and I am satisfied

LG you're my company for my TV and I love you for it but these earbuds missed the mark in a large way. I wanted something that was going to push the envelope and go above and beyond what I expected.
Unfortunately these ear buds came short of that. It took multiple times to try and sync them and then when I finally did i was not able to walk as far way from the phone without losing some kind of connection.
I guess with so many other choices in wireless earphones I thought these would be a great fix for what I was trying to accomplish.
The concept of receiving a vibration for a text is goo but these earbuds just didn't do it for me.

I've purchased at least 4 LG headsets. This one is not the best even though it cost more than all the others. The headset has to connect to bluetooth as well as the individual ear pieces. It has difficulty staying paired to the phone. I've had it for about 2 months to give it a fair shot but corded LG set is so much better to me especially since this one seems to need to be constantly charged unlike the others.
