Hard to use, doesn't stay in ears, poor speaker
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wireless device is not good for the professional business man. Doesn't stay in your ears, the voice recording is worst I have ever seen. Battery time is much less. Problem is I use it all day for telephone conversations and dictating large files all day. It's not a good device for this. Go back to drawing board.

Convenient but could have been better
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: 1. Truely wireless. I have used them for my daily commutes to work, walking around city and running on the tread mill. They fit well and have never come out. With my previous bluetooth headsets I always had the issue of neck cord rustling against my clothes while running. But as there is no cord on these, that issue is gone. I was a bit skeptical that they will come out while running as there is nothing to hold them against the ears. But they fit my ears pretty well and do not come out. 2. Easy to use. they are ready to pair as soon as you take them out of the band. 3. Neck band provides charging so it's like a mini power bank for the ear buds Cons: 1. No volume controls on the ear buds or neck band. It's a hassle that I have to always reach out to my phone to adjust the volume. 2. Only left ear bud is used while on the phone. It would have been much better if the sound was coming out of both buds. This combined with the fact that there are no volume controls is really inconvenient. 3. Sound quality is lacking. I personally listen to music at normal volumes so this is not so much of an issue for me but I have observed that the sound distorts at high volume levels. So, if you like to listen to music at high volume these are not good for you. Overall, I am ok with these buds because of the convenience that they provide. But I think they could have been better. Specially, for a price tag of $200, they are not worth it. I hope LG will listen and improve these buds to make them perfect!

Just OK. Fitment and audio quality issues.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The unboxing is fairly simple, and presented well. In the box is the earbuds, neckband, and a separate box with the tone accessories which are the manual, a USB charge cable, and an extra set of ear gels size small. First thing to do is charge them. This is done by inserting the ear buds into the neckband where they clip in easily, then inserting the included USB cable into the neckband. You'll need a USB port with power for this. It took about a little less than an hour to charge them to full for the first time. The pairing process was very simple. I just powered on the neck band, then went into the Bluetooth settings of my phone (Oneplus 3T). Then selected the earbuds from the available devices. It instantly paired and was ready to go. Each earbud has a single multi function button that is easy to find. You can use this to answer calls, pause and play audio, and double tap to select the next track while listening to music. Call audio was clear with no issues hearing, although the audio in calls only plays through the left earbud. The music audio was pretty flat though and not very loud even at full volume. Im use to the loudness, clarity and bass from another set of wireless earbuds I have and the LG's just didnt sound very good by comparison. The volume is controlled via the device it is connected to. The main issue for me though is the fitment. In my ears they would definitely not work for any sort of exercise like jogging, or cycling. They fall out easily since they dont have the arc supporters to help them stay in my ear. Even with moderate head movement they fall out. This isnt to say this will happen to everyone, maybe my ears are just different. So overall these are decent earbuds, but just didnt work out for me. Especially when you consider how much more expensive they are compared to other wireless earbuds.

Good But Not Great
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At the urging of my son, I picked this up and have used these for everything ranging from phone calls to running with music. Many of my pros and cons have already been identified by others so I’ll only cover the key points I’ve experienced with regular use over the past month I’ve owned it. Pros: - The sound quality is excellent. Clear sound with no dropouts experienced. Multiple people I’ve called have commented it sounds as if I had the phone to my ear vs. a Bluetooth device. One even commented it seems we were standing by each other. - I can still listen to music with the neck piece in a backpack or attached to a water pack. - Lightweight neck piece and fits comfortably. - Decent battery life. With typical phone usage, I’ve had to recharge every 2-4 days. (also see cons below) - Pairing was very simple and completed with minimal lag compared to other Bluetooth devices I’ve synced. - Chargeable via micro USB so I can use the same charger as many of my other devices. Cons: - You can only listen to calls from the left earbud (main earbud). Don’t need to hear a call in stereo but if the primary earbud dies, the rest is useless. - No volume controls. Even without this, it would be nice to temporarily mute a song or voice call without handling the phone. - Earbuds do not fit well and are bulky and heavy. They kept falling out, making them unusable for walking, biking, running, or mowing the lawn. - Listening to music drastically reduced battery life to only a handful of hours. I wouldn’t expect constant power as from a wired connection, but I would like enough power to last through a long-distance run (I know this isn’t typical, but it’s important to me). In my opinion, the pros and cons balance if the cost is appropriate. However, the cost is too high to consider it a great value. Paying $200 for a pair of wireless headphones, I’d expect them to fit stable in my ears and provide some remote controlling of the input.

Good but with some flaws
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great earbuds, they are really comfy and fit well in my ears. The neckband isn't heavy at all. Sound quality is good! +Pros: Good battery life, last me a whole day at work listening to music on breaks. Comfy, fit well in my ear. Neckband not heavy -Cosn: You have to double press on one of the earbuds to skip to next track, which make your ear canals hurt since you're pressing in. On my old LG tone wired ones, skip forward had a dedicated button, as backward. Also, I hate that you can't adjust volume with the neckband, there isn't a volume up or down button, you have to use the LG tone app, great step backwards from my old LG wired tone headset.

Disappointed
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking forward enjoying these but I cannot recommend them at any price. There are many issues with this. The headphones are, as stated, truly wireless. The left earpiece is the 'primary' that pairs to the phone, and connects with the neckband and the right earpiece. The neckband, which is quite large and weights 2 oz, serves as a charging station and can be set to vibrate when receiving a call. It seems it can give the headphones a full additional charge. LG sells an additional charging base so the neckband wouldn't be necessary but it's not included in the package. There is a single control button on either earpiece, which perform different functions with single or double clicks. There is no volume control (it has to be done from the phone), and there is no way to skip back songs, but it can skip forward with a double click. Only the left earpiece can trigger BT pairing, so keep it in mind. Sound: It sounds just OK. It's programmed to be bass-heavy and can be changed by installing an app (Android and iOS) for a more natural sound or more treble. The sound is natural and acceptable bass but doesn't have depth. Higher tones sound distorted and metallic. Honestly, a pair of BT headphones I got last year for $ 10 sound actually a lot better than these. For audio (podcasts) the audio is fine, but for any type of music from jazz, instrumental or pop, the treble sounds are problematic. For phone calls, it has a single microphone and sounds horrible. Use them with an iPhone and Siri could not understand me well enough. Bad sign. So I used the app that's available for these to record a voice note. The result sounded distant, noisy and with some amount of echo, so it wouldn't be good for voice calls. Fit: The neckband feels like a large horseshoe and at 2 oz, it can be felt around the neck. Two sizes of earplugs are included in the box. I usually wear small or medium, but the smaller wouldn't fit right. The earpieces have an unusually large prong and then then all the weight of the earpiece is hanging from the ear, so they constantly fall, even when sitting still, and keep on trying to adjust it but inevitably gets loose and falls, plus hang off the ear in an odd position, sticking out. When the earpieces are plugged into the neckband, they stay secure and start charging. Bluetooth: Being disappointed with the sound with an iPhone, I then paired it with a new Sony receiver that supports NFC pairing, APTX and LDAC. The headphones only support SBC, so keep audio expectations in check. It connects via BT 4.2 and LE (for notifications). The Bluetooth range is excellent. I can walk two rooms away from the phone without issue. So there are many cons to recommend these to anyone: Audio is not good enough, the neckband is too large and unnecessary. It would've been better for me to include the charging dock instead. Unless you have large ears and large ear canals, fit will likely be an issue. They stick out too much and fall off, without anything to hold them in case they fall.

Solid Tech, Good Audio
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These earbuds are a nice new take on portable audio. Device pairing was simple, as usual with bluetooth, and the earbuds were already charged. After turning them on, a voice tells you the battery life remaining (mine was "high"). I then tested the audio quality, listening to a podcast and some music. Both were clear and of good quality. One thing I find most important with earbuds is how well they stay in your ears without falling out. These earbuds come with 2 sizes of ear-gels. The default size fit well for me (average size ears), and the 2nd set are slightly smaller. I could see this device being used by someone doing basic workouts, but nothing too vigorous. You would not want the neckband to be bouncing around and the earbuds could easily fall out if you are jumping or doing anything high impact. They would be great for walks or ellipticals. I love the design of the neckband. The earbuds snap in place very easily for charging. They can be charged straight from the band, or the band and buds can be charged at the same time with the use of a micro USB cable (included). Overall, I highly recommend this set of earphones. It's a reasonable price while having a great design and performance.

Great idea but sound quality lacking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Concept is great. You don't have to wear the neck piece to work. Syncing with phone was quick and easy Sound quality was lacking fullness for me but some might like it. I'm just a snob when it comes to music.....

Q: QuestionI just bought these and when i make a call I can hardly hear anything on my left earbud. How can this be adjusted? Also, when making calls does the right ear bud not work ever?
Asked by wsay.
- A:Answer Calls are not for the right ear bud only the left Left ear bud is your dominant ear bud.
Answered by Shadowcat666
Q: QuestionHow do I pair this thing?
Asked by Dummy.
- A:Answer 1. Fully charge the TONE Free unit with both earbuds attached. 2. Before removing the earbuds, turn the neckband switch ON then wear it around your neck. 3. Detach each earbud and insert them in the appropriate ear. 4. Hold the LEFT earbud's button until you get a tone and audio queue that its ready for pairing... 5. Go to your Bluetooth settings on the target device and look for "HBSF110 Master" and follow the prompts. ONLY PAIR THE MASTER! 6. Follow all of the prompts then you should be able to use it as an audio output device as with any other bluetooth connected peripheral (different based on the type of device you have. Enjoy!

Q: QuestionDo you have to wear the neck band say I’m working out the band would get in the way could I just leave it nearby if so how far away
Asked by Mani.
- A:Answer The neckband does not have to be on your body during operation. We would recommend keeping the neckband within 30 feet of the earbuds and your phone. ^CP
